The "yessssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssss" sounds like steam excaping.
Camp is under appreciated in my opinion, though I should say sadly it’s mostly used in a derogatory sense, but when it’s used like this it can be fantastically fun~!
The lesbian lighting designer stereotype is hilarious. 🤣 I personally felt called out because of how on the money it was. There are a lot of us who are exactly like this.
Mel Brooks movies are so funny, he even leaves the cast breaking "outtakes" in the movie: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-hYTQ7__NNDI.html
For some reason the tonal switch when he says "but I think I look more like the CHRYSLER BUILDING" always gets me no matter how many times I've seen this movie
I love some of the changes in this version. The original had Max saying “That dress is you!” but here he says “That building is you!” I think the musical version really tightened up the dialogue, although some changes weren’t as good (like the actor being absolutely terrible, making it comedic, instead of the person playing it straight having to be replaced at the last minute).
he was drunk, he was hot, you got lucky .... hahahahhaha pricelessssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssss
This scene makes me laugh out loud repeatedly each time I watch it. The comic timing and extreme exaggeration of true things is flawless. These actors are really on-point.
"Hello, the living room of renowned theatrical director Roger De Bris' elegant Upper East Side townhouse on a sunny Tuesday afternoon in June. Whom may I say is calling?" The best way to answer a call! Hahaha!
#ThrowbackThursday I haven’t realized when I was younger. But Gary (RIP) and Roger play each other off so good. If they collaborated one more time outside the Producers, I would picture them as Edna and Wilbur Turnblad in Hairspray.
Hollywood musicals are great! I've watched a number of them, Bathing Beauty, Moulin Rouge, Hairspray, Chicargo, and of course The Producers. Never one of them disappointed me.
LOVE IT!! This scene, and all the characters in it so remind me of the 'old gang', back in the Day. When Camp was dejour. Running like Mad Queens up and down the Boardwalk in Atlantic City, going from one Drag Show to another likewise in Philly..LMAO We kept is Fun, we kept it GAY!..
Oh my God, they totally nailed it. I can't remember a depiction so accurate. This is exactly what gay guys are like at home alone. We crossdress and spontaneously break out into song and dance. Everything is so elegantly decorated and spotlessly clean. I'm going to stop texting right now and search my house where they put that hidden camera. Is it behind the painting? The marble statue? The velvet curtains? Porcelain figurines?
😂😂😂😂 I always took it as more making fun of and being self aware of blatantly offensive gay stereotypes, rather than gaya themselves ? :) Anyways your comment made me chuckle! Good day :)
Probably the most underrated joke is that Carmen is so accepting of other people's identities that he isn't even unphased by the sw**t**as on Leo and Max's arms. XD
@@susanfagan2727 OMG I didn't hear that Beach had died. What a waste. He was only 70 and so talented. He had been nominated for four Tony Awards. RIP to a gifted artist.
the guy at the beginning of this video (the guy who answers the phone i can't remember his name), was the singing voice of the young hercules(before he got buff) in Disney's Hercules movie.
Love the MOVEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE.
Im not gay and have nothing against gay people, if it's who you love then love them. That being said I seriously would want to play Roger De Bries . I mean really he's the one character that steals the movie and play.
That's actually a very cute couple. Let's face it, compared to some the marriages out there they're a happy happy couple. And what's another word for happy people?
It was more the FACT back in the Day.....and NONE-OF-US, though ourselves 'stereotypical or STEREOTYPED. THAT, is a recent and current 're-writing' of social History by so, so many to Today's FAB and 'Socially Aware'(NOT!!) Gays. Like trying NOT to introduce your Grandparents to your 'friends' lest they embarrass you..LMFAO..
This brilliant movie would not be able to be produced in 2023 and that is a statement about the ridiculous and pathetic state of society today. The Original Flic is a treasure
