Darn tough wool 💯 Wet feet in cotton will kill you - and I have been soaked so many times. Greetings from Anchorage. Actually, there have been times that only my wet feet in wool were warm.

My 1st "Survival" book was a 2nd grade reader featuring John, Jean and Judy. After raking a giant heap of leaves, Judy's uncle Zeke, made an oven from some loose bricks, built a leaf fire and baked two potatoes. I was hooked from that moment on. My First real survival book was AF Manual 64-5, Aircrew Survival.

Any recommendations on ticks ? I'm definitely nervous about Lyme disease after my niece got the disease at age 10 and I'm told this really does a number on our bodies if infected. Thanks for the tips

I use Sawyer insects replant. I treat all my outdoors items with it. Sleeping pad, pack, pants, hat, jacket, shirt and shoes. In my experience it has worked extremely well. To the point of me living in tick infested areas for several days without issues. Other folks around me were pulling ticks off of themselves hourly. amzn.to/3TyP9z2

The numbering system is aligned to subject, not chronology. Jay was one of our early authors so he finished his CM9 (survival related subject) so we released it when it was ready. The 3 (AR manual) will be done shortly, release around mid April projected.
