I remember like 2 years back, I met a guy who always played on the offensive, always in the mix but he always complained about his P-51 not having enough firepower so I recomended him this plane that he had never touched, after that he took all the kills of the next games, it was so funny and he thanked me like a million time for making him discover that plane that he never even tought about. Aaaaah good memories...

Spit could you take a look at the British counterpart, theHornet for a comparison? It recurved 150oct fuel not long ago. Japanese Ki-83 would be cool to see too, its a beaut.

You need to use manual engine controls with that plane, so you can full WEP without overheating, it gets even better performance that way.

Enjoyable plane? sure, that's up to you. But calling this good at 6.7? It's extremely situational and the situations it's good at, there are other planes that can do that better (and then some) at a lower br. Props at 6.7 are already in a bad spot and even as a prop it's not particularly good. the footage is from a BR range it's supposed to be at 6.0-7.0, I don't know how many games you did but you will fight 7.3-7.7 jets very often. Vs which you can do essentially nothing. Even vs a lot of 6.0-6.3s you will struggle and that's a "downtier" The main strength is the air spawn with the amount of guns, very easy to counter even more so at this BR. And now I want to add that I am talking about the F7F-3 Which is the superior variant of these two

As a matter of fact, the F7F generally does not eat jets for breakfast.

F7F does not eat anything for breakfast, except for afk players, bad players or players who are new to jets and do not know how to play them. This plane has no business being at such a high br. Any prop from 5.3-5.7 and up take a dump on this thing. Any jet from 6.3 and up club this thing across the map. Common, the only reason you did well in this battle is because you flew it competently, and everyone else was extremely bad.

Then you remember that this thing was at 6.0. It was glorious

I remember back when the F7F was first introduced, I think it was BR 5.7, and it was spammed to hell because it completely clubbed majority of props it faced

The thing is though, all of those kills you could of got with any plane that has good guns or a good roll rate, in each they were either tunnel visioned and turning infront of you or you reversed them at high speed.

I wouldn't recommend attacking the b-29 from the top since it has the quad 50s up there.

The p61 is the low tier version of this with a 4x 50 cal turret. Same 4 20mm m2 cannons. Best cannons in the game imo until like 7.0+. They hit hard as hell and have long deadly accurate range. I played it so much I eventually got a free talisman for it and grinded the whole US air tech tree with it. It's such a powerful plane for 4.0. It even has air brakes! Great speed and climbing ability too for such a big plane plus like 2000m+ airspawn which makes it perfect for hunting big bombers like the bv238 and me264. I played the f7f and I liked it but I still like the p61 better because the turret always comes in handy. And really performance wise they really aren't far off from eachother. Takes some time to learn its quirks but the p61 is such a deadly overlooked plane.

Dont worry spit, we all still know the pains of lockdown and I am really thankful and impressed that you keep going on making content and its always great content at that, keep it up man!

I got to be honest. Gaijin adding the BR of 11.0 has improved my time in the game immeasurably. Playing 9.7 and 10.0 is possible again.

Anyone else wonder what will happen when they can’t add any more aircraft? I get worried knowing there aren’t many jets they can add to certain trees left, hopefully I’m wrong.

What I hate the most about the tiger cat is the constant uptier to 7.7. If it wasnt for that, I'd be playing it more often

While playing cat and mouse is fun, people DONT PLAY LIKE SPIT DID IN THIS VIDEO. Pitching up straight to less than 200kph on a heavy fighter is pretty much a death sentence for that fighter, and anybody with half a brain will use flaps and will throttle drop you. This video is all fun and games but should NOT be taken as examples on how to play. The only reason he’s alive is because he had teammates around that forced the kikka and the f80 to not be able to throttle drop. PS I love you spit but this thing is bad at 6.7 D:

My personal experience is way different... literaly all matches are uptiered against jets - not most of them, all of them. Although still having a positive k/d ratio, it is hell difficult to face competitive players with much faster jets. If they play right, the chance to survive is pretty low. Don't get me wrong, the plane is very good and I really like it, but 6,7 is definitelly not the right BR, 6,3 would be much better for avoiding some jets, which are simply way better in speed and energy retention. So.. rellying on your team might be challenging and sometimes fun, but it is mostly a way to hangar.

i played 280 battles with Ki-87 alone, never seen this thing in battle. The only tigercat i remember is one i effortlessly killed with J7W1 at 9000m So yea, it must be very shit if it is avoided this much.

you should try the F7F-3 its a tigercat with more powerful engines and can also carry tiny tims so its good for CAS, its also gets a premium modifier

This plane is lord of simulator battles at 6.7-7.7. Completely dominates early jets like the Me-262 and Mig-9 and Yak models. Low altitude energy retention is amazing since no one actually flies high altitude with their jets in Sim. I love this plane so much! And if you wanna make tanks piss their pants👀

High tier naval props are the best. So easy to kill jets in those planes and they are always good against props too.

The only thing I dislike about it is that it used to be 6.0 and oh boy I miss the prop matches. I don't even play it anymore because I'm tired of constantly facing jets

The naval changes have increased the market value of this plane by 25% bc there aren't many 6.7s out there, especially for the US.

You dive at 800 km/h with F7F. As a beginner, I bought the He-100 yesterday, and I think about my dives at the same speed… in 1.7 BR But in US tech tree, the F2A performs almost the same in dive but with a much more powerful armement.

I've been a fan of the F7F for decades. I had a WW2 sim that featured it, and I had so much fun flying it. (I haven't flown it in WT, though). It's one of the best boom and zoom fighters there is. Two big ol' honkin' Prat and Whitney 2000 HP engines with a slim narrow airframe with a sh*tload of guns.

I recently got a premium F7F-3 from a case DAMN ITS SO NICE

I love the Tigercat, albeit mainly because I love the 6.7br rb ground forces lineup for the USA. So it's at the perfect br to provide CAS for them :)

As someone that really enjoyed Naval AB, it is hard to stay positive since the last update. Many of us have not been back to it since.

considering that two of Grumman‘s finest efforts in the form of the F8 bear cat, and this bird right here… One has to wonder just what reality would have been had the bomb not ended the war when it did requiring both of these to come into deployment status, although I guess there wasn’t just a whole lot for them to fight, plus everyone was crazy but about jets in the Korean conflict which pretty much kept these two on the ground. I have this one, and it's a blast to play. I'm just not a very good pilot. Lol. I've run down a few early jets in a dive with it, but I'm more of a ground RB/CAS pilot than a dogfighter.

a good plane to fly when im bored is the j2m2, i dont play japan really but it is really fun to play, or the first ki-27s i think, that are at like 1.7, 2.0 they are so good at climbing and are a tone of fun!
