You can also include how Prophet Muhammad pbuh was sitting when he was eating , he was sitting on the floor on right leg and left leg up pressing his stomach which prevents eating more
Thank you for the video. It was interesting watching this, especially your point about the energy density of Sunnah foods which I've also noticed in my research on Sunnah foods. It seems the desired and recommended way to eat is a small amount/volume of food which has a high caloric density. I find this very interesting because the high volume-low calorie density way of eating is pushed at us in particular for health and weight loss i.e. large bowls of salad. But from the sources there was very little in the way of vegetables in the Sunnah diet (pumpkin and cucumbers are technically classed as fruit) especially the green leafy variety that is so popular today in health circles. It seems that dairy, red meat, fruits and honey were the main categories of food in the Arabian Peninsula at the time and that is what basically comprised the Sunnah diet. Thank you again - it was nice seeing the meals laid out in the day like this.
Good points, but one thing I would take into consideration is the life style of the Arabian peninsula at the time. Majority of people now are secondary, if they were to eat in this manner over a period of time I'm sure they will gain fat. I do like the idea of consuming fruit as your main source of carbs, but am not sure how that would affect body composition. At the end of the day it's about out calories in vs calories out. jAk for watching I'm Glade you enjoyed the video.
@@yfdz6959 There is no evidence (that I'm aware of) to suggest the Prophet PBUH had honey water everyday. I'd imagine honey to be a seasonal thing with occasional access? There is evidence that Nabeez was liked by the Prophet PBUH which is honey water left for one night.
Alhumdulillah, i have been trying to follow prophetic diet as well but our prophet didnt eat all of them everyday but sparingly when available, the day he had milk he didnt eat meat, and no milk and bread together, ghee and meat not together. For months it was only dates and water, peace be upon him.
JazakAllah Aakhi for providing us with such useful information with authentic references. I like this and will going to forward this with my friends.🙂 May Allah reward you for this Aameen.💗
Mashallah mashallah mashallah, it was very to the point, and so fascinating to see that how our beloved prophet's diet was, jazakallah. May ALLAH bless you
Subhanallah... May ALLAH Rewards you with Best of Rewards...brother , for such a wonderful vid...We love prophet Muhammad saw and what he loved ....Most
Thank you so much for sharing ahki. I've been doing quite a bit of research on the eating of the prophet saws. I'm another step closer to setting up my plan. A special thanks for sharing the Tharid experience :).
I am in search of you for many months.. I was too busy with my nikah and now i am totally free and suddenly i remind of yiur channel and the prophetic diet
Salam alaykum brother. JazakAllah khayr for this video. Pls make more videos on prophetic lifestyle. And also about yourself and your life. This is really good content. Hope to see more in sha Allah.
Wa alakum alsalam, jAk brother for your comment. I'm glad you enjoyed the video. Im working on more content and In sha Allah i can put it out soon.barak Allahu feek.
The food was caloric dense because he never ate to his fill pbuh, used to fast every monday, thursday and the 13th,14th,15th of every month, that's at least 9 days of the month
Masha Allah… well done brother… Jazakumullahu khairan 🤲🏼 …insha Allah will try some if not all of these too, will try to incorporate it into our family’s meals 😉
The prophet peace be upon him, perfered meat, that was his favorite thing to eat, and he ate it when it was available, not necessarily only for special occasions but when ever he had access to it.
I also heard that, I don't know who mentioned it or was it the prophet said. I don't know who it was, I heard during the prophet's time, The messenger or one of his ummah warned us beware of eating meat, because it has the addiction like wine. Also the messenger even mentioned do not make your stomach into a graveyard for the animals.
MashaAllah! Amazing work my brother. I’ve been wanting to try this out since a while now. Really appreciate all the efforts you put into making this video. Much appreciated. Thanks a lot!
@@gururajugururaju6255 its hard to give detailed advice over a comment, but generally speaking try consuming more carbs for energy, a high protein diet is also very important
Shukran aghee. Subhan Allah so simple. I was thinking the lunch meal reminded me of date balls. It would actually be nice to add some coconut and make it a lunch snack at work. Excellent for energy midday.
Assalam Wallikym Brother, My name is Esam and I am from Yemen living in Florida. It is nice to meet you and I am learning alot from your video. I am your friend and muslim brother in Islam. Where are you from? Thank you for educating the Umma about how the prophet Mohammed ate. May Allah give you extra blessings!!! Ajwa dates are on the high end on Amazon and wanted to know if you know where to purchase for a good deal? Do you add water or milk to the Ajwa dates? From what I researched, I found out that your suppose to add honey to warm water and not cold water, Des that make a differance? I love you for the sake of Allah and Inshallah I will be your brother in Islam and we will keep the communication open, again JAK for the video and maybe you can tell us more about the Sunna of Prophe Muhammed in other videos, like how he slept, how he prayed, what he wore, in the form of videos and that way better than just plain text. Peace my brother in Isalm. 🕊
Wa alakum alsalam. Nice to meet you brother. - Ajwa dates are usually more expansive then other types of dates. - you can add water or milk to your dates - the Prophet pbuh performed cold and sweet drinks. Avoid mixing HOT liquids with honey. - Jazak Allah khair for your kind words, May Allah love you. - thanks for the ideas for future videos, please keep me in your dua. Salam
@@justme5617 ✌️🕊️ peace n blessing be upon you brother "Just Me"! Please take care of yourself and thank you for your information and advice! Until next time, I am Esam, my brother in Islam. I wish you a life full of health wealth and happiness. Salam brother "Just Me"
Alhamdulillah! You have done well. I have been searching for a long time for the mentioned hadith app from which you have added. It will be a pleasure if you mention the App.💙
Assalamu alykum brother. MashaAllah brother for fantastic video. We all need to follow our prophet in each and every single way. Just one thing I want to mention brother that please try to add subtitles. So it becomes very very clear even if your voice is low in video. JazakhAllah kahir
@@abdulrehman6791 well, alot of the narrations that I came across in respects to his diet were week narrations. We know that some days he wouldn't eat until noon, and on other days he wouldn't eat until sun set, on other days he ate meat multiple times in a day...
I don't recall any narrations stating eating zucchini.... I'll have to recheck, but as you said he ate available veggies, which I assum weren't many due to the climate environment of the Arabian peninsula
Yes pls, talk about macros. Calories you consume. Alternatives for people that don’t have access to some of the things like the dry yogurt. This really is a great project, also for people wanting to lose weight how do you recommend they incorporate the prophets diet. Cuz it’s calorie loaded.
I listed all the macros in another comment, dry yogurt is a popular jordainan/ Palestinian item called jameed you can find it in your local Mediterranean super market. As mentioned losing weight might be difficult, but still possible, you would want to prioritize your protein intake and keeping a few carbs for just before your workout. Its duable
Note: that the prophet did not eat barley two nights in a row, i believe this is an authentic Hadith you can check the reference. Consider that the prophet peace be upon him, lived in an area were food were scarce the quality of foods were probably not ideal. But the prophet peace be upon him lived red meat and pumkins and dates. So as i see it we should probably avoid foods that have higher amounts of fibre. Focus on animal proteins and high carb sources
Peace ✌️🕊️ brother. I am not familiar with some of the food I saw you eat. Can you kindly tell me what was the white big looking egg like food in English and is that an actual pumpkin, the orange food. 🙏 Thank you brother, will wait for your response! Muck success brother
Salam, sorry for the late reply I just saw your comment. - the orange is pumpkin - the white ball is dried yogurt. You should be able to fnd it at any Mediterranean food store.
@@justme5617 but I appreciate your efforts cause we may know the names of food but you showed us the timing of intake the manner and make it easier to put it into practice on daily basis jak
I don't know where you found the hadith about pumpkin but maybe the translation is wrong. There were no pumpkin in the Eastern hemisphere before 1492. Pumpkin is native to Central America. I wish these RU-vid videos about the prophets diet pbuh would do a little research.
Thanks for watching, the Prophet pbuh didn't have a specific amount of times he ate, some days he wouldn't eat at all and on some days he ate several times. Are you aware of any narration where it specifically say that the prophet didn't eat more then twice in a day?
@@justme5617 It was narrated that ‘Aishah (may Allah be pleased with her) said: “The family of Muhammad (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) did not eat two meals in one day but one of them was dates. Narrated by al-Bukhari, 6455. Al-Hafiz Ibn Hajar (may Allah have mercy on him) said: This indicates that sometimes they could not find anything but one meal in a day, and if they did find two meals, one of them would be dates. End quote. Fath al-Bari (11/292) And Allah knows best.
@@justme5617 assalamu alaikum. My grandmother was a good muslim who was always teaching me about the sunnah when I was near. I dont have a reference from a scholar but I will attempt to research it online when I get off work.
Asalaamu alykum. Can you please give the the overall calories and macro you would consume in a day when following a sunnah diet. As I an trying to gain muscle at the moment. Jazak allah
@@Kingnablo I metioned earlier in another comment the macros for the meals in the video, generally speaking try to get 1g of protein per pound of weight or 2.2g per kilo.
