Great video!! We really enjoyed Chiang Mai last month, and we want to go back - rent a place for a month or so and explore. Just NOT during burning season.
Great video, Pro, I like the fact you can walk down a street 20-30 times and see something you missed the previous times. Exploring around is amazing. Con, is the heat for now. Cheers
Cons I only have three...I agree smoke/smog is the big con...But yes its only months. My other con would be Immigration & that lasts all year 😂 Final con would be traffic. Pro's too many to list 😉 Which makes any con tolerable 😀
Love Chiang Mai - first time visiting Thailand last November! Absolutely loved the country - Going back again this year! Wish so much I could live in Chiang Mai such a great place - But what could I do for work as a Uk citizen? Any ideas? Keep up the good videos @Jon In Chiang Mai
@@David-yx4on I have a job here which is kind of online but I need to work from an office. Getting jobs in Thailand is doable, but it depends on what you do.
fazwaz keeps (and posts) a record of any property bought/sold through them. Not that I think using such an agency is required.. but it's at least 1 data point being made available.. so props for that.
Ah yeah I've seen fazwaz, will have to look at that in more details, but as @carstensanonym7527 said, prices are very often fiddled to help people get mortgages they shouldnt be able to get and for other reasons :)
As always great video. I don't know why but your videos are more ASMR sometimes. I'm still looking for where to move in the future. I've checked houses are from 70 000 USD to infinity .. not to bad, to be honest Thai food is great and maybe once/twice a month treat yourself with western food .. and you are ok .. I mean they have Mcdonalds and Pizza which is already more than enough to calm down your hungry lingual papillae I've liked the video. Cheers.
Point 1 and five are similar, about food. Tell me would you eat Thai street food that’s been sitting out in 42 degree heat for 5 hours I did and was constantly sick with the runs for 4 weeks even though I was drinking bottled water. Destroyed everything
In terms of the natural landscape you missed an obvious one - a con. A lot of people are drawn to Thailand's beaches which is an no no in the North. Could be a deal breaker for some?
You speak of how "beautiful" CM is compared to other areas. I hope you are only comparing within Thailand because most of Asia is truly a polluted dump. Europe has the most beautiful landscapes and the Mediterranean Sea is crystal clear. Where do you think the toilet water and turd ends up in Asia? In the sea. This is well known.
