The fact that you mistook Ruby for Ai at the end really plays into the idea in the show that Ruby looks like and is following in Ai's steps. Unintentional genius!

I like the older Arima Kana… I thought she’d remain haughty and stuck up, but she seemed respectful, positive, and outgoing. I love her cosmos eyes. I hope she’ll be a good influence to pull Aqua out of his darkness.

Sometimes you have to be the "bad guy" for those you love in order to properly protect them from themselves. Aqua was overstepping, yes, but after everything he has been through - and everything Ruby continues to downplay, ignore, or remain ignorant of - I absolutely get where he is coming from. Doesn't make it "right", but I definitely wouldn't vilify him for it either. As an aside, the animation, voice acting, and music are so polished, but the characters and their dialogue especially shine. I'm blown away by how well done this show is.

I love how this episode ended catch everyone off guard, after the long first episode leave us with a taste of "I want more"

yes it's okay to still be in his parent's house. especially if his mother is alone aging old lady. sometimes aging parents get lonely without the company of the children, it is really miserable. and we can see she still full a lot of energy, because she feels young to still have to take care of her son. and at least he has a good job and making a good money, (I think he's a good man who help to pay the bills) and not unemployed that wasting his parents wealth.

If you notice Ai's eyes are purple with star in each eye her children in each opposite eye have a star in them and if you combine them it makes purple. So it shows that they are 1/2 of her. If you noticed when Ai died the light in her eyes faded it was so sad.
