No matter what continuity, no matter the form, no matter how, the death of someone like Optimus will always be sad because you grow to care for that big red truck and, most importantly, he would also care for you if he were real.
There's something about the notes that feel...despairingly heartwrenching. Something about it seems...incredibly agonizing as if this death we're forced to witness is far more traumatic than just a hero's death. It's like the death of an entire group or worse... an entire civilization left to be nothing more than corpses along a war-riddled path.
@@ZFSBoss2090 There were many moments of fearlessness and daring involved, and the battle was won, but ultimately, it wasn't enough to win the war. That's how this version feels.
2:45-3:30. I love how this performance of Optimus' death uses part of the Matrix theme. It kinda makes you think that Optimus, after all he's done and been through, will be rewarded after death. And I'm saying that as an atheist, mind you. That's how strongly I love this version of Optimus.
I don't care what ANYONE says, Dion became Ultra Magnus💯 It's only fitting because Prime calls Magnus OLD FRIEND and Dion shares a similar color scheme to Magnus. Plus it makes the story that much better💯👍🏻
this is exactly what i told my son after he watched the Movie yesterday. tfwiki.net/wiki/File:BattleLines6-DionMagnum.jpg tfwiki.net/wiki/File:BattleLines6-UltraMagnus.jpg
I can see why they didn't use this version in the film. The one in the movie, while having a faster pace and a less prominent piano role, is still pretty sad, but this is a whole different level. The death of Optimus Prime was already heartbreaking to so many fans, but if this was the track that played, it would have entire theaters weeping.
Definitely sadder than the original. The synthesizer and piano sound like the kind you'd find in an old 80s children programme, they have a very innocent feeling to them, but then the progression of the notes and chords is for a sadder song. That kind of gives it an air of nostalgia, but its nostalgia for something really sad, like a death of childhood moment. And I guess thats pretty appropriate for what this song was made to do
@Danial Molina: WRONG PRIME. The OG Prime IS NOT the 13th Prime💯 You're thinking of TF Prime Optimus Prime. OG Optimus Prime is the GREATEST OF ALL OPTIMUS PRIMES!💯👍🏻
I never saw the movie in it's time In theaters. I didnt exist until 20 years after. I even knew optimus died and treated it like normal knowledge. A fact of life. And yet i still do.
When people are calling the upcoming 2022 movie Transformers 7 and we Bayverse fans know that is not Transformers 7 and the true Transformers 7 is gone forever
@@great159 Megatron pretty much died since we never see his cunning or personality again and when Galvatron went crazy, all traces of Megatron where gone at that point.
