The PRS Silver Sky- My Thoughts 

Trying to get it rolling again with everything going on, thanks for the continued support!

I only have the SE silver sky and even that is amazing, but the core is better for different reasons, I love regular strats and still do, but Mayer has really nice sounding pick ups too with the Silver Sky's @@LucasFowler

I do still own it and I use it regularly. I would say I'm more used to it now, the trick for me is using 10-46 on the Silver Sky where I would usually use a 10.5-48 on my 25" scale PRS guitars. I highly recommend the Silver Sky for strat guys and PRS guys alike.

@@LucasFowler Awesome, I just ordered a Faded Black Tee SS. Im coming from Suhr guitars with flatter radius necks. Hope the quality and craftsmanship is just as good.

Everything is relative I guess :P I usually have my action set to about .060 of an inch on the high and low e strings at the 12th fret, which is _extremely_ low. So I'm a baby about it having to be a little higher :P Thank you very much for the compliments!

@@LucasFowler .060” is a hair under 4/64”, that’s not extremely low, that’s considered medium-low action by most luthiers (so in the Medium zone), and is achievable by any electric guitar with good fretwork and at least a 9.5” radius board. Extremely low would be like 2.5/64” - 3/64” and I really don’t know how guys execute proper string bends with their action that low, but many somehow do. Remember, Gibson actually recommends 3/64” action on the treble strings at the 12th fret (5/64” for bass strings) as a general guideline, so your preference ain’t that low brother.

@@primeDecomposition Interesting! If the strings can't be bent without choking out or "meowing", I deem that action too low and unplayable :P I guess technically I gave you a number that's slightly too high as well. The exact measurement I do is with the string held down at the first fret to remove the nut from the equation, and then it's actually .050" at the 12th fret. So probably with nut clearance I gave you a slight overestimation. Also, even though PRS's are typically a 10" radius, I find I'm usually able to set my personal guitar's radius with the saddles a bit flatter, closer to 14" radius, with perfectly usable results for my hands. So it does _feel_ very low, at least to me!

My Dad greatly prefers the short frets but they mess me up!
