First thing i'd play, would probably be Blackbird by Tremonti. My favorite song ever. Then everything else, by tuning. I just love AB and Tremonti so much
Layla! I was a 14-year-old guitarist and saved my paper route tips to buy my first album, the double vinyl set in 1971. Learned from the best! Eric's riffs and Duane's awesome slide. True Inspiration that's lasted a lifetime!
You know, I'm not exactly sure but that guitar looks like I should loop something really dynamic, like "Your hand in mine" by Explosion's in the Sky. That guitar would just work for it.
First song - Distance by Wolgang Van Halen/MammithWVH His tribute to Ed and one of the first full songs I've learnt so far in a year-ish of trying to learn to play.
That guitar is built for Rick Derringer's "teenage love affair" off of 'all American boy'. I know it's not politically correct but the lick, the riff, it reminds me of your playing ( sometimes) and it also reminds me of "I'm on Fire' by Dwight Twilley. Maybe it's the charcoal maple top. Love your site, Robert !
For some reason when you first started playing, before the tapping, “Snortin’ Whiskey...” By Pat Travers popped into my head. So there you go, first riff “Snortin’ Whiskey...”
As a 90’s metal kid Creed was more of a guilty pleasure but it would seem appropriate to pay a tribute to Mark Tremonti and play “what if” for the first song lol
Swweet! Mine was Electric funeral. It’s actually easy enough as long as you can get the rhythm down. What are you playing paranoid on (guitar and amp)? If it’s not too bothersome which song are you wanting to go for next and do you know scales? For me I love rhythm and lead and in regards to learning to play lead the scale stuff has been of most benefit. The rest is up to my creation of imagination. Regardless of whether or not you reply to my buzzing of questions in your ear I just wanted to say keep Rockin’ that sh.. the snot out of it! Glad to know there are others transfixed on Sabbath just as I am as it’s thanx to them I have Doom Metal to enjoy! Joyous blessings to you and yours! ☯️
If I had a chance ( because Im not lucky enough for these things lmao ) I would play Change of seasons Carpe Diem by Dream Theater, greetings from Brazil, still working on my english :).
I just realized how many likes my comment have, even if I don't win this. im kinda happy idk.. im 15 yo and even knowing that the chances of winning this are low, Im just happy I stand a little chance, just makes me happy all the suport you guys gave me, thank you so much for the likes ( sorry about my grammar, as I said, Im still working on my english )
As a beginner I don't have many options, so it is Nirvana Come as you are or Happy birthday! :D If I get this I will try to learn something that suits this!
I wouldn’t be able to play anything. I’d probably have a stroke if I heard that I won. (Wind so Change solo as it got me into guitar in the first place)
The first thing I would play is DEFINITELY the guitar solo from Bohemian Rhapsody, because it's epic and beautiful and it makes me happy in my soul! Cheers from Memphis!
First I would probably play some old Trapeze like " You are the music " . I know most people have either forgotten about them or never heard of them but they were a great band. Very different style.
I would probably play a traditional irish dance tune The King of the Fairies. In the style of Horslips who did a great rock version in 1973. Showing my age. Just a great tune.
The first song I’d play on that rockin PRS is My sacrifice by Creed, I’ve always loved the main riff in it and it’s also the song that got me into Mark Tremonti’s playing style 😎🤘🏻
Hello Fellow Guitar Players ! I just started playing Guitar again after a 20 year hiatus, I injured my spinal cord at work when I was 36 I'm now 56, so it took 20 years and some but I am gratefully able to play again I struggle sometimes with fingers and arm on my left hand still going numb, but I missed it. It feels good again to be making music, and Guitar playing has changed so much, from LPs starting and stopping over and over until you got it right to RU-vid and the like. Wow huge advantage for younger people, take full advantage. Paul Reed Smith was NOT even a guitar company I had heard of starting out, and actually I have only my Acoustic Martin right now, so lets go PRS Give Away!!!!
