You are actually slow man. It’s a fucking mower he’s doing to job you paid him to do. I didn’t see any lawn being tore up in fact it looked quite good. Stay angry pal
I got an older toro Proline 36 pistol grip mower paid 1000 used, I got a jungle jim sulky 345$, 70$ tune up oil oilfilter etc, and a 40$ reaper blade set for it runs strong and cuts great. I love it and makes me want my next mower to be a hydro walk behind I belive its a 2014 I bought it 4 months ago
The way he said “physically push a push mower” let’s me understand better where my son comes from complaining about it .. even the pros can’t stand pushing it out 😂😂😂
Theyre not even push mowers like you know, the rear wheels are driven and you have a clutch so it pulls you. Push refers to how you turn, by pushing down(i assume, idk). At least thats what the small company i worked at had. And you were so tired after 10 hours of being pulled along that if you physically had to push it you would not survive. 40,000 steps a day is no joke, thats a lot of walking. 30-60,000 depending on the day. Its rough.
Maaaan kids these days get to use the ones with driven wheels. When I had to go cut the lawn for pocket money I had to use a piece of crap that did absolutely nothing but spin the blades 😂
@0xsergy 10 straight hours of push mowing? I have a mow route where I push mow about 8-12 hours a day along with weed eating and blowing. I average 7 minutes travel time between yards and idk man. Not that hard. Granted I'm pretty fit
34 in mower is the one of the best purchases you can make in my opinion. Like you said people will literally drop a yard just because of a gate. And I never see anyone with a deck under 52 inches very rare
Busy guys taking an annoying job is crazy to them. Why struggle when you have lots of good work? Its good work for a small company or a single person crew but a busy company cant do jobs like that.
I have a 36-inch Toro grandstand and I love it just for that reason you can get through smaller gates to do an area in their backyard oh, it can go places where my 52 or 60 in deck cannot go
Started on one of them walk behind pull start scags for public school board. The first day I spent a couple hours at shop mastering it. Did donuts in the parking lot and learned my limits on it and got super comfortable with it. Co-workers were terrified of that tool... I would occasionally take the wheels off and cut some crazy ditches with it too, which zero turn scag would get stuck. All about practice
Yeah this guy is amateur hour. Everyone knows standard fence opening in any chain link fence residential back yard for any house built since before the 80’s which is the majority in any major city is 32 inches. Not 32 inch deck but 32 inches from wheel to wheel.
Never seen one that small. It’s a game changer for exactly what you mentioned. Those small yards in town that I w stopped taking due to not wanting to run a push mower anymore!
We use this mower on my crew and it is as smooth as butter. Great for small yards and fantastic for riding around large properties with a backpack blower
I worked for a mowing service and the owner put me on a hustler zero turn and the steering was so jacked up. But i still kilt it!! Even in the darkest of places, im gonna shine bright!!
You're that cheap bastard who has fired the guy who has been taking care of the property because some neighbor kid is going to do it for less. I can spot your butchered lawn every time. It's always half assed, you saved a whopping $10-20 but now the yard is overgrown and the kid is too busy with your daughter to give a shit about grass, money , edges etc. THE dude u fired rather confirm the neighborhood rumor that you are too drunk , broke, dumb or unpleasant and uncouth to have a yard that looks nice.
I installed a 5' 6" gate to my yard just for our landscaper to fit his big mower thru ...we got an unusually big yard for our area 50x150...he was very happy not to have to cut it by his push mower n he lowered the fee by 5 bucks
Me and belt drives just don't get along period. I'll do everything to the T just like my dad but the belt always comes off or breaks when I use the dang thing.
The price isn’t steep it looks efficient. It looks extremely useful if you got a big piece of property, and I don’t own a landscaping business but I would buy it for my house, front and backyard because I can get down my side yard to my backyard and mow without ever stepping off of it.
A good example of why I bought a 4 wheel drive push mower from Lowe’s. I barely push the handle and it’ll go. But I’ll admit that turning isn’t as smooth as that stand on.
Haha I’m 14 and have a lawn care business In my small town and I run a hustler surfer pro on all my yards it’s the only ride on I have at the moment works great couldn’t do it without it .
Exactly what houses I go after…. I got a 34inch zero turn just for them. I’m not a fan of stand ups, I’d just assume push mow it, I also have a striping mower for that parquet look.
As a landscaper in the Hamptons we usually inform them it’s gonna be more expensive per cut or that their gates need to be modified… most contractors out here already know & build accordingly.
Just a trick and tip I learned from my grandfather is to never blow grass at the house cause it could stain the paint and if grass gets into and vents or fans of the home and then inside the house
My first day landscaping they threw me on the push mover had to do an entire half of an apartment complex about 35-40 small yards and had to leaf blow it all afyer i was done and boy I never wanted to quit a job so bad in my life
For residential aconts I personally prefer a walk behind. Not a push walk behind. Because it allows me to pay more attention to sprinkler heads and other debris in the lawn.
They're so tough I bet they love the extra strain on their body because of their cheap boss! I'm sure since they're so tough they won't care about their stripped knees and crippling arthritis in the future :)
It is great to have it but sometimes u can't even get in to back yard people have water ponds or they have big narrow rock landscapes or big ac units that they block the way.. but then u had to use the good old push mower 😂
When the cost new is currently over $4,800 ($103mth, 48 mths, 0%) I'd question whether you can charge so much more that owner that mower makes economic sense, as compared to just having a walk-behind and an assistant to operate it.
Something like 5k new. I got my mom a husqvarna zero turn mower for her 2 acre yard for 5k. Thats really not allot of money but its crazy how the same tool but smaller can be priced the same as a full size seated zero turn.
My personal experience is home owners with single or little gates don't have the money for a larger fence so you won't be able to charge more and retain that client for the price your business needs to grow successful
I'm a business owner as well, I just have one question about this because it might be looking good in one of our trucks. Does it come with bagging most people in our area want their lawns bagged.
Yup and if you can fill up your rout with these small yards like this and do them in 10-12 minutes each, you can do like 30-40 yards a day and be racking it in. I want a small stand on so dang bad!!
