The thing that's hurting Renters the most is people not being able to buy homes and being pushed into the Rental market. This also has the flow on effect of Australians choosing to have smaller families or not have families at all.
Amazing that he has spent his whole life suckling from the public teat, without gaining any real life work experience. Little wonder his premiership has been disasterous.
At the shops earlier, I saw a picture of Albolognese on the front page of the newspaper, sitting in first class with a drink in his hand, with what looked like a blanket over his lap. Yep, he's still doin' it tough.😂
Quantas would not have given away free flight upgrades to the added values of all the flight upgrades that were given .To the then transport minister Anthony Albanese who was at to that time charged with marking a decision on Qatar airlines application to start domestic flights within Australia creating opposition to Quantas unless something was in it for them .... Competition to Quantas would have push domestic flights prices down . The fact Anthony Albanese rejected Qatar airlines application & these flight upgrades having now come to light is a very suspicious that someone has gained something for favours in return.. The suspicion alone should be enough for a enquiry into this matter. Nothing is given for nothing on this world . Quantas have committed no crime & the CEO at that time was Allen Joice he would without Doubt know the truth behind these flight upgrades being given & why so many were offered to just one minister Anthony Albanese. . Allen Joice he as nothing to hide if he tells all ...if he offered the upgrades as a bribe it is up to Anthony Albanese to reject them ...if Anthony Albanese or his office ask for these upgrades in return for favoritism then Allen Joice commited no crime in giving them . once again it's Anthony Albanese use his power for self gain & it's he that has broken the laws of the power he held .. Am inquest enquiry is warranted & justifiable into this matter.. Allen Joice however would be advised to tell what he knows before he's force .. he's broken no law .
I think a more fundamental question is do some Labor ministers use their government position to enrich themselves and just extract as many perks as possible OR are Labor ministers aware that they have been entrusted and elected to represent the voters who have put these ministers into power and to act in the interests of Australians and not themselves. In the private sector and business law there is a concept of CEOs having to exercise fiduciary duty, that is, competently and prudently look after shareholder money in the interests of the shareholders. In the same way voters should be able to expect that politicians see tax money not as their own to use as they see fit but to spend wisely on behalf of the shareholders. It appears that the slack rules regarding the perks involving taxpayer funds, declaring this as this as fringe benefit income, avoiding conflicts of interest in the portfolios in which they operate and so on all needs to be thoroughly reviewed. Australia is not the GDR where the communist leaders had special privileges that were not available to the proletariat. It is pure socialism were some individuals think they can enrich themselves on other peoples' money without having earnt the money.
