I hear what Adrian is saying. Black culture in America can be tricky at times to evaluate. One of the main differences I see between black people in America vs black people in Africa is that African American’s value system is geared towards materialism and consumerism. I will never forget all the conversations, mostly from black students about getting the newest Jordans that I had to sit though in class going to school in America and the brands black people in America are so eager to possess such as Nike and Puma, this huge name brand market in America is not even a thing in some African countries as they have traditional dress wear.
