You may have missed in episode 9 when they were taking Ned to the Sept of Baelor Ned shouts to Yoren (nights watch recruiter) “Baelor”and tells him to help Aria… He disguises her as a boy taking her to the Wall only stopping at Winterfell to her safety

Finally, I can properly start talking about how much I love Sansa. Has she been bratty at times? Yeah, of course. She's thirteen. But I've noticed people being a lot less forgiving toward her brattiness than Arya's. Take in the first episode at dinner: Arya throws food at Sansa, all over a dress SHE made, in front of the King, Queen, and the person Sansa is supposed to be marrying. That's an incredibly bratty thing to do, but people look at that and find it endearing. Both Sansa and Arya can be bratty, because they are children. Sansa has been raised to believe in stories of handsome knights and sweet princes, that all she should want is to be a wife and mother. And a lot of people judge her very harshly for wanting these things that she has been taught to want. Her and Ned are actually quite similar in that way: they believe in honor and goodness, and do not easily fathom the idea that someone would act in a dishonorable way, because why would anyone do that? Arya in contrast is a lot more like Catelyn in personality: sharp tongued and a bit reckless, as well as quite fierce. All of which is to say, I love both characters. But Sansa in particular has always been so interesting to me. She's a bit like if a stereotypical Disney princess were trapped in a horror story. When all she has been taught is how to be a proper Lady, how can she survive in a world that does not hold true to any of these things she has been taught? When you're the pawn on the chessboard, can you do anything once you've realized how dangerous your place is? The answer, of course, is quite uncertain, and for me it is a fascinating thing to watch/read.

Just FYI, the road from King's Landing to the Wall goes right through Winterfell. :) The plan is for Arya to be Arry the orphan boy until they get to Winterfell, and she'll be safe there. I think Joffrey has all the symptoms (most of which are shown in the show, but some are book-only) of a conduct disorder, which I understand is the precursor to psychopathy (Joffrey's, like, 13 in the books, so he's way too young to diagnose with antisocial personality disorder, or anything). But yeah... he enjoys tormenting people. He enjoys the sense of power it gives him. :/ Before becoming king, he enjoyed tormenting animals, and tormenting his younger siblings. Sansa is made of different stuff than Arya. She had an impulsive moment when Joffrey had just showed her Ned's head, but for the most part, Sansa is more of a survivor than a warrior. Joffrey could make her look at Ned's head, but he couldn't make her see it. Those were her exact thoughts in the book, as she asked how long she had to look.

Dorreah tells Dany that she heard in qarth that one day the moon wandered too close to the sun then it cracked and a thousand thousand dragons poured forth. Dany calls drogo my sun and stars, drogo calls Dany moon of my life. Drogos pyre resembles a solar system with drogo (the sun) in the center. Dany (the moon) "wanders" into the center where drogo is and afterwards the fire is gone and danys dragons are born. Martin is an incredible writer and this was 100% done on purpose.

Well, if you wanted to see blood to be sure, the show was just like "I got you fam" from the very first scene.

Book Facts:(as I will do this every episode whether its seen or not)No spoilers) Ah yes, the dreams. Sadly, they made them a thing of only Bran(in the books, all of the children start having similar ones).Show ignores it after a bit for the rest. The message comes to the kids when they're in the Maesters tower listening to a story about the Children of the Forest(a race that existed in Westeros before men, basically the fair folk and carved the faces into those trees in the Godswood that the Northmen pray to). The raven that delivers messages is injured, having blood from being attacked by a hawk. The singer Marillion(who is the one who rode with Catelyn to the Eyrie)actually had a larger part in the books and remained as a singer for Lady Lysa Arryn rather than leave and became a favorite of hers, but they amalgamated him with another singer who Joffrey allows to choose his tongue or his hands to be removed in the book. Joffreys promise of being merciful was that he would have had him tortured before beheading him. Jack Gleason(the actor)does an amazing job of having us hate him. I especially love his reaction to Sansa asking how long she has to look(in the books, she "goes away inside"and pretends the heads don't look like her father or Septa Mordane and because of her lack of reaction, Joffrey gets all pouty. Yes, you hate Joffrey NOW. But watch more of the show and get to know him and you'll actually realize he's the fucking worst and will only get worse. 9:40 (Puppet glancing away meme) 9:44 They're not trying to make a play for the Iron Throne. The North(and pretty much every one of the seven kingdoms)was an independent realm before Aegon Targaryen(Daenerys's ancestor)and his sisters came with three dragons and conquered it all, making it one(well, except for one of them that took a while). The North just wants to be independent again. The confession from Jaime is one of my favorite lines in the books(though came from the second one). Catelyn asks "You meant for him to die?" and Jaime answers "I seldom push children from tower windows to improve their health. Yes, I meant for him to die." 11:36 Yes, she is. Some people say that he looks a little like Jaime, so since he's away, Cersei tries to handle her being apart from her brother with his presence. 12:50 Book explains from Tyrions' POV that Tyrion realizes after this line that Tywin has already given Jaime up for dead, which disgusts him to no end. For the Dany section, Dany had a fever dream of her son Rhaego as a copper skinned Dothraki with silver hair and violet eyes and conquering the world, but sees him burn away. It was a mix of returning to the tent and it being a sacrifice to return Drogo with blood magic and Mirri even states that Dany knew that was the sacrifice and Dany admits it to herself(though she expected that Drogo would be the same). IMO, Dany wanted to save Drogo because she didn't want to lose his army and needed his strength, though she did love him. Drogo is not only catatonic, he's said to only move where lead, eating and drinking when fed and being totally blind. Okay, I'm going to be hated for this, but I actually see what Mirri(the Midwife)is going for and I think it's completely fair what she did and her reasoning. I still feel that Dany is too much of a surprised Pikachu. All of this is because she demanded the Iron Throne. When Dany burns, her hair burns away as well and it takes some time for it to grow back. However, its a one time power of hers, not something permanent(remember that). The dragons are nursing at her breasts when Jorah and the rest find her, which is part of why she's called Mother of Dragons. And thats it for this one and this season! Looking forward for the next reactions!

And here's a little more context for the Tyrion/Tywin scene, since the show doesn't portray it perfectly I don't think: "Lord Tywin rose abruptly. "You are my son." That was when he knew. _You have given him up for lost,_ he thought. _You bloody bastard, you think Jaime's good as dead, so I'm all you have left._ Tyrion wanted to slap him, to spit in his face, to draw his dagger and cut the heart out of him and see if it was made of old hard gold, the way the smallfolks said. Yet he sat there, silent and still." Will you be watching season 1's histories and lore video before season 2?

Daenerys looked into her khalasar's eyes and understood that they belonged to her, they were hers more than they had ever been Drogo's, and after hundreds of years, the night came alive with the music of the Dragons. Tyrion is not happy, he knows his father said; You are my son... because he fears that Jaime will not survive, they omitted him in the series

Joffrey is taking care of the quality of poetry in the capital. His reign will be one of cultural elevation. The dragons are as big as chickens. Maybe he'll be the one who eats them. The only question is: how does one cook a dragon?

In one of the early episodes they were talking about house words (like "Winter is coming" for the Starks). I don't know if they ever mention the Targaryen words but those are "Fire and Blood".
