Unbelievably helpful!! I was able to update Open Core and upgrade to macOS Ventura from Big Sur. Amazing. The only issue I have is Bluetooth. But I can work through that. It appears it is a Ventura issue. Thank you Thank you Thank you!!!! Also, I updated my USB boot disk and tested that it works to install Ventura. Much appreciated..

This is a nice tutorial but the problem is I don't have internet connection, my hackintosh doesn't have WiFi option and the ethernet via rj port isn't available. Anyway to update it without connecting to the internet?

@@Pandorasboxtech thanks your reply thank your reply ... i mean... after your method... can't recognize new version opencore in hackintool or opencore configrator.. i run hackintool -> pop up "you need update opencore" message box
@Pandorasboxtech
@Pandorasboxtech Год назад
@@9kurenai Just to check, did you: A. run 'Get OpenCore' with most recent version selected from the drop-down list (Choose OpenCore version), B. run 'Start Sync', C. most importantly, did you SAVE your config.plist before closing OCAT ?

Question: after I do the update to Opencore, how do I then upgrade to Monterey? I have a disk for Mojave and Catalina and a new SSD for Monterey.
@Pandorasboxtech
@Pandorasboxtech Год назад
Hi, it depends what version of macOS you have installed. But, the easiest way to update is via System Preferences > Software Update.
@paulstarybrat781
@paulstarybrat781 Год назад
@@Pandorasboxtech Using a previous version of OpenCore, I have my 5,1 machine running Mojave and Catalina. Using the software update tells me I can update to Ventura, which is not what I want to do.
@Pandorasboxtech
@Pandorasboxtech Год назад
@@paulstarybrat781 by 'previous' do you mean a v6.x, v7.x or 8.5? Did you create the SSD as a Monterey bootable installer? (See my videos for MIST and TINU on how to) If so, copy your Hackintosh's EFI folder to the EFI of the SSD, it should then be available to boot from (either from you motherboards Bios of the Bootloader Options. But, always perform a BACKUP of your working system before doing any updates/upgrades - See my video here for how > ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-jKhiO0J0Xlc.html

@@Pandorasboxtech OC 0.6.4 and then upgraded to the latest OC using the video you made. It would probably be unwise for me to even attempt to upgrade my OS to Monterey until I know what kexts should be 'true' or 'false'
@Pandorasboxtech
@Pandorasboxtech Год назад
@@paulstarybrat781 Ahhh yes, the problem is that you are trying to update from 0.6.4. OC has had a few file system/structure changes over time, especially when going from 6.x to 7.x. So I would update in baby steps from the different versions 6.x, through to 8.x. Did you backup your OC system prior to trying to update?
