Hey Luke, just reading some old post on the Spartan... I have a New one in the box, for several years. Did you ever get a Octura Prop, if so which one and how did it perform ? I will be using 6S batteries.... any advise is appreciated. THANKS
NICE BOAT!!! and nice video too, I wish I could do that flip you did...I got one last week and it is so much fun, its FAST!! as hell, I also got the new water jacket and some bigger plastic props (i hate balancing and sharpening metal props) and it is faster than with the stock prop, and is very stable haven't flip it yet, and I haven't had any heating issues with the ESC or motor, i fully recomend it...
Awesome! Glad to hear that man. You should get and Octura x645 prop from funrcboats.com. I just put mine in today and it works amazing. Super smooth acceleration and much higher top end with less rooster tail.
Luke I recently ran an Octura M445 on my Proboat Impulse 31. It might work well on your Spartan and Blackjack. When I get time to try it on my Blackjack I'll let you know how it does. Just giving my Impulse one second bursts (short lake) it ran 40 mph on 6S and otherwise stock.
I have a Traxxas Spartan I was just wondering if there should be a little brass tube inside the drive strut because my flex shaft broke and I got a traxxas one and the little brass tube does not go over it and there is play inside the drive strut because that little brass tube is not in it so I was just wondering if I need it in or not
I am looking for a Christmas gift for my self I am looking at this boat or a gaming console I like RC planes helis/multirotors and rc cars and boats.And I have been interested in this boat for a little while and the shockwave 26" from Proboat and i saw you recommended the Blackjack 29" to some one else what do you think about the three boats.
Andy Black I would stay away from the shockwave. The Spartan is much faster than the Blackjack out of the box but the blackjack is a better built boat. If I was only able to have one it would be the Blackjack simply because of the quality fiberglass construction and upgradeability.
What happens when it flips over? Does it have a feature where it will flip back? Im about to buy this boat, i just want to be sure. Also, is there any indicator when your battery is getting low?
What is the ebay page where u can buy the upgrade kit... ive heard so much about over heating the electronics. I am buying one and I don't want to over heat it, and squeeze every ounce of performance out of it. If you could give me some links of products that will make it go the 110 percent that would be great. keep up the great videos
Hey Luke! I’m wanting this boat and I want to do the dual water pickup and new cooling jacket for the motor on two 11.1v 3s 8400 mah 25C batteries. But I’ve heard a lot of bad things about This boat on 6s which makes me very hesitant to buy it. What are your thoughts on this?
As long as U have the dual rudder water lines mate you will have no regrets I have one I bought myn brand new new 4 yrs ago did the water cooling mods and prop mods does way over 100klms PHR as long as U have plenty of cooling you will not regret it they r cool fun and fast as fast
@@Shoeboxcat7 they are all hand built wood kits provided by Blazer Marine via laser cut wood sheets, the model is their Backlash, and powered by a modded 30cc Zenoah engine. One of my boats was clocked in a straight line time trial over 120+ mph average speed.
Theres better value boats on the market where you dont need a heap of hop ups to go fast or in the spartans case, to stop it from leaking or overheating!
