It's a brilliant story but I have to agree that it is incredible.

On the shloshim of the Rebbe’s death in 1994 I attended an event commemorating this at Congregation Beth Sholom Chabad in Mineola, NY. One of the speakers was Rabbi Moshe Portnoy OBM, of the Young Israel of Plainview, NY , who related a story that, as he put it, “for the Rebbe time did not exist as we know it “ This video is still another example of how true that was - past, present, and future were accessible to him in a manner that we lesser people cannot know

This is one of those stories that illustrates why people believed the Rebbe was Moshiach of the time. He had knowledge/wisdom that was/is not available to us.

Isn't there a part missing from the story? The rabbi was supposed to bring a menorah with him? I have heard a similar story if this one wasn't the one with bring the menorah. Beautiful, regardless. Thank you for sharing!
