At this point anyone is better than khan. Yes, Susan isn’t perfect, but khan is far less than perfect. He’s pretty much been a failure as far as London is concerned

Boris was the last Tory mayor, and he shifted well to the left to get elected. Introduced Ulez, built a network of bike lanes and praised the EU at every opportunity. (yes really)...Hall has none of the political nous that Boris had in spades. Kahn will with a greater share of the vote than at the last mayoral election which he won by a landslide. i am willing to come back here after the election and ear humble pie if any of that turns out to be wrong. Susan Hall isn\t as well known as Boris, but she is famous for lying about her purse being stolen on the underground. What a wally.

@@zivkovicable I think Khan will win also, but last election it was closed once second preference votes were counted. Shaun Bailey came a close second. The Tories apparently changed the election rules so there's only one vote for one candidate and first past the post like the election of MPs. It's going to be difficult for Tories to win at the GE2024 and Susan Hall is less well than Shaun Bailey let alone Boris Johnson. After the pandemic Ulez in outer London had to be brought in due to the large TfL deficit and central govt put in a few billions so the Tube network didn't go under. Labour wins for London, Manchester and in the general election seems likely. Starmer has done many U turns, let's see if he can sort out economic growth and reduce immigration. The Mayor election is in 3 weeks time, not next week.

She has a 5% chance, but it can happen and today was last day to register to vote. If there was a bigger name Vs Khan, there'd be a greater chance of winning. Khan will bring in pay per mile road pricing. It might happen in other cities also. We need cars, vans and lorries, but the powerful don't want cars on our streets. Congestion charge, now Ulez all over London is bringing in revenue, but people need to see better roads, housing, policing, council services,etc. Labour will need to increase money they give councils throughout the UK, Tories cut too much.
