When Barrack ran in 2008 i was over joyed because the words "the content of your charactor, not the color of your skin" in which i revere the man whom spoke them had come to to present. I felt the same way when I heard that President Biden was stepping down. I walked around in a state of shock the whole day. I cried, I cursed the party that I have been part of my entire voting life and wondered how so many could turn on my hero. I’m 77 yrs old, white and I couldn’t be more thrilled that Kamala is ascending to the Presidency (I hope). I beat my head on that glass ceiling for years. At work, I was a single mother who succeeded in acting as though my kids didn’t pull on me (when they obviously did). I lived through the agonies of having a sick child on a work morning. I lived through missing all their school plays, athletic meets, teacher meetings. I lived pre-Roe and watched as girls I knew died trying to have an abortion. Joe Biden’s generation is mine. We have a lot of experience and time put in. I loved Joe Biden as President. It’s time for new, young blood. It’s time for them to guide their own future.
