I love the scene right after Charlie pulls Nick inside when Charlie's mom interrupts them and then says "you could have at least changed out of your pajamas". The way Nick looks Charlie up and down and smiles and then catches himself when he realizes Charlie's watching him. I can't, it's so cute!!!!! 😭
Kit definitely shines in the show and he's very deserving of all the attention he's getting. I'm sure he'll make it big soon. But when I read that this was Joe's first proper acting gig, I was shocked. He is incredible, and to think he doesn't have any experience? Yet he's already portraying a main character, that is also so complex? Both of them better be the next Tom Holland.
I just love the communication in this show. It's so refreshing to see characters actually talk to each other rather than misunderstandings. Nick was clear that he likes Charlie, and he wanted to kiss him, but that he just needs time to figure out his sexuality.
I couldn't stop laughing at the part where the girl is like "I'm not homophobic...I'm an ally!" "Uh..congratulations..." "Thank you for your service!?" lol The "Thank you for your service" did me in!
Ben really did a number on Charlie, that plus his already existing insecurities, he's constantly second guessing himself, apologising for doing something wrong where he did nothing wrong...
I will blame this show for skyrocketing my already inflated standards for relationships. Those two are just too perfect and embody the most wholesome and healthy relationship I think I´ve ever seen on TV.
I don't blame Imogen, but in general I don't like people asking someone out in front of so many people (same thing for proposals), because it's gonna influence the other person to give an honest answer, it puts pressure on that person that shouldn't be there for questions like that. That's just how I feel about these things in general. Loved the scene in Charlies room and in the rain a lot though.
Seeing nick and Imogen at the end broke my heart. It took me right back to the peer pressure filled days of school, and I felt so bad for the pair of them, they both didn't deserve that 🥺

He's also straight. but a massive massive ally and has been for YEARS here on youtube...whereas a lot of ppl who end up crying from joy or bittersweetness, from what I've seen, are in the LGBTQ+ community...so it hits slightly closer to home for a lot of reacters. He's got the seperation of already seeing himself representated in romances and stuff...whereas LGBTQ+ have not had content exactly like this...ever. Not to say he hasn't teared up when watching LGBTQ+ content...I think Skam made him misty eyed, IIRC. But yeah...that might be why he is having pretty much only joy and happiness and no tears...idk.

You can see Nick’s guilt knowing what Charlie went through with Ben while keeping them a ‘secret’. But Charlie knows Nick needs time - and is willing to let Charlie help him. They are just perfect.

3:50 the umbrella was matching their shirts. The color blue represents Nick and yellow represents Charlie and you can see those 2 colors everywhere in this series: their rooms color, the umbrella, Charlie's luch box, the school walls, the luch tables etc..
And that's why we don't ask out/propose to people in public unless we're 100% sure they're gonna say yes. Because you're either getting rejected publicly, which sucks for everyone involved, _or_ like Nick they feel awkwardly pressured into saying yes because they don't wanna be an asshole (and deliver the humiliation you set yourself up for) and then have to somehow find a way to break it off, after however long a time of stringing you along. Which also sucks for everyone involved. Just don't do it.
Just look at Nick's reaction at 2:17 when Charlie says he is sorry. He was not expecting Charlie to apologise for kissing him and he was a bit shocked that he felt Charlie would have to think of saying sorry. You can see it in the eyes of Nick.
people might think that Charlie's stand towards the whole situation, the self-deprecating tendencies and guiltiness, is weird and uncalled for, but for a lot of us somehow we ended up thinking it is our fault to get carried away or even fall for a person, can't explain how but it happened to me a lot, the difference is that most of us did not have a Nick or a support system like Charlie does. I am glad that today's generations are able to live life differently.
Given the bullying he went through, the bs with the douche canoe that is Ben, and to a somewhat lesser extent the difficulty with his mother who can be rather... intense and kind of controlling (this is more evident in the novels, but you can see shades of it in the TV series and it's only just started), nobody has a leg to stand on if they think Charlie's mental health issues aren't perfectly understandable. As far I'm aware, all us HS fans are on the Charlie Spring Protection Squad. 🤗🥰 That boy deserves it! And so does anyone who's gone through similar. My own history isn't quite his, but I definitely have reasons for my own mental issues, so I hear you! We're valid, fam.

There are two seats in front of them, yeah...that is actually comic book accurate, IIRC. They had the whole table to themselves and those seats weren't filled in the comic. Other students in that class absolutely turned and looked at them while they interact...but keep their mouth shut. Lmao. So... they don't go unnoticed by the other students in the room.

Love your reaction videos of Heartstopper. Among the best I’ve seen and I’ve watched a bunch. I’ve told my friend in Manchester England that I want to meet him in Kent and we do a pilgrimage to all the shooting locations of Heartstopper. I’m praying Netflix picks it up for season 2 and if it doesn’t maybe Disney will swoop in to save the day. Netflix has been noncommittal at this point. They are having subscriber issues while Disney picked up 9 million new subscribers in the last quarter according to the shareholders meeting this week.
This show is as much about mental health as it is relationships. If you can get your hand on the published comics by Alice Oseman, I highly recommend it. Alice admitted they tweaked Charlie somewhat from the comics to the tv version. The bullying as well as Ben caused a lot of Charlie’s insecurities. Charlie had been verbally abused so much after coming out that he really thought at any moment Nick was going to convert back to his “bro dude” phase as Tao put it. The graphic novel alludes to it that Charlie is suicidal. The show broached this subject delicately when Tao says Charlie thinks his mere existence annoys some people and they’d be better off of he didn’t exist. Nick squelched those feelings but as the show does in this “Charlie’s evil thoughts” montages that Nick really didn’t like him as much as he wanted to believe. Also, many people miss the seagulls at the end of episode 1 when Nick is smiling after Charlie texted him Thanks X. Those seagulls are a foretelling of things to come 😎😎
To the cast and crew of Heartstopper, Let me introduce you to my heartstopper Jay. I first see jay a few years ago via a react compilation to game of thrones, there would be 30 faces all reacting to the same series and episode. He just shone like a bright light amongst the rest of the reacting people, The search started for his youtube and after a while i found him. Never knowing as straight or gay i just followed, as he always made it skip a beat. After GOT i didnt follow any of the shows he watched, but i was def watching him. I found heartstoppers recently, and after binging for 2 days solid , so yes (4 times) i again searched for reaction. After putting heartstopper reactions and changing to last hour as following close, all of a sudden it appeared. My jay My heartstopper, and trust me it skipped more then 1 beat. My mind started to race thinking is he, is my heartstopper poss gay or bi, at first i was scared to watch his reaction, as i didnt want my bubble burst. but after watching him again for 2 mins i was sitting there and the beats were racing hard at this point. Tears started falling and those eyes just kept hitting that heart. Im looking forward to the last 4 reaction videos from my jay, but il keep the rest to myself for now. you said in this series that angles tears were falling, I find it hard even thou out, approaching others and over the years have been more withdrawn from going out. The series has changed me in some way, so being braver today writing this, this is for my jay. Now about those angle tears and how you make me feel. kit and joe who played nick and charlie is a very good acters they have a speical bond between them and they got very strong friendship and there love for each other are so real their passion is so beautiful and they got very strong friendship i love them so much they support each other and beening there for each other its so magic and lovely to watch and there chemistry is strong and they ment to be together and every time when they see each other u can see the glow in there eyes and they so happy to see each other and i love the rain sean its was so magical and nice i love when nick kiss charlie and and he stand on tip toes its so nice to see if u rember in frist episode charlie said he want sameone taler well he has it and also i love how nick tell charlie how he feeling and charlie hug him so speical and u can tell that charile will be there to help him though it. did anyone pick up when charlie run to nick and kiss him and then run off can u see sun flare across nick face.
