Hmmm this iceberg could be better. There's little interesting things at the bottom. You should add things like Polish Map, Old OP Icons (The ones that looks like patches), Scrapped Callsigns (Dazzler, Caltrop, Scout, Jordan), Unreleased Guns (POF-9 was one of them, AR-57), Special Unique Animations (Wind Bastion menu interaction, Osa to Solis having special idle animations, Doc and Lion too, why Hibana and Cav didn't get them too), Alpha Closed Shields, Nokk's Weird Icon, Leaked OPs that didn't Came to the Game, Maestro's Alda Hipfire Mechanic, Old Twitch Model Confusion (Twitch players got TK a lot cuz she looked like Doc and Rook models)

You forgot about Zofia’s dad. What the gist with his suspicious death? Also Nokk identity? Iceberg would’ve been better if it was more lore related…

I started playing Siege during year 1 Operation Dust Line. I miss that game… But I know that today the game is more balanced and fair.

My personal entry would be the Ghost Recon Wildlands crossover with Siege. Cav, Twitch, and Valkyrie made their cameo there. There's also another crossover in Ghost Recon Breakpoint but with Finka, Thatcher, and Ash instead. Although only 3 of the Siege ops were in the story missions, there are skins for purchase of other Siege ops like Mira, Nökk, Mozzie, etc.

Another interesting part with the Pulse / Hibana thing is that in the R6: Extraction 'timeline' they are still together and I'm fairly certain it mentions them having a child. Also that Nighthaven pretty much doesn't exist in this game given they didn't have an important role when they were making this game and aren't related to its events.

Not only Nighthaven ops had new default skins, it was mostly all of them since Phantom Sight or Ember Rise

"Ubisoft has sworn to only make this on the China version of the game and not do this on the main build." This should be on the bottom tier because of how controversial this was. They have stealth censored the game, slowly but surely, ever since they made that statement. Tencent, a Chinese multinational technology and entertainment conglomerate and holding company, acquired a 49.9% economic stake with 5% voting rights in Guillemot Brothers Limited, the holding company of Ubisoft’s founders. Since the acquisition, there have been many instances of stealth censorship such as… -Removed death icons to an X -Removed the knife icon after getting melee kill -Reworked both Theme Park and Favela, and renamed all the rooms related to drugs. -Removed environmental blood splatters, gambling machines, and even on Clubhouse covered the skulls with a flag or dirt -Caveira’s headgear's after that got their skull removed from their badge in model/no skull face paint -Favela's neon stripper got removed/pin up poster removed -Removed Cav's knife, so it's just an invisible hand when she interrogates -Terrorist Hunt's name was changed to Training Grounds -Weed room was removed with the Favela rework -Coastline's remake doesn't have the cocaine on desks anymore -Cav's gloves no longer have blood There are other examples, and I'm sure if you looked really hard you'd find a ton more. I know most of the examples are from Favela and Caviera mainly, but that's because the map and operator are apparently too explicit for China and require immense amounts of censorship according to Ubisoft. The community raged in forums and other platforms, and Ubisoft did a 180 and reversed their stance on censoring the game. They promised the community things wouldn't change. One of their former community managers on Reddit called u/UbiNoty commented on a post about the censorship saying this… "To help allay some concerns about the changes and the future. Moving forward, we do recognize and understand that for some elements, it is not possible to have a completely global build. Thus, there will be some things that are split build-wise. While our goal is to maintain as close a parallel as possible between builds, we will also not compromise the core integrity of the gameplay and mechanics as they exist currently. Edit: For additional clarification, this branched build will be region locked, and will not have access to the worldwide data centers to engage with our existing player base - furthermore, VPNs will not function as a workaround." The comment has exactly, 7471 dislikes. Regardless, the comment confirmed 2 different builds. A Main build and a Chinese build with its own region locked servers. Why is Ubisoft censoring the main build when China has its own build? Another example (Even though it's a stretch) is R6: Extraction. A game that has you fighting parasitic aliens. Originally, it was infected humans that you fought against, including a few evolved humanoid versions like the Wizard, Tank, & Rooter. During its development, it was all changed to humanoid aliens. R6: Extraction is a weird case though because of how it aligned with the 2020 Pandemic, so the changes to that one are understandable, like the title change from Parasite to Extraction, Quarantine, & others. Connected to the Outbreak event there's the timeline where Jager dies when the players fail to save him. One of many Operators to have some kind of near death experience.

Ik this is like 2 weeks old, but I think u shouldve put the fact that both Zofia and Ela had a special ability when they were downed. Zof could withstand and Ela could activate a Grzmot mine that was on her.

Seeing that Jager with the shield face brought back some bad memories I thought I forgot.

They also teased about patriots in operation archangel GR wildlands where Nomad (Anthony Perryman) asks twich about operation patriot where she replies that that was classified and wonders how nomad knew that !

I know this is a small detail but I prefer the older logos with faceless solders fighting terrorists, because that’s what team rainbow is, not some Olympic sport

What about the lore being cavs boots make her way more silent from what nokk said in her bio, or how every attacker op has the nano tech bugs in their blood as that's how finka boosts their health lol

Don't forget about the Blitz glitch where you could hip fire through the shield with 100% crosshair accuracy, this one was wild

Could've at least fit in the Clash glitch which Ubisoft had to disable her several times.

Somewhere on the second or maybe even the third level of the iceberg should be the Rainbow 6 collab with Arknights. It was around early 2021 overseas and mid/late 2021 in the US. It featured 6 Operators (Ash, Blitz, Frost, Tachanka, Ela, Iana) but the first 4 are the main characters. They were sent to the world of the Mobile game Arknights after a scientist they were tracking down and cornered activated a device that contained material from Arknights' world. Big boom and wormhole later, they can no longer be reached by Iana and Ela on earth. From then on it's tracking down the Scientist and being picked up and recruited by the player's faction of Arknights Rhode Island. This also is where those anime shirts you saw in Ubi's webstore in previous videos came from. Both in gameplay and lore the Siege Operators are very strong as in Arknights there is no such thing as gunpowder or "unpowered" firearms everything is powered by the same material that Scientist got his hands on.

I miss the old operator patches, and the old lighting/ graphics

to add to the invisible iq portion, on top of disabling iq when, the devs also disabled claymores (which was the sole reason how players were able to achieve the desync) which made nomad a must pick for attacking teams unless they want to run the risk of getting run out on (iirc the detetion system hadn't been reworked yet so defenders still had 3 secs for runouts before detection).

One thing i never understood, how do some defenders work in attack scenarios, like rainbow is counter terrorism, how would old tachanka, frost and kapkan work?

I hope to see more lore ones in the next one and i expected to see the old hibana face model with valk too and what about the fact that they changed the voice actors for both tachanka and iq etc.. there is so much to talk about
