/ thebeastrodriguez / beastrodriguez Instrumental credit goes to this awesome gentleman: • The Rains Of Castamere... I don't know when to let go of a song.
Blazara RU-vid is so full of people who "would have done at least better" and still the guy/woman/group/animal they're talking about keeps doing his "shit" as you say, while they keep judging...so please enjoy or not and shut your talented mouth.
boulbiguts Back off a little, the only thing he said was that he can reach notes as low as the singer in the video, not that he could do it better than him or anything. Blazara I feel you. I'm a bass baritone - not enough for a real bass (I struggle with the lowest notes of Rains of Castamere, for example), but not high enough to sing tenor either. It's good for most pop songs, but I hate those.
1:03 I imagine a bunch of monks walking down a dimly lit cathedral at Tywin's funeral. Singing it tragically, but also captivating the powerful impact he had on Westeros.
Sorry for super late reply but I've always been a big fan of Gregorian Chants and that's what I had in mind when I did this part, it was very out of the blue and I never imagined this video would get the views it did, thank you
And who are you, the proud lord said, that I must bow so low? Only a cat of a different coat, that's all the truth I know. In a coat of gold or a coat of red, a lion still has claws, And mine are long and sharp, my lord, as long and sharp as yours. And so he spoke, and so he spoke, that Lord of Castamere, But now the rains weep o'er his hall, with no one there to hear. Yes now the rains weep o'er his hall, and not a soul to hear.
If a lion could speak, that's what he'd sound like. Perfect voice for this song, without a doubt. The Lannisters would definitely send their better regards
Respect to all the female covers, but truly: this song should only be sung by men with powerful deep voices. Nothing else really captures the menace and cruel truths in the lyrics.
+Mr33500 I agree with Philip - but no, that's not a "manly voice". I love Sigur Rós version, though. Their intro is so good. "Castamere... Castamere..."
+Mr33500 Also, you say The National's version is "more fitting". More fitting to Lord Tywin, yes, but not more fitting to the tragedy of Lord Reyne, which is whom the song is about.
Best cover on RU-vid, in my opinion. Your cover captured perfectly the spirit of the original, while the other covers are too "light", not "dark" and nebulous enough, they doesn't make me feel like the original does.
Perfect rendition of the "Rains Of Castamere". Seriously just can't get better than this. The amazing voice superbly complements the tunes to create a telling eerie effect required for this song. Even Lord Tywin Lannister will have goosebumps listening to this version of his victory song
By far, the best version of this song out there. This should have played in the closing credits of the show instead of the version that played. So much darker and much better vocals. Well done man, surprised the hell out of me!
I would personally destroy an entire city by hand without the slightest hesitation if it would help me get this voice. Previously I considered the voice of Sovereign from Mass Effect to be the most epic voice in existence, but even Sovereign would tremble in fear if he heard the voice of Juan the Beast.
I would give you my voice if I could pick which city you destroyed and it'll always be CLeveland ! Thank you for your kind words Lord Saruman it is an honor to entertain you \m/
My sister who is crazily obsessed with Game of Thrones said that this is now her favorite version after I showed her this video. Your voice is incredible dude!
really, it is just amazing! your voice...it is really wonderful. I can't stop listening this song at your video. And Tywin Lanniser in the end...i really like it!
You mean Aquaman? If his movie is shit ima make fun of him till he leaves his acting career. Then returns years later or goes onto a different path in life.
blazejecar I have never tested it to the limit and definitely not with a pro who'd tell me numbers but here on this song and the Hobbit cover I reach some of the lowest on this channel and the end of Trooper and Mr. Crowley /Rains of Castamere (metal)covers also on this channel have my highest notes so whatever lies in between is my guess. If I was a teacher I'd say 1000 octaves.
Juan The Beast ah, I see :P I usually just use a piano or guitar and try to hit the notes I press... the songs you mentioned give you an almost 4 octave range which is really good. Though it's true that range is unimportant if you don't have good technique or voice to back it up, I mean, I have a wide range myself but my voice is about as pleasant as a moose anally violated with a cactus, hence the reason why I never dared to upload any singing XD You, on the other hand have an epic voice to go with it, that would turn singing a phonebook into the most epic thing ever. You're an inspiration to me, man :D I wish I had your voice XD
As I sit in the corner of the tavern with a flagon of mead in my hands, listening to the warrior bard sing his sorrowful lament of his late lord, I also reflect upon my past adventures and lost comrades..........Great brilliant cover mate!!!!
Simply the best cover. His voice is not whiny or high pitched like the other covers on youtube. This voice relates to the real tone of the song..it is menacing in a strange Lannisterish way as it should be...a deep voice. Already on my 3rd replay in a row. And thanks for this cover. ✌
I absolutely love your voice for the song! It captures so much emotion just from one particular piece and it reflects so well the situation of that scene. Bravo!
Juan, I love this recording! Your voice harmonizes so well with itself. It's rare for music to give me goose bumps but your rendition had chills going from the top of my head to my toes. Good stuff.
I cant imagine how epic a duet between a Bass male vocal like Mr Juan and Soprano like Miss Evancho for Rains of Castamere would sound like ;with a powerfull orchestra. Wonderfull performance and deep voice.Perfect match for the theme.Congratulations.
Dude... I can see you put a lot of work in this but more importanly you like what you do to so much passion in it. I don't know you but you got my respect. Great Job.
I was hearing several versions of rain of castamere, and suddenly started this video and gave the chills as soon as it started. kudos. It is a great version.
In last you put charles dance aka tywin lannister picture is so good I got goosebumps at that time And some really good memories pf game of thrones like well they are infinite
I know that i'm just one more upvote in this sea o likes that ou have here..but man... you deserve it!! Way to go, Monstruous voice that you have there! Best version ever!
