I still remember watching the AJ vs Parker fight. AJ just kept running, and hugging every time Parker got close. Ref helped AJ by not allowing Parker to throw while on the inside.

Parker has got a very good resume in my opinion. Although he hasn't beaten them all you certainly can't accuse him of ducking anyone.....he's fought Ruiz, Fa, H Fury, Whyte, Joshua, Chisora, Joyce, Wilder and Zhang!

Proper underrated. Because he’s a good decent humble thoughtful man. But he has lacked killer instinct cos he’s just too nice. However he is fully coming into his prime and is finding his killer instinct. Plus he’s funny, his dillian call-out recently was magnificent 😂😂

It shows the importance of consitency, 4 fights in a year and he beats Wilder and then 5 fights in just over a year and beats Zhang. Same with AJ 4 fights in a year and back to being the next in line for the winner of Usyk vs Fury. We are missing the consistency of fighters of the past, when you go back to the 1930s 6 months with no fights was considered retired, James Braddock only had a 9 month break and that was huge deal that he stepped back in the ring.

Whyte got Parker with a bad headbutt early on in their fight if you remember, I think that had a big factor in it. When AJ fought Parker, he stayed on the outside for the majority of the fight, similar to how he fought Ruiz the second time, think it might have been a different result if AJ engaged in the fight more 🥊

I think the reason for his resurgence is quite obvious. He's been active, he's willing to fight multiple times in a year (which used to be the norm) and he's winning, can't do anything but help his confidence. He deserves to be in the shout in my opinion

Faiga & Simon are not even top 50 fighters. That wilder is just not the same anymore enough said. And he kissed canvas a few times in his win with Zhilei. A rematch would answer a lot of questions. I know you think Parker is mustard fair enough but let’s say he gets knocked out which isn’t remotely out of the question in said rematch. I don’t think he’s so concretely a shoe in for top 4. He’s still got skeletons in his closet and beating the worst version of those two big hitters doesn’t clean them out. Luckily he has age on his side, I agree with you there. Really admire Parker's rejuvenation and talent. He's also a guy who's always respectful and I like the guy. But I find his Take That and Ed Sheeran thing to be cringe. The elephant in the room is Joe Joyce ..it's ok to talk about Whyte or AJ and I get that, it's high profile it's lucrative etc. But the nature of his defeat was compelling. So before you go for Whyte or AJ why not avenge the defeat? I get it, if it was a close defeat but he could smashed. Therefore, the onus should be to avenge the defeat. I understand if he was in line for a belt....but for me go and sort out Joyce before you start singing again. And before anyone says he beat Zhang it doesn't matter, Joyce crushed him. It's like Lennox Lewis, when he lost against McCall and Rahman, he was sure to avenge

I got the feeling that if the actual best Parker turned up he'd beat Usyk. And I stand by that.

Dillian was on the PEDS for the first Parker fight and since he’s been off them he’s regressed plus he was improving technically under the guidance of the Tibbs, now he looks like a two bout raw amateur novice…the decline of Dillian is shocking and shows a lot of his speed, stamina etc came out a bottle

Parker don’t ditch no one, so he should fight any of the top 5 in my opinion

Parker can’t let his prime pass him fighting average opponents. Even if they have beaten him in the past they are not in peak physical condition. Even tho there’s a lot going on in the heavyweight division for the next 18 months Parker needs the biggest fights. I think his best Bet is to go for AJ again both men in good condition no excuses both in there prime good fight plus Parker beat wilder.

Dont think he's improved that much, fought two very low volume fighters with slow feet, flattering him. Still a boring fighter and wont cut the very top level, can move around and has nice skills, but not that guy.

Perhaps all the training he's been doing with Fury has brought a different side to his game.

Parker’s my favourite heavyweight and has the best resume of them all. Absolutely loved his call out of Whyte and I’d love to see him win a second world title. The man will fight anyone, something a few of the top boys could learn from.

I think Parker is only below the two beholders and Joshua right now. Not sure if Zhang plans to enforce the rematch clause, if not then I think he’s probably earned the right to take an easier matchup. I do think the activity has been key to his revival though, and that no matter what he does he should probably try to sustain this high tempo he’s been fighting at.

David Tua was in the same position as Parker! Leading up to the Lennox Lewis fight with Kevin Barry as his trainer and the same for Joseph when he fought Anthony Joshua? I just felt something was not right and when Joseph left Kevin Barry and started training with Tyson Fury's team. I feel he got his life back on track and unfortunately for David Tua! It took a toll on him when he went to court against Barry and Martin Pugh.

To be fair the loss against Whyte came from a head clash knockdown. Poor Parker looked pretty concussed and dazed after that. As for the AJ fight, he didn't look like he was going to win, but the ref was pants and wouldn't allow Parker to fight on the inside or get close to AJ to land anything

The AJ/Parker fight was classic UK BS. THe ref would never ever let the guys box on the inside, barely 2 punches could get thrown before he stepped in. Would love to see them scrap it out in the USA where the ref will let them bang. Which is no doubt why AJ wouldn't agree to it. I'll also point out, that with the Tyson fight coming up and everyone talking about age, Parker is clearly better in his 30s than his 20s. Age is A factor not THE factor.

It isn't because he is to nice, it isn't because he lacks killerinstinct or power. It's the gas tank. He held back against Whyte and AJ because he had a limited amount of energy left. He lost against Joyce cause he gassed out. Parker looks briliiant when he can fight a slow paced fight, come out in bursts with fast combinations and then take a rest. I hope he can improve on that and maybe he can suprise everybody even more.

The Wyte loss was far mor controversal than the H fury win. Whyte elbow and headbutted joe and then the ref litterally held him up in the final rounds. Fury danced arround and barely landed a punch.

I said it for a long time, he had to get away from Kevin Barry. Barry gets his fighters to a point where they stop improving and become one dimensional in game plan. Im so happy for Parker getting a second swing at it
