I always buy the SKS as soon as I can, it's basically the poor man's sniper, but still wrecks mimics with its PU Scope.

The AKM single-handedly carried me through the mid and late game, as well as being the gun that I took to the final mission, and it handled amazing. There may be better options than it objectively, but nothing can beat the admiration I have for that scrappy AK pulling me through even the toughest of times.

You placed the AKM in its rightful spot! For me, the AKM fits the vibe of the game perfectly, recoil and awful iron sights included.

Oh man I love those rifles, used to run both of them at the same time as a sniper/ assault combo. The simplicity of using two guns in the same caliber is great and cheap

Seriously love using the akm with fmj for sec 3-4. 70% pen is enough when you take a crate of ammo with you 😂

Sucks that you can't load the SKS from above without removing the magazine like you can IRL. I guess it's because you can't load any gun that has a mag with a +1 in the chamber (I mean through the ejection port), such mechanic doesn't exist in this game yet. But otherwise very cool weapon.

I am a man from Russia. I am duplicating this text, as I have already written it under another video. I want to thank you for your videos. A little bit about 5.45x39 we already have more modern weapons in Russia. Such as AK-12, AUE-971 and many other variants. Personally, I think that this branch has not been developed much in the game. Since the same AK-74m and later models have a forearm with additional picatinny bars. And they could also be supplied with a flashlight + laser + optics. What is currently possible to do only with the m4a1, but as for me, this is a good option for a night raid. In general, I personally expect, in addition to expanding the line of Soviet and Russian intermediate submachine guns, to also receive weapons for a 12.7 x 55 cartridge. Namely, the RS-12 Pistol, the ASH-12 submachine gun and the SL-CSR Exhaust. At least just for the sake of interest. Well, you could immediately add 0.50 BMG and a Russian analogue with our family of rifles under 12.7x108mm = D, however, for the latter, an additional level of complexity will already be needed and a new location is desirable. Oh, I almost forgot, I would also like to see AA-12. Still, this is a game, why not add variety to it.

Love the akm, got a fully tacked out one with the underbarrel GL and a specter 1-4 optic to run it as a pseudo dmr and it slaps carries me thru every run once i get one. Turn the optic down ro 1x or flip it sideways with a red dot sight on the side rail or a laser and it fucks in cqc

As an SKS owner, I love them. So, you know what my first ingame purchase was. Very sad it’s not stripper clip loaded. Would be cool if the AK magazine thing was actually an upgrade and be default it was stripper clip loaded. I’m still in the early game, but I love using it and I’m sad at the prosepect I might have to give it up one day

Watching back on these, man, can you imagine if ITR2 gave us the AK-103 or, even better, the AK-Alfa as a really modern option for a 7.62mm Kalash?

I just use the SKS if I take a rifle. Siminovs rifle is my favorite of the Warsaw pact weapons, im so sad they took out the bayonet version. Having used one in real life (at a range) it felt so rough but awesome

The aug with it being a bullpump rife it naturally has less recoil

Man you put the AKM in its rightful place I remember the akm being my first rifle I ever bought and has carried me through the whole game And for that reason the akm holds a special place in my heart Also can't they add a bayonet attachment for the AKM

Tbf I really wish AK irons weren't garbage. Almost all of the AKs have terrible irons

The reason I'm buying the SKS over the AKM is because the SKS can actually have a laser pointer, holo sight and suppressor all on the same gun. I checked with the AKM, and there was only one option for Rail B

6:43 - i think it's posible with adding RPK (or/and RPK-74) , but this type of weapon is not looks suitable for Radius explorers
