Always do a mock up just like this! Great video. First assembly gotta make sure everything is groovy and aligns. If your all set amd she runs hard. Take it all back apart and send everything for quality hard core old school chopper paint work❤❤❤ cant wait to get one of these for me....and my son too I guess can ride it. 😂
Why don’t you guys pull the trigger and mount your chain/clutch guard with dzus fasteners. That way it’s a lot easier to work on the clutch when necessary and the mounting point can stay in place. Just my 2 cents worth. Great looking build by the way.
$900? with no suspension, no motor, no finish, and I have to put it together...why would I buy this and not another MB200-2? sorry guys, but I think you missed the mark on pricing ..as long as a complete running Coleman 200U or BT200x is available for less than $600 at Walmart
@Skott LeFever then GPS needs to do an educational comparison vid showing the differences between the rascal and the chinese made mini bike frames...like wall thickness of the tube, the weld quality, frame geometry, etc.. otherwise the consumer will base their comparison solely on the price only because that the information we have
@@jimcornish242 Jim - that's milinials, Gen X & Y Basing their buy on price alone.... although &900 does seem a little steep for an engineless unpainted kit.At least as said your buying American made.We used to build our own frames as kids their that simple but popular mechanics ram how to articles if you didn't know much and got stuck Your Dad would remember.Cheers Trev New Zealand PS I've got a commercial on that was made in Taiwan & sold in Australia : Rare Deckson Rockhopper with Techumseh engine & Honda QA50 wheels-all Stk from the 70's - putting a Honda CT90 bike engine in it, the dual range 8 speed semi auto $900 & an Engine & paint & you'd own the market. The Chinese are that clever at reverse engineering they are importing blown EL34 Radio tubes to make knock-offs, truely. If it isn't welded down they'll steal it.
@Skott LeFever they say the frame is made in USA but won’t list the specs of metal on their site and you still might have to “make adjustments or re-drill holes” and every other component is the same Chinese parts they use on other cheaper Chinese bikes. That frame does not make it a $900 kit
Damn dude there’s a better way than pounding on them down tube center’s like a piece of thread all two nuts two washers you can do it anyway you want but I’d rather press them in get them straight and start pressing them in with thread all… better than all that damn hammering Just try it????
I am getting a bad front end vibration/shake when accelerating on my new build. I have the road 15 x 5-6 Ultimate Mini Bike Street Tires. I also have the upgraded wheels/rim. It looks like bearing are leaking which are brand new. Any Ideas?
I have the chain guard, sprocket, brakes,, throttle, Wheels, tires and a $100 spun aluminum gas tank....I'm about 12.25% on my way....oh yeah it needs a motor....make that 2.25% 😃.
Wait, what? $900 for a bare frame with no suspension, no frame gussets, no steering stops, and questionable handlebar mounts? I'll sell my bare rupp lil indian frame with full suspension and fold down bars for $1000 I guess.
That’s what I’m saying, even on their site there’s a disclaimer “may need to make minor adjustments and or re-drill holes” How you gonna charge $900 for bare minimum quality, like you said no suspension, no gussets, questionable steering components, one single drop tube off the head tube with no gussets, brass bushings instead of bearings for head tube, bare metal no coating, they also seem awfully shy with not listing the metal specs of their “made in USA” frame, I bet it’s comparable to the cheaper Chinese frames. Not to mention engine and shipping fees. So disappointing, i like GPS a lot but this is just a smack to the face
I wish I would of read the comments before my purchase. I ordered the rascal 5/24/22 and still haven’t been able to ride it. Still waiting on brake assembly, and didn’t realize when you order fenders they don’t offer what you need till you call back and say something is missing. And they realize they didn’t add it to your order before shipping then charge you when you spent well over $1300 on everything you ordered to be charged for someone mishap, no I wouldn’t recommend. Gussets, powder coat and now fabricate fenders, I’m well over 2k into it and still haven’t rode it…….smh go power do better or lose customers like myself. ✌🏼
For that price i legit bought my first motocycle its not a minibike its a f**king Yamaha Ténéré of 1991 works perfectly fine i will Never buy this thing
Thank you Go Power Sports. I might just buy myself one of these for my birthday lol I've been watching your kit building videos over and over dreaming about how I would set up the perfect mini bike.
Yeah Gopowerspots is the bomb… look I’m looking for a top plate like when you take your gas tank off then bolt it on right.. So with that being said Okay here’s what I got a DuroMax 420cc 16hp engine I’ve got to take the Gas tank off it to make it fit my BT200X Coleman and like I seen John an Ike carsandcamras do with there Colorado build there at the shop I need that top engine plate and two kool looking gas tanks they bolted to I think it was a Coleman mini bike… thank you
They are specific for the Rascal Minibike and we do not have them separate. They are different because they are narrower than our 12" and 15" ape hangers
Hey just had a quick question. I ordered a Trailmaster MB200 over a week ago and it’s still processing but the TM storm I purchased 2 days ago already shipped.. I’m having issues getting anyone to contact me back about it.
Looked up your order, it is already in transit to you with R&L Carriers. Should be there tomorrow. The Storm ships from our warehouse because they are smaller. The bigger MB200s are drop shipped from TrailMaster since they are heavier and need to go out on an 18-wheeler. Thanks!
GPS, My bike did not come with spacers for the brake calipers. It only came with lock washers. How much of a gap should the spacer take up? I've added washers but it still rubs and does not spin freely
I can tell you live in California or somewhere that does not get snow. That thing will have so much rust if you live in Illinois. You should have at least put a clear coat on it. Lol
I have a quick question, I have a Realtree 200 mini bike that I bought from Walmart customer returned it Walmart gave sold it to me at 50% off. So I brought it home and looking around I removed the spark to to see it and I noticed when I pulled to start the engine with the plug off, oil was coming out is that Normal or did I get a lemon.
Big fan of GPS but a price tag of around $900 is crazy! I decided to build my own and got enough steel to make two bikes for around $60 and looks to be heavier steel. Again, BIG fan of GPS but the price tag is very disappointing. Edit: to clarify I never said I could build two complete bikes for $60. I said I could buy enough steel for two bikes for $60. Obviously you need the other parts.
The lite model is 499.99 does it come with literally everything to ride it says it comes with engine and EVERYTHING just seemed cheaper then I expected if so I'll buy it right away lol!
JB....get an old school panelbeater or general engineer with an English wheel to make you some or try a fellow at a men she'd who can roll you a pair.Goodluck Trev NZ
I bought a old mini bike , it has a baja brand engine in it thats worn out badly , needs a new engine , my question is do any lawn mower engines work on mini bikes ? like the predator 212cc engines ?
