People need to remember - this song was released back in 2003. That's nearly 20 years ago! Of course Lauri isn't going to sound exactly like he did when he first sang it. His voice has aged in that time and he has continued to sing regularly in the last 20 years. No singer can be 100% perfect all the time. Would you rather he cancelled the gig!? The main thing is he still has the stage presence and energy and is still performing!!!! The Rasmus are incredible and long may they continue ❤️
I really don’t understand how anyone else could vin if Rasmus was one of the contestants. Nothing to be said about the unfortunate and sad situation in Ukraine and their song was not a bad one also, but… Rasmus is simply outstanding. Not a hater or anything, just saying.
I've been a fan since i was 16 in 2003 when this song was frist released am now 35 and still love these guys, I think he still sings this song amazingly. My favourite songs are sail away and living in a world with out you. ❤️❤️❤️
I'm a big Fan since 2003 too ! I love this Band and hear every Day their Songs ! For me is The Rasmus the best Band and they deserved the Win ! The Voting Result is really unfair !

I usually love Lauri's vocals _but_ I think he sounded really exhausted during this performance.. or he might not be able to sing his older songs anymore because it may be straining his voice already 🥲
I've never been the world's biggest Rasmus fan, but I've seen them live a couple of times at festivals and honestly, Lauri has always been a great performer but never the world's best live singer.
Great band, great songs and he's a great frontman, but if anything, his live vocals are very strained and concerning. It's not even a matter of opinion, it's just a fact, as much as i'd like to cheer for him, cuz I love the studio versions and it's very nostalgic to see and hear them again.
I know that as a fan it is always hard to admit but the quality of his voice is not good. He seems breathless. I follow them for 20 years now and saw them live many times but here I am very surprised 😟 I am afraid they cannot win Eurovision because of that. I hope they will win but the voice has to be better.
@@HelenNetallica I know they've been in the music scene for a very long time, but he's only 42, not 70... It's not a matter of voice aging. There are many singers much older than him who still sound amazing. He's clearly struggling to sing and I assume it's because he doesn't know how to use his voice properly. It looks and sounds like adding damage to an already existing damage. I only say that because I want him to do well and have a sustainable singing career. I hope it's not a case of a rockstar image... being "too cool" to take good care of your instrument and just wing it.
Wonder who was the sound engineer, he wasn't able to put an eq, a bit of reverb and a compressor to the vocals, thats why he sounds like this, probably in the venue he sounded way better
He's been singing since High School they only had little hiatuses in their bands, I think out of the around 30 years they have been playing they only had FIVE years of long breaks.. It might become an actual concern now that he can't sing his older songs if he sounds like this already 😔

Nerviosismo... Quizá el cansancio. pero deriva en una falta del apoyo que se necesita para sostener correctamente la voz. No tiene nada que ver con cantar desde la adolescencia.
I don't understand why they're using an instrumental backing track. None of the instruments are plugged or mic'ed. The vocals are terrible. If you can't hit the old notes don't ruin your voice. Transpose the song down 2 semitones.

Умеет он петь, на Сахалин приезжали в 2018, была на концерте, спел превосходно, я сама охерела, когда услышала) До того момента тоже думала, что Лаури так себе певец, но изменила свое мнение после концерта. Тут он поет чисто на связках, ну и походу за 42 года не понял, что у него так петь не получается 🤣 Да и звук херня полная тут, звукачу двойка за работу)
