THE RAVEN BOYS BY MAGGIE STIEFVATER BOOKTALK 

I checked these out at my local library and it pained me to give them back. I really want to have them in my collection.

I read The Raven Boys this June and was AMAZED AND OBSESSED AND IT WAS MY EVERYTHING! I think it became my favourite book and I loved EVERY SINGLE WORD!! Doesn't this book just feel like poetry? It just speaks to my soul in the most beautiful way. And today I started The Dream Thieves and God I adore this book just as much, like wow. But actually in The Raven Boys I didn't really like Adam. I loved how unique he and is story were (especially for a YA book let's be real) but I didn't like his actions because I didn't understand them. So thank you so much for this video because I now understand that I was too afraid to actually look things through Adam's eyes. Now I'll try to be a more mature reader and understand and love Adam for being Adam as much as I can! I can't wait to watch your other videos for The Raven Cycle after I finish those books and of course watch all your new videos! I love you, you are a sunshine :)

I always love when reviewers review books they genuinely love, it just makes it shine :) This was a lovely review and I enjoyed how you also understood Adam well, as I see quite few people find him irritating (though I can understand why people would it that way on a superficial basis, I feel that if you switch on your empathy button and look through the surface and the motivations and reasons behind it all, all of these characters are just understandable and loveable in their own ways) My only mild point of critique would be on your comment that Ronan seemed 'underdeveloped' but to me he definitely always feels like a hugely solid and well thought out character, we just aren't - shown - so much of his past and why he behaves the way he does. Other than that this was a very enjoyable review :) on to the next one for me!

And you're a fellow Funko collector too! Sweet. Yea I have been asking many people about this series especially if there is appeal towards a male audience. Most say yes and as someone who has read the Lunar Chronicles and enjoyed it overall I feel I will enjoy this series as well.

I bought this book years ago and i didn't read it for so long, after hearing you talk about it so much I decided to finally read it and now I am completely obsessed. I loved it so much, it got me out of a horrible reading slump. I am so ready to marathon the rest o the books, also your booktalks.

Ordering this series later this evening and I can't wait to get it so I can read it. Everyone's been talking about this series and I just can't wait. Your review was the clincher that helped me decide to go ahead and buy it.
