This is the best video I've seen about Ravenfield. As an avid player who's completely wasted his time on this small Unity shooter, I thank you for making this video to introduce more people to the game. Also, this quality of content deserves way more numbers. Subscribed!
As many of you have suggested, I will rebind helicopter controls and try them again when I make "The Modded Ravenfield Experience" haha Edit: The Helicopter Update came out a day after I released this hahaha
The scalpel is for anti-air purposes primarily, and the Slam-R is good against lighter vehicles that might be able to dodge a dagger plus it’s immune to countermeasures seen as the projectile isn’t guided.
As a person who started playing Ravenfield in summer of 2020, I know what you mean when you say the planes and helis are hard to fly. Here is a control scheme I came up with: Plane throttle up/down: W S Plane pitch forward/back: Mouse Y- Mouse Y+ Plane turn left/right: Mouse X- Mouse Y+ Plane roll left/right: A D Plane Sensitivity: 9 Heli Sensitivity: 4.67 Heli throttle up/down: W S Heli pitch forward/back: Mouse Y- Mouse Y+ Heli turn left/right: Mouse X- Mouse Y+ Heli roll left/right: A D Heli auto hover: E (Any other unused button would work) And you can always customize the controls.
@@Macelroy The "Melee Weapon Megapack" mod And I also made other mods as well after that one (most pistols but there are gadgets/equipments as well, planning on making a AR15 pack as my next one), some of the trailers are on my channel my latest mod is a full on working cloaking device, the trailer is the one with my profile pic wearing a joker mask as the thumbnail
@@Macelroy Also, you can press C to change the camera view when you're in a vehicle. I didn't see it mentioned in the vid, maybe because it hadn't released yet, but just letting you know
5:38 - You can increase/decrease it's range by holding T and scrolling up/down. Edit: just saw that he realised that you can change range... 6:41 - you need to change helicopter controls in settings so it's easier to fly.
@@papakilo-2750 idk, I joined at the late stage of Early Access Build 25, (or EA25) and EA26 just came out, along with that a ton of cool fricking mods came out as well, not to mention the Project: Conflict Modpack and the Vanilla+ Modpack as well.
I recently stumbled upon this video and as a long-term ravenfield player I really like the review. Ravenfield in my opinion is a must have considering it's fun nature. I remember discovering this game during the EA4 and falling in love with it because as a kid I was very easily entertained. Amazing video!! (Btw using the helicopter is way too easy, get on my level)
@@Macelroy Also, if your interested in other games that are similar to big titles but not as big, Beam Ng drive. Pretty much the same. Lives off the mods. But it’s driving instead of shooting.
Fun fact: the thumper, nade launcher, has a secondary type of ammo, smoke grenades. Just press 4 on your keyboard once you have the thumper out to change to the secondary ammo
Dessert Hill and Twin Islands weren’t designed to be played on Instant Action. They serve as intermediaries on Conquest mode to get fast paced battles.
There’s actually a secret weapon called the “Railgun” in ravenfield. Instructions: 1. Kick the crashed UFO in temple in the mountains and defeat the enemy team 2. Capture all the flags on Coastline while the UFO is attacking both factions 3. Cutscene will play 4. You will obtain the Railgun Also now there’s a new mode called “Spec Ops”. You play has a team of elite eagle operatives called “Talon” Also now new version of the Advisor and new characters like: “Eyes” “Rick” “Grunt” The ominous raven advisor Raven spec ops team “Raven” And now Early access 27 beta with a new scripted mission/story New map called “Citadel” Patriot TAC weapon Résistance sword (I don’t know how to obtain it) New changeable setting called “Mutators” And that’s all you missed
Hey just wanted to say there is a alien space ship on the map temple you REALLY have to look for it but when you find it press v (kick) and you get a rail gun that blows up anything including apcs😉
I have a couple video ideas I'd like to do, then I plan to make the modded ravenfield experience and then the ravenfield experience 2 at some point after that soo probably late August/ early September

Do Raven field again, but more mods! The EXTAS Mod pack and Close Air Support pack is amazing. Just hope someone makes a good flare mod that brings in extra units from a Chinook or 22V Osprey.
dustbowl is honestly one of the better maps, it has a town, airstrips, canyon sorta thing, just overall a lot of things in it making it really good imo. also i never played river delta
Great video, I just started playing myself and this is a pretty accurate summary of my little experience so far. I definitely need to play around with mods a little more.
I use to have the same problem with the helicopter, but when you play the game more and you get more experience with the helicopter you will actually fly it.
the plane part is pretty fun when you practice hard enough. my first attempt ended to my demise by crashing on the enemy base whilst attempting to kill them with the gatling
Air vehicles is hell to fly , you still can somewhat get kills with bomber plane , but the basic plane is a pain to aim , and the heli , even have a very heavy armament , but the control is literally hell
Slam r is for planes. Also if you learn how to use the thumper it is op. Also also all you need to do to fly helis is fix the key binds and I suggest changing them to war thunder or other vehiclular combat games.
Here is my controls for planes and helicopters (if you want to use it) Heli pitch forward/back [mouse y-] [mouse y+] Heli turn left/right [mouse x-] [mouse x+] Heli roll left/right [A] [D] Heli auto hover [E] [Planes] Plane pitch forward/back [mouse y+] [mouse y-] (plane pitch is inverted) Plane turn left/right [A] [D] Plane roll left/right [mouse x-] [mouse x+] I suggest using A and D to go right and left with planes and only using mouse to aim and going up or down
The game does seem overpriced at first, I agree. But just the sheer amount of mods you can use to customize your experience makes it worth it. It's like having battlefield 1, 4 and 5 in one neat package with memes and maps on the side.
Man i just love to create configs with different scenarios, for example:ww1,ww2,gulf war,vietnam war,ww3 and more. I also like making maps 2 yrs ago i made a map called Outpost protection and its simple you have an outpost in middle of the deserzt which you have to protect from waves of enemies.
