Picked this up at my FLGS last night. Looking forward to trying it tonight. The video was super helpful in clarifying some of the rules in the book.

About a year late, but honestly.. The only thing I still don't understand, which is probably easily answered. When a Raven steals at the end of the game, and you use a purple to stop it. Does the purple stop the entire stealing of that particular color, or just a single card?

Probably you already had the answer, but I'm taking this game from the pile of shame so I'm reviewing the rules (again) lol. The answer is in the FAQ at the end of the rulebook: Purple cards can be used at the end of the dream. Purple cards 3, 4 and 5 blocks one raven from stealing any number of cards on the same instant, e.g. when the Antman is split.

Thanks for the great video- One thing I'm still confused about to do with card powers. If as Feth I decide to use the blue power (add or subtract 1 to the value of the next card placed in the atman), turning my 2 into a 3 so I can add it to a 4 in the atman - thus reliving a memory... then when it's Ren's turn- when she adds that card to her poem row - is it still a 3 because Feth previously turned it into a 3? Or is it back to being a 2. I'm assuming the latter, but just wanted to double check!

It goes back to being a 2, the plus or minus one is only for the purposes of making 7 and reliving a memory when the card is placed.

6:36: Why are you not allowed to place the second purple card on the left side of the first purple card?

You are allowed to place the purple card on the side as shown *but* it won't trigger a memory being relived

oceanyingtonic why this? Is it because I leave the other purple area uncovered? Or something else? Do I need to COVER all color area of the bottom cards?

In order to relive a memory , all the relevant cards need to overlap each other (6:22). You need to overlap at least one coloured quarter on the purple card in order to form an area of 7 - it is otherwise still a legal placement, but won't gain you the benefits of reliving a memory. Is that clearer?

oceanyingtonic No, sorry. Forget about the green card. You have two options to relive a memory by using the purple cards. You can place purple 4 on the left or upper part of the purple 3. In both cases two quarters will be matching (purple and not colored) and there will be no other cards between them.

Yes, you are correct, both of those are legal options - the example in the video is just trying to show that placing it on the side doesn't qualify. My apologies for the confusion!

Why is the third gold card in the dream turned face up but not the first gold card when reliving the gold memory?

Unless I'm mistaken, Rem's player chooses which card to flip if more than one match the memory, but she only gets to flip over one of them. If Feth relived another gold memory, she'd get to flip over the other one. As for why she'd flip over the third card instead of the first, there could be a few reasons. For one, it lets Feth know the number of the card, so he can play cards that can add up to 7 easier. It also means that Rem can safely use yellow cards for that verse of the poem without losing a potential scoring card.

Hey. Just some ruling questions. If you've have Ravens in the Raven row, they have a Safe zone above them. What happens if the drawn card are Ravens that end up in the Safe Zone? Do they get discarded at the end of the turn or they automatically end up in the Raven row regardless.

Before moving Ravens to the Raven Row, if you have any Ravens in the Safe Zone, those Ravens are discarded.

Once you've beaten the game, open the first envelope card and use those rules from then on Once you've beaten it a second time, open the second envelope and add those rules too! Same again for win and envelope number 3

so it is additional rules? because i heard that the third game rule is kinda different like the atnum should be the same color as the heart and also ren can't use the power etc

Additional rules that may add to or contradict earlier rules, yes. They should hopefully be clear in their meaning when you read them!
