I must say, I consider disposable / exchangeable batteries an advantage, since I tend to use my mouse over a long period of time and batteries age. Sure, it's not as bad with a mouse as it is with a smartphone, but still not exactly an upside. Very nice review, perhaps the push I needed to buy this one ;D

The little details are so important between mice - I returned my Orochi v2 because the grip width felt too wide. Yet my main is the XM1R! Who would have thought it . Nice vid bro

Yeah those are entirely different shapes, but the XM1r isn't necessarily more narrow, but yeah it's usually a result of many things if you like a shape or not!

@@hausgaming exactly! I think the wide back section and narrowed grip area is what is so appealing about the XM1R to me. I have to say my Orochi copy had the crispiest clicks I've ever used though

I found my copy had dpi deviation. If I did a 360 spin while keeping my mouse straight, it come in at shorter distances than my other mice. It worked out to be 0.1 difference in apex, which is noticeable. But now I know that, it's easy to adjust in game settings. You still notice the more forward sensor but at least the dpu deviation can be the same

Its weird because I had to use 3000dpi to get 3200 actual on my odin infinity pad, but for some reason my new artisan raiden records perfect dpi. Super weird because the raiden is notorious for having sensor problems and spinouts with older sensors, but with the orochi its perfect no spinouts.

You should check out the delux M800DB. It's a wireless slightly larger viper mini clone that I think might end up being my new main. I'd also be interested to see the latency numbers but from my brief experience so far it seems pretty good. Make sure you get the one with the 3335 though!

I tried the mouse at first DIDNT like it cuze it was too fast and like I couldn’t control my aim as well. I changed my dpi from 500-400 and changed the stock skates to core pads and it def helped , I feel like I have better control and aim and it’s a great mouse now that I got used to the shape after playing with it for a couple hours

It does actually have sensor deviation as its slightly faster than other mice. Just try measuring ur x cm/360° in game with the same dpi and compare it with other mice and you'll see that the orochi v2 stops earlier when measuring horizontally.

It's not called sensor deviation. It's CPI deviation, testing cm/360 is a horrible way to test it, there are applications that you can measure it with, and the numbers I had from actually testing it were in normal range :)

Hey haus, great review as always! Im searching for a mousepad like the gsr with slightly more control an way more consistency. You recommended the esports tiger neon, but i dont like a coated pad. Do you know any alternative except the esports tiger or the artisen zero?

Most pads that are like the G-SR-SE will be coated, Xtrfy GP4 is a really good uncoated option

I really like the shape, mine unfortunately had around 75-85 dpi deviation on my dpi of 800. That combined with the sensor placement makes my sens feel much different from any other mouse.

@@hausgaming yeah, razer right replied to me on reddit and said it's on the high end of what they consider acceptable. I just tuned the dpi with rawaccel and it works, just a little annoying.

My dpi was around the same deviation as yours! Definitely too much and I don't think it's acceptable. But in apex, I drop 0.1 in game sens and it's then closer, but still slightly quicker. At least then I can manager it and I actually like the further forward sensor. It's the first time that a mouse has had that much deviation for me

It feels even better with corepads! I was surprised, it looks like razers mousefeet have quite a bit of impurities, or coloring added which impact smoothness. They aren’t bad, but I can feel a little stickiness when moving the mouse from a stop. With the corepads on the white mouse you can actually see the holes in the mousefeet. I can’t even see any color through my viperultimate corepads so maybe corepad improved their purity, the orochi corepads do feel slightly better although this could be from the lighter weight or better more rounded feet design.

I'm currently using a steelseries rival 600 but planning to change to a wireless mouse. Seriously divided between the GPX and the Orochi V2. What would you recommend? Great video btw, very informative.

If you can try it out, get the Orochi V2 first since its cheaper. I have both and prefer the Orochi over the GPX.

I wouldn't necessarily say that, there is way too much theorycrafting about the importance of sensor position. It's mostly just about getting used to it!

i saw the position of the censor but never took it into consideration until of watching this video, because i switch between my mice and i really wanted that orochi v2, do u think the censor is an issue because of its positioned forwards? Or do you think it is still worth getting?

Hey, i just found out (funnily enough) after like 15+ years of gaming that i use a weird grip, its fingertip but my ringfinger is on the top right side of the mouse, so it works perfectly with the GPW, bc the buttons are inside the shell, hati-s doesnt work bc the buttons go outside, and on the outside the sides go inside, so its really hard for me to grip it. Skoll Mini was perfect (cable tho) Now to my question, how do the sides of the orochi feel? is it possible to put your ringfinger on top edge of the button without it making it feel weird when using the button? thanks :D

I sadly don't have the tools to test click latency, but I'd assume it's tad bit slower, but nothing you could feel in-game.

What size hands you got? i have 18x10 hands and orochi v2 suits me nicely. I also own and like, g203(my old mouse) and roccat burst pro! I use SPC Gear endorphy, awesome cordura mousepad!

@@dhanushdelish7280 it is similar, but that depends where you grip g203, if you grip it near bottom then the razer is definitely wider! Believe me, you cant go wrong with orochi v2. I also have g403 but i prefer those three better!

@@dhanushdelish7280 roccat has some sort of extrafine matt coating on the transparent parts. kinda velvety under a finger. the sides are grippy, very nice.. roccat vs razer, both are great and different. Maybe roccat is a safer shape a little bit, but coming from a g203 i got used to razer shape little faster. whatever you choose you cant go wrong. roccat clicks, are more bassy sounding, personaly i like the sound of them. tension on them is the same as on g203. my g403 has lighter clicks. razer is similar to g203 as clicks goes.. pick whatever they are both f..ing great mouses!

oh man that HAVU mousepad looks so amazing. I bought the orochi and a tiger EBA, but i just HATE the orochi :( i think my hands are too big even for fingertip(21x11cm) on it...

I have 21x11 hands and main the ultralight 2 when I fingertip. The Orochi feels significantly wider in hand than that. Starlight 12 would be my endgame fingertip mouse........ if I could get one 😞

@@Leon-rk4dy the Orochi is good for fingertip at that hand size. It's just the weird egg shape that takes time to find yourself a comfortable grip. I tend to grip it further back on the mouse, when I fingertip it. I personally think it feels a little wide for pure fingertip and I have the same size hands. It's a comfy relaxed claw shape too

I might have to get this for the sole reason that it has forward sensor position. If it had a wire (lower latency and lower weight) it would be an immediate purchase.

@@hausgaming is the wireless implementation in this that much better compared to other mice/brands? With logitech g203 vs g305 I certainly can feel the difference in latency and it's measureable in my in my track aiming percentage for example.

@@hausgaming nah, its around 1ms difference in wired vs wireless which means about 10% decrease/increase in the whole latency chain. For most people it can seem placebo for sure, not for me.

@@vpont4184 Well, it's not impossible, but highly unlikely. Experienced professional gamers and ex professional gamers like myself do not really feel the latency difference at these levels. It's most likely just something else and not the latency difference that you feel

@@jvidia the top shell was super wobbly, it kept moving back and forth. Also when I left clicked bit to the left of the mouse, the back of the mouse popped off. When I left clicked at a position symmetrical to the dpi button, it left clicked and right clicked at the same time.
