I had four of these back in the day - the Wolfman, Quasi, Frankenstein and the Mummy. I actually got them used in the mid-'90's, in pretty good condition - which was good, because I promptly proceeded to play the hell out of them. I think Frankenstein's mouth got messed up somehow; the Mummy was cool, but I found him kind of a one-trick pony, and didn't wind up playing with him much. My favorites were Quasimodo and the Wolfman, and I was really rambunctious with those - the former managed to survive more or less unscathed, but poor ol' Wolfie got the short end of the stick; I smashed him into a pillar, and one of his legs came off. (I still played with him afterwards, though - I made him a makeshift robe and staff, which allowed him to stand upright, and made him a 'mysterious wizard' type.) I'm pretty sure all four are still knocking around somewhere or other - probably in the attic.
Never had any as a kid, the Werewolf was definitely a favourite. I'm glad I got him a couple of years back. His gimmick still works, though one arm doesn't work as well.
I remember having all of these...oh the nostalgia. Quasi isn't a monster. His mother and father just so happened to be also sister and brother. Poor guy.
I wonder if Super7 would do Ultimate versions of these now that they are working with Hasbro. Then again the Hasbro stuff they are working on is stuff that Hasbro owns, like GI Joe, Transformers and Power Rangers
Wow, these take me back. I used to love playing with the Wolfman and frankenstein. I only had those two, Wolfman was my favourite as I had a better frankenstein figure by imperial toys which was actually a Boris Karloff likeness. Have to say I don't think I've seen a better Wolfman figure since, they don't make them like they used to.
Shame they didn't add the invisible man, The gillman and the phantom of the opera to the real ghostbusters line, imagine the kind of gimmicks they could've had besides the phantom of the opera would ironically fit in the Ghostbusters monster line consider he is called a "ghost" lol 👻
As a kid these weren't my cup of tea ( i preferd the more gimmicky figures with fright feature like old lady and foot ball player and mail man). These barley did anything and quasi modo just confused me like.... Hes just a ugly looking dude by society standards his figure even looks sad... Whys he here?! I remember nobody could answer that lol. But this was fun trip through an arguablymore fun time.
Same. Wanted the monsters from the TV-show. Still wonder why they didn't make toys of them? Even today I still would love to have toys/figurines of them.
