As an american, I'm always impressed with how clean and respectable the people keep these narrow alleys. And everyone just goes about and minds their own business. It seems even the poorer people take pride in what they have, and where they live. This is the China I would like to visit, instead of the high society, expensive, big city tourist traps where'd you'd find most foreigners. I'll take the working class neighborhoods everytime.
