At some point in everyone's life, you realize, don't expect anyone to help you. Not even your family! It's all good when they do because it shows you who really cares for you. Especially when they are up riding high, and you are all the way down!!!!! However, don't expect it!!!!!!!!!
waiting on this tony fr keep it need you on my podcast frfr ..my mama form mhp i watch the building been knock still gotta brick frfr she move us to Carolina now I'm back in the warzone
I stay tuning in to u bro! I'm about to send my cousins Timmirror and Marlow the link. I know they would love it. U also did a joint about one of my late cousins too. Her name is Tonya Barfield. I respect your work! Much love and respect bro!
He said that Marlo had changed if you didn't watch the whole video, writing books for kids, giving back to community's. Tho you might not think so, it's not your place to judge, sin is sin, murder carries the consequences as a dirty thought with no action. You can't please everyone, you will always be a asshole to someone.. Peace
I really like yr channel. Anybody who loves The Wire, has good taste. The in depth look at the non fictional characters of The Corner and The Wire are great.
I like the way you informed him of that I like the story too and I was saying the same thing but I couldn't get the words on how to express it to me how to say it that was right on point
Not hating, but you need to rehearse. Give yourself a chance to get comfortable with the words written. Once you get comfortable with the words you will be able to speak them in a more captivating way instead of using the same monotone voice throughout. It will help make parts of the story that need it... pop a bit more. Show off your passion and polish your craft and I bet you double your subs and views. You don't want your video's sounding like you're giving a book report. Best of luck to you. Subbed.
This was a very nice way to put it.... It's crazy how certain social platforms are more wholesome than others. I can only imagine the mean comments he would've gotten on something like Twitter or IG.
That how they talk there. A lot of them talk this particular way, and they sound this particular way no different than the hillbillies or country people. Not much wrong with what he said I understood everything and I’m not from there.
Wow bet that was Crazy ??? Did the Ecstasy not Chill everyone out a bit ??? Coz The E"s in 1988/89/ Did in England :-) **** and we're a Different Breed :-) !!! Mad Dogs an Englishman :-) !! The World knows it :-) !!! Still Dig Your work on the Channel :-) !!!! So Peace from your White Brother from Sunny England :-) !!! Have it :-) **** And God Bless :-) ***
In all fairness HBO is notorious for not paying very much for their shows. If anyone from the show got rich it was from work they got AFTER the show, especially since when it originally aired ratings for The Wire were downright awful. Its only what it is today because of word of mouth.
@@wescarr I've heard the story that HBO cancelled the show after the first season dropped because of bad ratings, but word of mouth spread over the summer and the show gained popularity. HBO changed their mind, and writers had to plot on the fly from there. Money was made later.
Remember he had a different last name from the rest of his family so he couldn't sue the producers and makers of The Wire they didn't need his permission
Yo this dude was wild AF Marlo was the man yo I remember when Marlo and T wouldn't let the mail man come in westport cause they thought he was a federal agent so everyone had to get there checks at the post office
My popz had joe dancer about to get me a fulltime job at the bmore city dept of sanitation i was 23 in the streets tryna shine like pops me becoming a trashan wasnt nowhere in my focus...joe dancer a regional manager at the sanitation dept

Why in the hell would we glorify this way of life. My problem with this is that the shit he was doing was illegal. People like this bring down their city and their very own neighborhood. Why in the hell should someone put money on his books People like that deserve to be in jail or under the jail.
I am against the fact that they make money outta shit like this, but I think people like him are just by-products of a greater evil, the system, ideology or whatever
Vicente Turner: Whatever profits are made should be distributed amongst the public school system to bring them up to date & start giving kids a decent education, so they can start having a real chance in life.
I agree. The reason hbo didnt reach out to him was bc ...and no offence to the man running this video as i enjoyed it and being from the city myself i know a thing or 2 but executives dont wanna deal with ppl who sound 10xs worse than the narrator of this. Nvm. Idc where youre born, selling poison is wrong murder is wrong. Idc how many rents you help pay etc
Without father's in the homes they will find fathers on the streets. Delete the 19th amendment. It was used to vote men out of the homes and created this mess.
I thought HBO looked out for Marlo and them. I'm 59 years old and we will never see them kind of days again in Bmore. We didn't kill each other for petty 💩.
Bro please proofread for a while because it's painful to listen to it like a kid reading the story but obviously not a kid's voice. But keep up the work and I'll check channel in about 6 months or so
7:50 I disagree. What you’re terming as respect is really just someone wanting people to fear them. Fearing someone isn’t the same as actually respecting them.
Great video mate from Liverpool uk, but they probably didnt reach out to the real marlo cos to them they wouldnt want to pay an ex major criminal for his story?
That's kind of messed up they didn't talk to him I heard he was locked up at the time (not sure ) but at least should have interviewed him gave him a little cash
The wire didn't owe Marlo shit he made his money off the streets and broken homes should he profit again when he get penalized.... And I'm from the streets so I know what he went thru.....
They didn't have to reach out to him for advice, he is one of thousands in the country and one of hundreds in the city of Baltimore. They didn't need his advice. He didn't do anything special to get paid for you know. Not hatin but think about it. He was a drug dealer and now he want to get paid from a story????
Remember this fam. Remember when Omar jumped and it felt like fantasy? Like it was stupid? The real Omar jumped from a higher floor and lived. The writers weren’t sure if people would believe how they wrote it but knew if they showed how high he really jumped they felt people would think the show had turned into a superhero show.
Stop putting this out there off of court transcripts.... That crew is from Westport! Him, Tamir and Cateyed Tony! Plus if you ain't grow up in Westport, Cherry Hill or South B-More you don't know. What makes you think he gonna give you a interview when they refused to give the producers consent in the show {the wire}. That's why they used court documents.
Know i know where NYC dudes went and sorry to say a couple of dudes didn't make it back to the city and some wore the 👑 and went to jail with it or ended up 6 feet.fax.glad i stayed my self in the city shit i busy dealing with beefing with my own people .this generation ain't a generation.i don't know what to call it.whst you call this generation beside generation.
You see they fabricated saying he came home man give them another chance at life because life in the 80's was 25yrs at least stand on that for that reason.
I feel so bad for him everytime we talk he been locked up longer than i been alive and he gotta heart of gold hes a genuinely good hearted person him my uncle marlow and my uncle cateyed tony
" You lost me with the salute to him part " He directly contributed to the continuous destructions of the Black American race for his own personal gain. Not judging just being realistic and honest. Black people have a infant, minority like mind when it comes to their ability to fully comprehend the world they're in and lack the willingness to accept responsibility and accountability to do what's necessary to change their very own situation and role in the world. " You can't offer me gifts with one hand and slap me with the other. " So besides a great HBO story to entertain the masses and send mix signals. Was it worth it?!
