Barnekkid Thanks! I actually tried every one of my guitars with this! I got great tones from my Les Paul (mini humbucker), Buckshot (Tele-style bridge) and Gretsch-style (P-90 in that one). But the Melody Maker was the best IMHO. It's amazing what that one little pickup can do!
Hey, Mark...I came for your "Life's Been Good" lesson, but stayed for the rest! Great playing and great lessons. I'll be checking them all out soon. Tony B Hi Tony! First, thanks for the kind words. I really appreciate that. Second, I find what you're saying to be really spot on! I listen to songs I already know and find new wrinkles in them all of the time. The guitar is a puzzle that fits together differently for each player. So having multiple views of the same "puzzle piece" helps. Thanks again for listening!!
glassslide Thanks! I looooove my Melody Maker. So underrated. Mine is altered a bit (new nut, re-fretted to my liking and a Seymour Duncan 1/4 Pounder in it - the original pickup is good!), but the basic guitar is just great. I love the feel and the simplicity of the guitar. And the "bite" is perfect for the 70s rock I dig.
