@@dailywire_memes On PC? I've had major issues, glad it works for you! Mainly, games wont boot, so I have to uninstall/re-install, then there's a lot of crashes (Gears Tactics for the first two weeks), etc..... Halo MCC I'd just sit in lobies forever, and having to manually add games to the collection while in game was really weird. I also did not like the fact that you have so little choice on PC with adjusting the Graphics of MCC. Literally like two options.

If the game was already playable, looked very good and had good performance they would have already released it. There is a reason why they have not released it yet and it is because it is not finished. I think it is clear judging by the partly really flat looking objects that textures in the shown build are not the final ones. If they get the textures and the lightning done by release, this game will look incredibly good.

@@alexhing1391 most games would be finished in the same timeline and they would start marketing, games dont release as soon as they done. This is an early build which shows just how behind they are.

Ok, so people don't seem to understand how this works. Its an early build. ITS NOT COMPLETE. If you look for the demo they showed it looked worse. When the game comes out it will look better.

A lot of the next-gen stuff Sony showed is not coming out on PS4. Halo infinite cannot take full advantage of the XBSX's power because it still has to run on the first Xbox One, a very, very underpowered console. It doesn't matter what 343 says, it's a proven fact that if you want to look next gen you have to be next gen only. All you can do is improve the textures and the quality of shadows and effects, but that's about it, the animations, the lighting, the engine, it's very difficult to downgrade that unless you make two games (That's why games ran so good on the PS3, the PS2 versions were not downscaled ports, they were more often than not different games). It's funny, Microsoft is really trying but keeps being dragged by their mistakes on the Xbox One

The statistics still show that they are two separate markets that don't overlap, most who own a gaming PC own a console, but most of the gamers are still on consoles, and the average console player doesn't play on PC. Xbox knows this, because they pay millions of dollars to access information that you and I can't. Otherwise they wouldn't bother spending millions on R&D just to lose money (both companies sell their consoles at a loss to get money back from software). If anything, Microsoft is luring people to PC so they can get rid of the consoles and save a ridiculous amount of money.

Same here, but I have a little hope considering we are in a pandemic and they said this demo was recorded on an old build a few months ago since they couldn’t take one now for some reason... also that the demo didn’t have finished textures OR raytracing applied, I think raytracing will make a really big difference. But still, kinda a fail to show it in that state if it truly is going to be so much better?

I think they must still be working on the lighting. It all looks rather "flat", or plastic as you aptly put it.

Maximilian I hear you - I really hope the raytracing lives up to expectations. They still have a few months yet so let’s hope they pull through!! I love my Playstation but have always loved Halo and support Microsoft, so I hope they knock it out of the park with next gen!! :D

@@michaeld1170 Xbox showed no gameplay other than Halo so no, they did not look next gen. It's all CGI trailer. Even Bugsnax was comparable to Halo. Xbox had Grunge, Tertris etc. Don't pretend that looks next gen. It's astonishing to me Xbox has not showed ANY gameplay running on XSX. PS5 showed 12 games all running on PS5.

Everything PS5 showed were also CGI trailers, studios have made trailers look like gameplay before. Just look at Anthem, so much difference between the E3 gameplay and the actual gameplay. Why are you focusing on the Tetris, why aren't you mentioning Avowed, The medium, Fable, Forza, Crossfire X, because they were CGI trailers? The medium and Crossfire X had some gameplay. Spiderman, Horizon Forbidden west, Demon Souls were also all CGI trailers, but I bet you were excited.

@@michaeld1170 First off The Medium is coming to PS5. I can't even talk about any Xbox games other than Halo because there was no gameplay. I didn't mention PS5 games that didn't show gameplay. Ratchet & Clank gameplay showcase was far superior graphically and gameplay ability wise than Halo and it's pre alpha. "Everything PS5 showed were also CGI trailers", I'll say it again. PlayStation showed 12 games with gameplay running on the PS5. Xbox showed *1/2* games running on PC and they've had 2 game reveals already. PlayStation has had one reveal and it surpassed everything Xbox has shown. Also the fact Xbox hyped this event makes it even more embarrassing. The showcase was a failure even without taking into consideration how much they hyped it. PlayStation doesn't even have to do another event that's how bad it was.

They showed CGI trailers that look like gameplay but until they announce that this is "actual gameplay" then we should not assume that it is. And don't act like Playstation did not hype their event too, yes they did and what did we get, another Spiderman, another Rachet and Clank another Horizon and another Demon Souls, I mean come on, they are living on PS4 sequels. Playstation fans are trying to push the narrative that this event was bad, when in fact this video and the majority of reaction videos say its not, it got people excited for next gen. People everywhere, including this video, are saying it was a solid event and a good one too, yes there were some problems just like Sony had with their bugsnax and sackboy, but overall it was good.

Yeah when he was tweeting about the event and what he didnt like I was rolling my eyes bc you can tell instead of getting genuine criticism he was just hating on it to hate on it. Xbox had many good reveals, trailers, and gave pass stuff. Its never been a better time to be a xbox player and I think that makes people more salty

It's $15, plus Gold right? Then if you really want, its like $60 for internet too. So its more like $80- $90 per month total cost to play that way. At least for me it would be, i only have internet for gaming. Its really hard to play modern games without internet though whether you buy digital, stream, physical...idk if its fair to count internet as a cost for game pass or not.

Viknu Mmmm...if you’re going to count internet cost then you need to count your electric bill and the cost of your TV. Internet, at this point, is a utility. $15 a month is gamepass ultimate. That has all the good stuff in it. They aren’t separate. I look at it more this way. Would you play 2 games on the list to completion a year? $120 a year is just 2 $60 games. If you play that much it paid for itself. Also join the rewards program and you can cash in your achievements for gift cards. It pays for itself.

The Xbox One UI is really not good. However, the PS4 UI is nothing special either, but at least it’s functional and easy to find what you need. Honestly I don’t like either of them. The 360’s original blade UI is my favorite.

While take some years for Avowed to be ready but Obsidian mostly always delivers quality.

Everyones different - I would have an unpopular opinion, becuase I really dig my switch - but I kinda loathe Nintendo first party games. I've never played a metroid game that I can remember enjoying - and I didn't allow myself to get hyped for pokemon until it came out... and it was crap and I regretted buying it. In my view, every nintendo showcase is pretty rubbish... and I have no expectations it would be good. I wasn't particularly impressed with the PS5 event either... but that is one sexy device in my view... and I know i'm going to buy one, for the VR... But Xbox has an uphill climb for many discerning gamers. I bought mine (now long traded in) entirely for scalebound - which was never released... and so I felt conned. I used to really enjoy Halo up until 3... But I just don't care about Forza.. or Gears... or Halo anymore... or Nintendos franchises (I like Demon x machina). Or Sonys franchises.... outside of ghosts of tsushima I guess... VR notwithstanding. I just dont want to spend 100s on a device that leaves me wishing I'd bought another machine instead (like xbox leaving me wishing I'd bought a switch instead, this gen - and then I traded it for that, since I had a PS4 already) Xbox needs not just to show gameplay... they need to actually release a saliva inducing title for me to consider buying an xbox or their services. I'm sorted for portability - and i'm sorted for the best home console experience (VR) - so Xbox's offering is presently just expensive fluff. I wish Fable would be good.... but that is definitely a long shot. ... but of course I would be lying if I said I wouldn't miss obsidian's games. (although if I had to choose between obsidian and spiderman, ghosts of tsushima... PSVR.. God of war etc... then there really is no comparison).

@@Quasiguambo Fair enough. In regards to Fable, I'd be absolutely shocked if it wasn't the best in the series given how competent & talented Playground Games is. And not just Playground, but a lot of the studios MS bought in general. These are some really capable studios, now with more support. In terms of 1st party games, I'd be shocked if it wasn't the best any Xbox console has ever had. I'm a PC gamer primarily, so that's great for me with Game Pass. Obsidian making a new Elder Scrolls style game? I don't care if they showed gameplay or not, by the time it comes out (whether in 2 years or 5 years) I'm buying. After what they did with a new IP in Outer Worlds & without the huge budget, I'm hyped for what comes next. I never imagined a sequel to Hellblade would be a MS exclusive after beating the original, but now that I do, it's just another MS game I'll 100% be buying day 1. I'll eventually end up getting a PS5, I always end up getting each system at some point, but a new Spider-Man isn't really something I'm desperate to play or anything. Horizon 2 probably be when I get one, if they don't announce a PC version that is.

I have a 1080ti... and an i5... 16gb ram etc etc... but my PC doesn't appear to be strong enough to handle PC VR or current/ next gen games in the way that I would like... Of course I am interested in building a stronger one... but err... 2k for 2 parts.. and basically every other part being practically free in comparison to the cost of those 2 parts (i would start again because I damaged my motherboard long ago and so.. might as well..) - But yeah... that insane cost... It's the biggest Xbox game. 1. If it wasn't ready, don't show it. Microsoft doesn't need to show it just because we want it... BUT 2. why wasn't it ready? Again, it is *the* Xbox game. First impressions matter.

@@seththebeth again, microsoft doesn't give a crap if we complain or not. Even if we cry at their doors their sales will still be fine, which is what matters to them. They instantly released another Halo gameplay teaser after the showcase with better textures and whatnot, which means they can do whatever they want whenever they want.

That's not to say the game won't be good. Or even amazing. But apparently that's why this is slightly older footage, cause they couldn't get different, better footage in time. Apparently that's why RayTracing is gonna be a patch & not an out-of-the-box feature...etc.

Also apparently the capture was recorded off of their "Condor" machine which is a less-powerful tool testing Series X version. Not the full-powered retail Box. Why they chose to do it the way they did is beyond me. Maybe they just have so much faith in their fans being about Halo that they think it's fine

To be fair the new consoles are just PCs. Also the Xbox OS is just a modified Windows 10 with a different interface. So with similar / same hardware you may get similar performance.

@@christophersholes1377 The consoles may use some "similar to PC" hardware, but they're optimized to use the hardware they have in ways a PC just can't be. This makes it difficult to get the same performance in any given title. However, I'm sure MS took a lot of time to try to get the performance as close to what they expect the Series X to be as possible. Regardless, they really should've had it playing on actual Series X hardware. And a more recent build that was prettier with less pop in would've been nice too. IMO, they dropped the ball on this one.
