Ya there's no way it's in the game at launch. Rally fans are such a tiny part of an already smaller market in sim racing. Here's praying they bring in an update like AMS2 did though!
RBR was/is one of the best rally games ever made.. I spent 1000s of hours playing that when it first came out So happy to see people like yourself keeping It alive 🖖
I have installed and tried to "love" RBR at least 3 times. Each time i played it a bit and then removed it again. I like it and hate it at the same time. I'll give it another go, hoping it doesn't fill up my SSD this time and annoy me with its primitive interface. AC rally stuff i'll definitely try, I especially love how tarmac rally feels in AC.
I actually had a similar first experience with RBR and honestly what'll REALLY get you to fall head over heels in love with RBR is joining the Discord and joining the rallies in the Discord, and using RBR roadbook to edit pacenotes. RBR has a decent single player component now with the season mode, but it has always been a multiplayer juggernaut
So true man. I always went back to DR 2 after disliking RBR but finally felt I've completed the game and EA WRC felt really grippy. Tried RBR for the 3rd time and finally it landed and I'm in love. Got the VR working too finally but would have been happy in 2d mode too. Big thing for me was getting the pacenotes set up for my liking. Numeric system like in DR 2.
I gotta figure out discord, I’ve tired it a few times and never got anything out of it. RBR kicked my butt last time I played but I probably should dust it off
I think this is great. Rally is my favourite motorsport. I just need to fix my cooked PC to be able to use them... in the meantime I'll be playing EA WRC on my Xbox Series S.
I dunno if you're missing out on much.... EA WRC is right up there as far as quality goes. Was a bit of a return-to-form for Codemasters, and I'm loving it.
Thanks for pointing out that in rbr there now is offline championship mode, i really wanted it so bad, even tho i have wifi i like playing career mode especially with cutscenes. Also when i no longer have wifi, i will still have a lot of fun.
Love your reviews, and enthusiasm! Keep up the great work. You definitely rock! I had no idea about these, but am keen to check them out. Thanks for this info
About new update in RBR, I had so much problems updating existing version to the point I just deleted whole game and installed it again :D Now it works almost fine - I noticed a weird problem where game gets stuck with button 0, restarting the game and wheel makes is work fine
since i tried beamng i cannot go back to anything else.. the driving experience its soo much better. and the physics is light years ahead.. theres also a recce mode and you can create stages with pacenotes on any open world map! now we only need to wait for the good competitions
It's not Hungarian modders in this case. RSF was built by Hungarians initially but now there is an international force of nerds working on it XD edit: very much not happy with the footage at 1:48 we do have steering wheels in RBR and also all cars have now working dashboards. so that is really poor
It's entirely possible for a user to end up with their game looking that way completely by accident. Not only is it not obvious what rbrhud is to a newcomer, but I've noticed a bug since the recent patch where the external view is displayed by default, even if unticked, causing those low poly hands to appear. If you're not happy with the footage, fix the user experience.
@@DiariesOfABadDriver Did you submit a bug report about that on the discord? They can't fix what they don't know is a problem, and it's a community effort so you too could be a part of it getting better.
@@DiariesOfABadDriver Oh yes, after shrinking the size of the game by several GBs and updating other features like VR (which performs well), TripleScreen Support (which also performs well), Physics Engine, New Gauges, New Maps and all of that in one massive free update we can not expect for people to switch through the different views to perhaps fix a simple issue. You need to get kicked off your high horse
I don't quite get why modders invest so much time and effort into making AC a rally sim when there is BeamNG which is far superior platform for those sort of things.
@@Starmast3rmusic He himself doesn't consider him an "RBR modder". The wider RBR modding community despises him because he monetised free work from other people without any permisson despite being asked multiple times to remove the content. Ever since RSF became big, his pool of people to bleed dry became smaller so he wasn't making money anymore. So now he's moving onto another game to try his scam there.
