Vanlife is not always what it seems on youtube. So many people glorify what it's actually like to live in a van in the UK but there is so much more.
The bad side of vanlife in the UK is it can be depressing and lonely but living off grid in a van is all about what you make it and you never know... surprise visitors may be just around the corner.
Vanlife for me is a spontanious cheaper lifestyle living to live ...not working to live.

That was some hike in north wales , i did devils kitchen and then up Y Garn only last week in the glorious sunshine , i have done the lake and tryfan as well , some stunning views from up high as you were lucky to see , the cloud sits on the tops of them peaks quite a bit normally , great vlog as usual richard.

Fact those who actually live in a van or car won't have a RU-vid channel, I reside in my van and I don't plaster my life all over RU-vid, because most homeless people want to stay inconspicuous they don't go shouting it all over RU-vid that they live in a van or car, would you let people know your living in your van what all these van life channels are doing here on RU-vid etc. If you really want to know about what's it like to live in a van or car then wait till it gets colder and the ice is here then leave the comfort of your home and live in your car for an honest week because if you cannot last a week in living in your car or van in winter for a week then living full time in a van or car is not for you, me I didn't have the luxury of choice I had no choice it was my small van or the streets. All these videos on RU-vid with people saying they live in their van or car full time is all click bait to get money, because in reality you wouldn't want people knowing you live in your car or van because of being embarrassed, that's another reason I have no RU-vid channel because I do live in my small van full time and dont want people knowing that, my little van just looks like a works van covered in different coloured paints on my rear bumper and covered in rust and dents without bringing attention to myself, ive got a mattress on the floor and an area to cook food thats it, no luxuries because when your homeless your not meant to have anything, so like this video another click bait

There are 2 ways to look at it. You say your homeless which tells me that you didn't plan to live in a van . Where as myself I worked hard to save money to get a van to be able to escape the "chasing money to pay bills" my life style when I had a flat was me never there because I was always working and when I wasn't I was camping in the mountains. I didn't plan to move into my camper. I just converted it and never went back to my flat so after 8 months I gave it back to the council. I'm now on my 3rd build with my 2nd van. Living in my van suits my lifestyle. To me it's not homeless. I do make videos for money but it's also my hobby. I have 3 youtube channels. All differant . If I do my hobby it will pay so I don't need to travel to a single place of work every week unless like right now I'm saving for a big norway road trip so I've come back to work and grabbed a few weeks work. I do however have a little advice if your wanting to get back into a house. Something that helped me when I was made homeless years ago sleeping in my car. I went onto zoopla. Search your area. Click on the rented properties. The property owner is normally listed. If it says local authority then that is a council property. You can get that cheap with only 1 week deposit . I messaged a few and said I was homeless on a Saturday. Monday morning they called me and offered me a choice of 3. All councils have to do it and it's a way of getting a council house without the big waiting list I hope that is of some help to you. Anyway thank you for taking the time to write a big comment. @@iNDI_VAN_A_JONES I work as well after two heart attacks and I'm disabled, well my friend then I take back what I said about your channel, you like me are actually living in your van full time, I live in my van on an industrial estate so I'm not putting extra ware and tare on the van plus saving money, but you must admit a lot of those who say they live in a van or car full time don't it's all click bait, me myself I'm only working till November then I plan on leaving the corporate UK because it's finished, i have enough money saved so i can leave this country and live and survive for many years, ive know about your journey from the start you would have been better keeping the Transit connect you had, my van is a Citroen Berlingo 19 Diesel none turbo van 2006 and there's plenty of room in it and I'm 5,11 tall, and it still looks like the builders van so I'm not bringing attention to myself with solar on the roof etc, but the fact is there are two many hiring these big vans and pretending they live full time, you never see them doing videos of them living full time in winter, any way all the best to you stay safe, you'll need it the way England's going

@@rickywiltshire5579 Nah it's bad enough there are too many who live in homes against people who live in vans etc, I feel your just ramming it down their throats that your making savings while they get screwed with bills etc, winters coming and as Indi will tell you it's no joke living in a van in winter so getting ready for another 7 months of misery, I work outside in the rain, wind, ice and snow and coming back to a cold van when the diesel heater throws up error codes is no fun

Have you done the cambrian way? It's not an official path so it's empty. Watkins up. Then head down the rydd duu but fork off to the cambrian way . It'll take you to the top of the Watkins waterfalls. Mind blowing . Cross between some small scrambles. Stepping stones. Path. Old disused railway

Awesome walk love the spontaneity of vanlife, I'd done Yr wyddfa a couple of days before, planned to do the glyders the day before but the weather was awful, Awesome randomly bumping into you then change of plans with work quick prep threw bits into the bag and we headed out into the mountains ⛰️ the lake dip 🏞 was perfect and we got down just at the right time, Awesome day in vanlife 🚐

@@iNDI_VAN_A_JONES Really, we were there about three weeks ago and there were a few people on the trail. In the city it is a bit crowded, everyone mainly stays by the lake. On the right side of the museum there is an entrance to the trail, this is our fifth time in this place and every time we discover something new. Good luck

This is not the real reality for the vast majority of Van Lifers in the UK, you are living a vanlife that is a million miles apart from what most others do. You have to bulk out your vlogs with faux drama, many falsehoods, and contradictions. One minute you are giving up work and dedicating all your time and effort to RU-vid, the next here you are in a National Express uniform. I'm pretty damn sure that you have never stopped being an agency driver, and all we are seeing are your little jaunts away from the home you share with your girlfriend when you have no agency work.

I'd never do agency work haha I'm back driving a few days a week to save cash because I want to go to norway next year. Vanlife is what you make it. Everyone's life can be differant . I like to see the Mrs so I see her once every 2 weeks and if I'm in the lakes she comes to visit me. I also spend time in Norfolk to see my kid .

Hope you know that van life is American and Canadian not here in GB, but then you have to copy them, I'm not a van lifer I stay in it not live in it, i don't know about you lot but I live in my body Lol 😂
