Re: Meghan's conversation with the Queen before the funeral - the important word there is "IF". No reliance can be placed on any statement from the Duchess. As for healing the rift: people need to accept that some family rifts cannot be healed and I suspect this will be one of them. I don’t think it matters if you grow up in a country or not to understand a responsibility to educate yourself on the duties and protocols of one of the most significant institutions of whichever country and institute you consider attaching yourself to. I think Prince William has been privy to Harry's temper tantrums when he doesn't get his own way all his life - but his latest moves are a step too far. We saw it when Harry threatened to leave the Army if he couldn't go to Afghanistan as he wanted to do. The fact is that Harry has known all his life what the reality of 'being a Royal' entails and it was his job to ensure his chosen partner also knew, and understood, that the Royal Family was nothing like Holywood and A Listers!

The only way this rift between the brothers can heal is when Harry’s wife is out of the picture totally. Once a trust has been broken along with other mean actions it wont be an easy forgiveness. There is no "repairing" for harry and his family until harry's wife destroys harry to the core (it's almost done) and then she leaves him. Well, Andrew has reportedly been lax about security when he snuck Maxwell and girls into the palace. So there is probably a culture of security not meaning very much. I know someone who was forced to work with him and they said he was arrogant, obnoxious and cruel to people who worked for him.
