Stop it.. I'll tell you the reason why, There was a sauce packet and a canine tooth, the two were not on friendly terms. One day, they decided to spar and it ended in one or two moves. Canine stabbed sauce packet but it didn't end there..Sauce packet brought Canine down with him to Bob's kitchen floor.. Later then both Canine and Sauce packet went different ways, Canime went under a pillow and Sauce packet..you already know, And bob had to go to a dentist. The End
When I was little my teeth were crowded so my sharp teeth were pushed outward, so whenever I smiled I looked like some sort of cat with fangs. I refused to change it because I thought it was a gift from the cat gods.
I have big k9 teeth compared to regular ones Im able to eat meat easy but im not big on Veggies eww only has Bacon bits i be fine All my Human Teeth fallen out when i was younger im now 30 years old have K9 teeth all over kinda like a wolf or dog or Lion
I disagree with the commentator. Canines are not just for looks. In fact canines are one of the most important teeth in the mouth. They are important in giving form to your face. If you look at people with no teeth (edentulous), their vertical dimension is less than someone who does have teeth. Also, let me explain occlusion. The teeth in the back (molars) are designed to grind up and down so you can chew your food with them. They can withstand up and down biting but not really side to side movements or excursive movements. Canines, on the other hand, aren't meant to bite end to end with them like molars. They are designed to slide side to side with each other to protect the teeth in the back. That is why if you have a large filling on the back teeth that is high in occlusion, it is more likely to break. You'll need a crown. Next time, look at yourself in the mirror grinding your teeth side to side and you will see the upper canines sliding on top of the lowers and the rest of the teeth on that side aren't touching at all. This is a really important function of the canine. If you have all four of them, be thankful. You are not overworking the rest of your teeth.
I have my upper canines displaced by 1mm back & other canine by slightly shorter than 1mm , & looking little bit my lower teeth don't show forward so what's the solution....& It shows on facial size...
Even horses have canines , I do think from the perspective of evolution they are mostly originated from being for show /fighting but they may indeed still have a impact on our mouth , in other-words if we didn't have them (for whatever reason) maybe our teeth placement would have evolved differently (even if slightly) , the function of an organ or bone is sometimes just to cooperate so unless the canines has no effect on our jaw it would be just a remaining feature but likely they balance out the rest of the teeth. I think their impact is pretty small but without the rest of our mouth adapting they fit the mold. that being said I think their original purpose was more important than now. Gorillas may still find them useful for eating fruit and bamboo too even if thats not their main purpose so..
@BitterVoid 'The vegans' is myself included lol. Also, try not to make assumptions about meat eaters, it only drives them away from veganism and it is generally not a nice thing to do! (:
I was born without them and always thought canine looked beautiful, so i miss them even though they never existed. But I still have a beautiful smile 😁
I use mine to open condiment packets and packaging. Have you ever tried to open a hard plastic packaging? You need a knife or scissors to open them. Glad I have them
I have abnormally long canines. It’s not vampire long or anything crazy like that thankfully, but it’s pretty noticeable. It’s like a weird gene in my family but mine are by far the sharpest and longest.
@@Hellokitty-pb3gb what? Like how. We have to eat meat and fruits to survive. Sure you can get protein from plants but you get more energy from meat and we need energy.
@@Hellokitty-pb3gb We are though. You need vitamin B12 to stay healthy and that only comes from animal sources and would otherwise need to be taken as dietary supplements. Vitamin B12 is used to make blood cells and a deficiency can cause anemia. It is also used to synthesize DNA when your body creates new cells, so it is an important vitamin. Also, omega-3 fatty acids found in oily fish is pretty essential too. You can find omega-3 fatty acids in some vegan options but research shows they may not have the same benefits for reducing heart disease.
I don’t get why some people get rid of there canine? They should keep them cause it’s a reminder of our long distance ancestors and should feel proud of being born with canines.
I use my sharp teeth for tearing off tags, hard plastics etc. its pretty useful but its not useful for biting my tongue by accident and my teeth is pretty sharp
i have been practicing my bite force, i can chomp a hole straight through a 5cm thick block of wood, but the first molars are where the human jaws apply the most force, they have some pretty good power when you factor in the fact we dont have a sagittal crest (other primates have a bone in their skull which is connecred to their jaws with a bunch of muscle to amplify the bite force. we got rid of it to make room for bigger brains), so we only use the lower jaw muscles when we bite human bites have been recorded to have between 100 and 400-ish psi, depending on the person as for me, mine measured 412 on a gnathodynamometer, thats almost like a donkey im practicing to break the world record dont underestimate human physiology, we didnt get to where we are with our brains alone
@@blaue4667 Lol what kind of logic is that. Their teeth tho Those teeth tho ???? Its focusing on the teeth. We don't say "their" for wild animals. Its "it" "Them teeth" is slang who cares anyway
The reason we have canine teeth is because we're omnivorous. Bears have giant canine teeth despite being omnivores. It's because bears and other predators have to chase down their prey and grab them with their teeth. Humans are different, we use tools to hunt food and hold prey in place. So different tools like Spears and knives are already doing the canine tooths work. But we still have them despite them being pretty small because they're good at tearing. Like tough fruits and vegetables or meat.
🤔 Man: opens sparkling teeth showing canines Woman: look at those canines so romantic, he's the one, opens and smiles showing canine back. 🤦🏽♀️ maybe in prehistoric times
I have canine teeth and omg it's the perfect way for me to dress up as Himiko toga without buying fake teeth and many other anime characters that has sharp teeth
For a 11 year old your dumb for sure because I'm 12 and I knew about this since 8 and I probably know more about this subject than you so go and do some research before commenting because I've studied nature, animals, astronomy, and many more stuff so I think you should check what you say before you post
One theroy Canines are needed to tear thick flesh But with the invention of fire and tools we can cut an tenderise meat So the use of canines were not necessary
I'm sorry but I double check my canines and they were not there. They were replaced by normal length, flat bottom teeth. I have successfully evolved. I am not a pokemon.
Could future humans evolve to have venom glands? In new research, scientists close a long-open door by causally linking early salivary glands with what eventually became venom glands in many animals. Because saliva is the common thread, that means anyone with salivary glands could eventually develop venom-from mice in the new experiment all the way up to humans. the 2 long teeth are fangs for poison :)
Why would that be necessary exactly??!! We’re very civil animals, we never fight with our teeth, we it extremely soft foods like cooked meat we can’t eat raw very chewy bc our teeth are crap and always will be and we have a low ph level consentration Infact it’s no acception that our teeth will be much shorter in the future
@@boiwitfacts1796 also, not to be contentious but "no acception for a fang change" Implies you have a magical view of the future. All it would take is one hard-core change in environment of which there are many looming multitudes of upcoming changes, these multitudes are looming for our teeth to change shape by need. Assuming our canines will get shorter is assuming that in a thousand years we won't be struggling for survival on a dying planet. Which, is the more likely result. You're welcome😁.........had to edit that, we meant to use the word exception, not acception 😅
People find my fangs cute, which I agree I used to be so insecure about my fangs cause they located where my eyes are (eye teeth) they are known as canines, I scare people by telling them that I'm a vampire and will bite them if they piss me off or if I'm hungry and want blood
@@furanafriendszuentertainme2785 k your incorrect because first of all during adrenaline there isn’t no instincts your body tries to be strong as it can run super fast not become tired and not feel pain
I hear you on that one. Biting your own tongue can be so painful ! Maybe some humans bite their tongue because they chew on something too fast. I know what I’m talking about because it happened to me several times.
Plot twist were vampires or wolves who became mortal once we ate the Apple of Eden ( I think thats what it's called) and it was god potraying as the devil potraying as a snake for us to become pure again
