Cheers to leveling up!! I moved to New York when I was 19 to pursue my dreams. I sold my car, paid for a one-month sublet, and told myself "I've got a month to figure it out." Fast forward 5 years later, and I figured it out! On a bittersweet note, I am actually moving to LA in two weeks to continue living out my dreams. 😅 It will be bittersweet. There's nowhere like New York. It is my forever home.

I agree with the normality of content creation in NY. I was there last summer, having a photoshoot for my friend (she designs bridal and event dresses) and people were so chill about us taking pictures, they ever cheered for us and said we were doing a great job.

We're the same age and I feel like you're going into your "mature glam girl" era in NYC 🥰 I also did the move to another state thing last year to Miami from NYC and I cried, I challenged myself, and I was in the trenches for a lot of that time but I learned a lot about myself and I don't regret the experience. I'm back in NYC tho 😅 I'm a designer so this place is my creative space.

...Interesting. From an influencer perspective, I see many moving to New York because LA is over filmed and there's nothing left to post so New York is the next best exciting thing. I’m from Ukraine and I previously lived in Kyiv, the capital. And I always wanted to live there but because of the full-scale invasion I had to leave my fav city in the world. Now it’s safer there but I’m still scared because of what happened, and you just can’t believe that in your hometown such bad things can happen. Last year I lived in Berlin with my country in my thoughts every day and was back to Ukraine to Uzhhorod where I have never been before. Just because it’s safe. I’m not sure if I am here forever but I agree with Eva that it’s like personal challenge, you learn and move forward☺️💪🏼 The world is your oyster😌✨

Wowowow this was SO relatable! My husband and I have been traveling around the US trying different cities to decide where we want to live. We are originally from Seattle and we tried LA and also New York. We have chosen NYC for these exact same reasons!! Everything you said I have said to our family and friends so many times to explain our decision 🤣A walkable city, distinct seasons, inspiration and energy, and the culture around creating and freedom to be exactly who you are. I would love to just get up and move to Asheville NC because it’s sooo beautiful! I moved to Colorado from FL and everyone thought I was crazy. Like you, I was also tired of having one season my entire life. I went to school in Boston and I was just fine. I had zero issues being in a cold climate. If I could handle the constant blizzards in Boston, I can handle CO and I’m doing just fine!

I live in AB Canada actually right near banff ❤ it’s a place people dream to live near or travel to…but what you said about hometowns and dreaming about what’s out there is SO true. My mom grew up living in NYC during her summers guest starring and training as the principal ballerina for Alberta ballet…and LET ME TELL YOU if she could move to NYC she would. I think she found and created the most beautiful life with us here though on the prairies in a small southern town..but I’m sure she still dreams. I for one incision myself in southern france one day and I HAVE to make that dream happen. Living out your dreams in a place that fuels you either creatively or healing your inner self is what makes your life worth living! I honestly believe if we don’t push ourselves to follow dreams we don’t see what this strange existence has in store for us, and our true potential for happiness. I live for the editing of this video 💫 As a Pole i can comfortably say we hate the winter here. We complain when it's snowing and when it's not but that just our thing I guess. I usued to love all the winter activities as a child but now I hate this season because of the air pollution and stuff.I think about moving to much bigger city this year. I don't have enough money yet but hopefully I can manage the move cause I'm sick of my hometown and tbh I would rather live with my besties than my family.

I am a six & a half hour drive from NYC. Been looking at jobs & places I might wanna live there for some of the same reasons. I am ready to just be happy & carve out a new life of my own. I am at the point where every other day I am thinking about dropping everything to just GO if the opportunity comes to me. I don't even have much to drop..I am that ready lol.

Ummm there is a saying about Cali girls and living outside of California. I LOVED living in NYC. You are right about creativity. People don’t even care lol. The funny part is when a stranger walks up and says do you need me to take the picture for you? I was the SKINNIEST I have ever been because I walked every where! I think you are already in a better situation because you don’t have to work a 9-5. The way you are doing it is the best way. Go, live, explore. People have to remember “where ever you go there you are”. When I was doing Broadway, I did sooooooo much in NYC.
