When I was told I had to go on the computer and make an appointment for the church to pray for someone in my family I made up my mind that it really wasn't for me. The church before this, the Pastor was supposed to come to my house because of some serious issues going on in our lives and he kept putting us off because he was more interested in going to meetings to get money to build a big huge church. Then one of the ladies we went to church with got quite nasty with my 8 year old Granddaughter. That was it for me. I read my Bible. I Pray. I have been saved and Baptized. The Good Lord knows I love him and believe in him with all my heart. That's what matters.

I am in agreement with you. Totally. You have to be discerning - that’s why God gave us a brain, my momma used to say. Thank you for being strong enough to be honest with everyone - I believe the Good Lord is truly proud of you for it.

When my great granny got sick at like 85, before my time…she could not attend any longer but a member 50 years. They would do a service in her back yard weekly on the farm, bring food, preach then fellowship after. Was a different time

I really Don't care what church you go to.. That's between you and God..NO CHURCH IS going to get you into Heaven.. Asking for forgiveness of your sins, Accepting Jesus as your Lord and savior does not require a church building....Believe in your HEART That Jesus is Lord and he rose from the dead.. THATS ALL between you and God and NONE else's business. 💯

I had someone from a church ask me to pray once, out loud. He said, "You can tell a lot about a person by the way they pray." Appalled by his audacity, I replied, "I'm sorry but I was taught that prayer is between you and God." Or something like that, I can't remember quite exactly but close enough. As the youth these days say, big yikes. Edit: Forgot to mention, this happened when I caved to pressure to reach out to a "great church" for help. He didn't want to help after I refused his request but even if he had, I wouldn't have accepted. My beliefs are not for sale.

I had myself baptized at 23. I did start attending church at about my early 20's. I am 54 now, and no longer go to church. It's greed that made me leave. I felt like I was being given a sales pitch at church by a sleazy used car salesman. I understand their are bad pastors out there. But my second experience left me pissed. I joined another church and the paster wanted to send someone to my home to interview me and my then husband. I welcomed the idea, thinking they wanted to get to know us and see if we were interested in helping the community. Nope. He wanted to review our finances to suggest and appropriate amount to be donated to the church. Well. I told him to get his ass outta my house! And that moment was the end of church for me. I can be faithful, spirtual, and live a loving life without visiting a church.

It's been several years since I've been to church on a regular basis. I "tithe" by helping people in need. I love having a waiter or waitress and the Holy Spirit instructs me to give them a fifty or hundred dollar tip or someone's card in the grocery store doesnt work and I take care of it. I love your Chanel MD but believe although the Bible was written by man, it is %100 inspired by God and their words would not be included in the holy scriptures unless it were so. 2 Timothy 3:16 16 All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness: I do agree how some people translating the holy scriptures could twist the wording and meaning. I’ve heard the Chinese are rewriting the Bible in a completely correct manner.

Thank you for your wisdom and teachings about the churches. A corporate tax exempt 501c3 is not a church. We never attend these places of worship. We gather in small groups in homes or nature/outside, as a small remnant of truth seekers. We have tent/camping gatherings in the forests, parks, off grid with no electronic devices. The primitive gatherings with no phones, internet, or distractions. Just worship in nature. Pray for peace...

We feel the same way. Before the c19 virus, I had cancer. There were many who prayed for us and we are grateful for the prayers. But the true ministry to us was from the truckers my husband would see everyday. I will never forget that. In fact, one he only saw one day told him "She's got this! God is with her!" He never calls in the afternoon when working but did that afternoon and I could hear the tears in his voice. I need to hear that I was going to be okay and never looked back. Now that was true ministry. We have never really found a true church. We read "The Scriptures" and are looking at following Torah as Jesus did. There is a remnant that will do God's will and take a stand.

Amen M.D., amen! I absolutely agree with you - so many churches are full of hypocrites and pastors that are afraid to "get involved". I don't attend church any longer for those exact reasons. But- I know God loves me and I talk to Him all the time!😊

Preach it brother! I haven’t been to traditional church in 20 years! Yet I get up at 4 am to pray before working full time. We pray before eating! I thank the Lord throughout the day! The way you worshiped as a child is how God intended!

I used to go to this church and even help bringing vegetables to give away from a local store . at the end of the day what ever was left over it went to the dumpster. I asked the manager if I can give those vegetables to some people who can use them. The manager told me to give those people anything I want to give which it was nice of me to help them. The rumor started at the church that the HISPANIC IS STEALING THE VEGETABLES. I heard the rumor and went to the manager she told me not to pay attention to those gossepers and to keep doing what I was doing. Later a church member told me that if I wanted to keep doing this job I must cut my beard off I told him NO. Next thing I was kicked out

I cannot find a church anywhere that will talk about the important issues of the day, and I’ve visited a lot of churches. Why are so many pastors so resistant to talking about the pressing issues? I’ve heard some say that they’re afraid of losing their tax exempt status, like you said. I’ve also heard that some pastors may be afraid of losing tithers. I sometimes feel like I can’t find any real Christians anywhere, even though I live in America. The American church is nothing like the church in the book of Acts.

I was so happy to find a Baptist church back in April who's Pastor said all the things he should be saying. Sadly he just retired last week. 😢 now on the hunt for another brave pastor who will lead his flock accordingly.

While I attend church I get where you are coming from. We left our church of 10 years when they did what ever they were told for the vid. Our new church is pretty in your face about a lot of things. To the point that it upsets people and they leave for lukewarm churches. Its too bad things always get so twisted when it comes to our relationship with God. Years ago church was in our homes or very small buildings, its supposed to be personal. Stay blessed!

Md I totally relate to what you're saying. I was raised a catholic and live as a minority in my new homeland. Exactly the same. I've come to worship better in the middle of nowhere or alone in an isolated chapel. Our churches are our hearts and our outreach period.

Hey man, ya' gotta' keep tryin' I'm 60 and just 3 years ago I found a church that I even wanted to be a member of. It was a whole lot of churches along the way too. I have long hair, have pretty much my whole life, I smoke, and I was not raised in a church family. Quite the opposite. So maybe you can imagine some of the flack I got. I would give up for a while, discouraged, and then eventually I would start looking for other places to try again. I go to a little country church, called "Country Bible Church". It's a small church, maybe a couple hundred members, at most, guessing. Non denominational. Pastor preaches from the Bible. He reads from NKJ, but I have a NLT, and nobody has ever said anything about what Bible I'm reading, or about my hair or that I smoke. I haven't even gotten any funny looks from anyone, IN OVER 3 YEARS. I was baptized in a small local lake in the summer, after my first year here, and applied for membership after my 2nd year, and now past 3 years. It took a long time, and a whole lot of discouragement to get here, but honestly I'm glad I kept tryin', not that it was so hard to get here. But if I would have totally given up, and not started looking again, I never would have found this place. "I drove past this church for over a year, procrastinating, thinking "I should maybe try there and see what it's like." Then after going here awhile, I wished I would've started going way back when I was thinking I should check it out over a year earlier. Anyways, I do completely understand and agree with what your meanin' tho, 100%. Maybe my experience might give you a little encouragement to start maybe lookin' again.. Either way, God Bless. And ultimately, it's not a building that's God's house, His church. His church is His people literally. So, I think you're just fine not going to a building. God knows your heart. The Bible does say that we are supposed to gather together, but that could mean as little as two. "............. when two or more are gathered in My name.............."

Instead of tithing we decided to help out a single mom of two kids. Gave them a house free of rent, electricity, gas, water and about $400 a month of household stuff from Amazon. This went on for 6 1/2 years. She got into drugs, moved in her sister and boyfriend. We agreed to help her not the sister and boyfriend. We thought we were doing a good thing but she never got through school in 6 1/2 years. I tithe to gold coins now and stack them. And ammo. 😂😂

I've been watching an online church going on 10 years now. It is the Word of Life Johnson City (WOLJC), out of Tennessee. Pastor Donny Reagan is one of those preachers that tells it like it should be told.

Well said! I don't feel so alone in that I feel the exact same. I gave up searching in person for a church a long time ago. I read my Bible and I "talk to God" all the time, mostly giving gratitude for my blessings and asking for His protection and guidance. I feel and see God in action in my life and in the lives of others all the time! I have gone to many online services and recently found a preacher who isn't afraid to speak the truth! Finally!! He impressed me one recent Sunday by telling the congregation to prepare for the hard times coming and said he didn't care if it upset someone, they needed to be upset! Amen!!! There is a vast majority of the church of the Lord Jesus in America much like you. The early church wasn't anything more than what you explained.. Where two or more are gathered together in the lords name.. He promised to be in the midst of it.. It's all about a PERSONAL relationship with Christ. What denomination is about like different pedigrees of dogs looking down on each other.. None of us are anything outside of him. Draw close to the lord, and he will be there..

I haven't gone for quite sometime either, with one of my main issues being how the church wasn't talking at all about what is going on in the world, and warning people. So I completely understand your feelings about that!!

AMEN! God is calling many people out of the church “system” because of the lukewarmness. You are exactly right, they refuse to confront sin or talk about anything controversial. There is going to be so much blood on many of their hands.

Church is in your heart, not in a building.

The best Bible out there is the 1611 version, which is the one used and is the basis of the King James translation. All the others out there have omissions (missing verses entirely) that change or obscure the intent of the surrounding passages. Some words in other translations are changed to similar words but do not have the same meaning, leaving verses or whole chapters up to interpretation of the reader. OK, so that is out of the way. Next we have government operatives posing as preachers, pastors, ministers, etc. that are specifically meant to mislead or destroy the church congregation. Yes, they have been around probably starting in the 50's or 60's and is documented, and there are a load more of them already in place than you would think. Many churches have been infiltrated. If your pastor didn't advise against the "thing" a couple years ago, you need to take a closer look at them.

Folks need to remember denominations are man made, NOT God made. What difference does it make??? None as far as I am concerned. So many churches are only concerned with how many members or how big there money ministry is or the size of their parking lot. I'm not a member of any church. My relationship is with Jesus Christ. For me that's what matters.

Good evening creekmore. I've been through the same struggles/ questions as you. Here's what I've learned. The preacher is there to bring and promote God's kingdom. Not the kingdom of the world with all its politics, jabs and endless quibbling and arguments. We have all week to fight the kingdom of the world battles. The church should promote unity within God's kingdom. The Bible tells us theres two very different and distinct kingdom's. Jesus said give unto ceaser what is ceasars Second, we go to church to worship God. When we start looking at the "hypocrites" around us we're no longer focusing on God which is why we are there. Let God deal with and judge the hypocrite. . I still struggle with this even though I know what I'm supposed to do. Third, if you believe God created the world, the mountains, the sun, moon, stars, and ocean's, I have to believe he was able to inspire kings, and other men to write his word down for us in a book just exactly how he wanted. It would have been an easy task by comparison to creation. Finally, it's not always easy to find a good church. I drive an hour and a half to get to mine if that's any indication. My wife is fond of telling me that if I ever find a perfect church not to go to it because I'll ruin it. Church can be a big blessing in many ways. Praying for you. God bless

Churches does help some that are lost , but GOD lives in all of us and we really don't need a time place or a building to reflect or be thankful

I stopped going to church as both churches I tried didn't like my autistic son. I haven't been back in 10 years. I do read my Bible though.

I am right there with you brother! Where two or more are gathered in His name. I taught my children God watches us 24/7/365 not just for an hour or two while we are in a special building. My kids are now 32 (twins), 29 and 25 and I still get compliments of how kind and helpful they are; makes my momma's heart proud. Instead of tithing we put food in blessing boxes for needy families. We volunteer and help when and where we can. I am a do as I do parent so I started them early with helping hand out blessing bags to homeless, working in soup kitchens, donating new coats for kids in the fall, donating things to battered womens shelters etc. The Bible as it stands now isn't what was originally written. Too many folks changed it to fit their wishes and then you have the translation issue where again it's changed. I do my best to stick to the 10 commandments and just be kind and helpful. We each have to walk our own path to walk and I know He walks with me always. Many blessings to you M.D. Don't worry about the haters.

We don't go to a 501c3 church either anymore. Most are social hour, we are not young here. Total agreement with you. We are not part of the "ecumenical" movement. The road is narrow.

I am so sick of hearing people who put rules on going Heaven and what constitutes a Christian that God Himself doesn't have. Except Jesus as your Lord and Savior is the one thing. It sure sounds like these people who make up all these rules are not only saying God's word isn't the final authority, but also what Jesus did for us wasn't enough.

I can't help but say this... The King James Version would be the equivalent of having a Joe Biden version of the Bible today. Everything is distorted by man in order to serve his own desires. I disagree in your saying that man wrote the Bible Holy Spirit wrote the Bible through man. Just like God saved man through Jesus becoming a man. God always partners with us. But, man often manipulates when they can and that's where the evil one bastardized what he can. If the church teaches and the preacher preaches what Holy Spirit directs, then there is no room for anyone to be aggravated but how often does that happen. One thing for sure, I am not attending where the church either ran scared during the scam or celebrate halloween with their trunk or treat. You can have church in your homes. There were no First Baptist Churches in the Bible. Dont go off on the deep end on things that Holy Spirit isn't leading on or are your own bright ideas. Some people try to speak for God on prepping and that's all they can get their mind on. Then there are others that totally ignore such altogether and try to say you cant preach "politics" when the whole crucifixion and most of the stories conveyed in the Bible had to deal with politics . Again, the answer is abiding in Holy Spirit and following Him; not your agenda nor mine.

How refreshing to hear your views on church! Myself, I think it does a lot of people good but I don't attend. Church is a support group and my faith is strong enough that I don't need a support group. Churches get a lot of things wrong, in my opinion. And no one believes me when I tell them about the King James version. What kind of parent sends their child to eternal punishment?! A lot of people in my town act like "oh you can just go to any church in the county and you'll be accepted just fine, there's no excuse not to go." In reality if you walked into a random church uninvited, especially being a man by yourself it'll be very awkward and at first people will kind of make a circle around you, which is understandable. It's just difficult to make yourself want to go through all that awkward stuff on Sunday or just stay at home and do your church day and praying privately.

I have been a Christian all my life. Member of a church, tithed weekly, ended up in hospital, two blood transfusions, and never had a visit from church or members of the church. Havent been to church since then. I have the lord in my heart, and speak with God everyday.

Hey Brother, had to drop a line on this one! I surely wish you lived near me and could go to my church! We are family, I’m closer to them than my actual family. We are also MAG, my Pastor regularly informs us(although I usually know most of it) about current issues, warned of the jab, and even doesn’t believe “tithe” is New Testament Biblical, we do prefer The KJV, but it is not a sin to use another, King James really had little to do with it, he brought in 47 theologians who took many many months of deciphering, prayer, arguments etc. to get the best they could, even down to periods, commas, capital letters etc. any new version is just done to get copyright status so they can profit, the KJV is the only one not copyrighted. We are likeminded, no dress up competition, non denominational, we welcome anyone. Also you will never find the perfect church because we are not perfect! As far as hypocrisy, I still go to work, stores etc. and they’re all filled with hypocrites because “truth” we are ALL hypocrites to some extent! Love Ya Brother!

Correct. Most churches avoid social issues to avoid protests or to avoid loss of membership. Hard to find one that doesn’t. I don’t go to church. But I have my own relationship with God.

Christ is within. I totally believe Jesus will make himself known to those who have never even seen a bible. You just have to slow down and talk to people and be kind. God puts people in your path. Church is the body of Christ, I'm always in Church. 501c3 now becomes federal property. Those temples are for lost and save ppl which contradicts scriptures. Do not be unequally yoked with unbelievers. Light and darkness don't mix. Acts ch.7 48-49 and ch. 19 of Acts God says, what house can you build me. Philemon 1 says thy church in thy house. I quit going to church many years ago for a lot of the reasons you mentioned. Most, preachers and church goers are hypocrites. People in church fight like cats, it socializing and gossiping. Don’t here anybody talking bout the Ten Commandments. Plus I don’t go along with church doctrines, it’s fundamentalist black and white, any thing outside of that not acceptable. Me too! Jesus is Lord over my life. But I will not be held in bondage by a social club that puts my Lords name on Halloween and every other pagan holiday and call it Christian. We are the Church. Hey M.D. I guarantee you I won’t rip you a new one.😂😂 I am in a very similar situation as you. One thing that stuck out to me in your video was you talking about people saying that you have to obey the government no matter what. That idea is a gross misinterpretation, and misrepresentation of that idea that is presented, I believe in Romans 13. The most important thing that most people miss in those scriptures is the fact that it says to obey the government as long as they do not contradict Gods laws. And as we can see clearly, those of us that are awake, that the gov. as of late has clearly been doing just that.

I agree with the Halloween thing. Every church in my town does this. Biggest event of the year...yet if Christmas falls on Sunday....church closes.

Im a southern baptist. And quit going to church. My dad died. The church never came to help me or see me. Than my 2 sisters died. All i heard was people talking bad. Spreading rumers. Still no one brought me dinners or visited me. My mom died and my last sister died. I stopped way before that. I dont go. I do read the bible every sunday. My dad never went. And always said just go talk to god under a tree. I do pray. I will never stop praying. And i will always have hope. Hope for america. Hope for our president trump. Christianity has been pretty "deconstructed" over the past decade (or longer really) there is so much noise and so many "Christians" who just want their ears tickled and not really want hear the Word of God. Many churches just entertain the good folks who attend without ever speaking a word of scripture in the entire service. While we cannot truly know the hearts of others, we can witness the fruit of their faith. Churches are full of the lost, sadly. We are called to be "the church" as a community, but you're right that doesn't have to be a physical building - it's the other Christ followers you are in community with. I believe the Bible is God's holy word to us, for us to learn from and to share with others. It's how God speaks to us, how we learn/gain wisdom and discernment - it teaches us what it means to follow Christ. Not that you would, but continue in the Word and never let others detract you from knowing Christ fully and from the faith. God bless.

Brother.... i stopped going to church as well. Still a strong believer in our Lord Jesus Christ and His gospel. I visited a church last week and was refreshed on the reason why i stopped. I will always take the opportunity to tell others about Salvation through Christs death, burial, and his resurrection. The church attendance has declined by 60% since the 1970s. Tithing is not even a part of the new covenant church. Paul squared away the new covenant church on giving in 2 Corinthians chapter 8-9. It states giving is of the heart and not out of obligation. I will get some hate comments for that..... I wrote a book called the Ambassadors Call by Gregory Addie. I share my salvation 3rd heaven experiance and what the Holy Spirit has taken me through in my 38 years of walking with Jesus outside of the 4 walls of the church. IT IS FREE ON KINDLE. I don’t go for similar reason. Too much political influences for many churches today. I’d rather speak directly to God through his Son Jesus in prayer. I didn’t have a church with me praying in a fox hole or cement bunker or sandbag when fighting in Panama in 1989 or The Gulf War in 1991. God showed up himself and protected me and my men under me. Direct prayer also helped me during “peacekeeping” in the Bosnian Civil War 1995. Folks God asks us to come boldly to His throne to prayer. You can still have fellowship with God without going to a church or through other men. Try it!!

You are wrong about the K.J.V.. It is God's word, not just similar. The bible was written by holy men of God were moved by the Holy Ghost. Explain it away as much as you want, but God ordains the powers that be. Beeare of limiting God any more than you already have.

Don't give up going to church,. You have just chosen the wrong one! My dad was sort of like you. He went to church regularly until his first wife was killed. When he remarried my mom he stopped attending church but, he prayed twice a day usually for about 3/4 of an hour. He died when I turned 18. I always wonder if he is in heaven because, he never went to church in my lifetime. Stop worrying about people and concentrate on God. I attend a seventh day Adventist church, (WE ATTEND CHURCH ON SATURDAY). there are many churches and denominations and bibles. Whatever you do don't give up on the lord Jesus christ!

The verse, among others, of the Bible that made me a non-believer is 1st John 5, verses 7-8. Commonly called the “Johannine Comma”. This is the verse that all Christianity is based on. It makes Jesus a God. The problem is that all the thousands of scrolls before that do not say that. It is an obvious “gloss” made by scribes for whatever reason. I pray to God. Only him. Period.

We used to have church in our home when I was a young girl. The churches I've been to in the past 10 years aren't about gathering to worship God but for a show (just like you said). I've not been to church in 2 or 3 years because it's gotten to be more of a hinderence than a help. It's so discouraging.

Up until very recently, I lived in the Upper Midwest. We had a LOT of different religions up there, including (obviously) Christianity. That said, we also had a LOT of different denominations of Christianity. It was rather a buffet. Well, we moved down South not too long ago and it is next to impossible around here to find a church that isn't some form of Baptist or Pentecostal. "Not that there's anything wrong with that." (Yes, that's a Seinfeld reference lol) The denomination I'm from is few and far between here, as it is neither of those. We have had so many people invite us to churches around here but I just...I'm not interested. My denomination isn't what it used to be and I don't quite fancy these other ones either. Not by a long shot. Sorry but no thank you. Anyway, when people find out we don't go to church (I keep the reasons to myself), it's like slapping a big red letter A to my forehead. Like you, I've noticed what most churches these days are. Like you, I'm content to stay out of them. I miss the hymns, the smell, the sense of belonging, and all the rest of it, but I cannot bring myself to attend them in order to keep someone's interpretation of a Commandment.

My church turned into a show off,look at me type deal and they never talked about what is going on and what we should do in modern day and modern day issues..Church was just repeat and ignore whats going on in the country and world! Furthermore,our Pastor got caught doing cocaine and messing with prostitutes! That was it!! Pray at home and help others in need is what we do...

What goes om between a man and his creator is no one elses need to know. It is a privacy no man should violate. The church is non physical. I was lucky enough to find time and even funding to study.many different religions and their earliest environments. My personal opinion is that todays so called evangelicals have only Sunday School knowledge as presented to them by men of mostly same knowledge levels. Have good aquaintence with a man who graduated from most prestigious Bible College who then got a teaching position at another college. He quit in disgust because he told of how and why Bibles, yes plural, compared to other people's writings.

My understanding is that there was more Books in the Bible than what we have now. That some scholars removed some of those books.

I pray and read my bible. I do not go to church. People are mean in the church sometimes. I rather just be close to Jesus on my own. I dont need those people to hurt me.

Judgement is here and judgement starts in the house of God. Sadly, we have no ears to hear or eyes to see what the Spirit is saying to the church. We are too busy playing church! We are experiencing the birth pangs related in the book of Revelation and most Christians have no clue what that is or looks like or where we are headed. The Day Of The Lord is near and they do not fear what is coming. People want preachers to tickle their ears and not mention sin and repentance. The church is preaching a warm and fuzzy, false gospel. God will not be mocked! I do have to disagree with you on the author and authenticity of the Bible which is inspired solely by the Holy Spirit who used man to write it down. The Word of God remains true, infallible and able to correct and reprimand man from generation to generation. There is one Word given to man under the sun and one name in which we can be saved. There is a curse to anyone who so much as changes a dot of God’s Word. While it has been translated many times to many languages it remains the truth, the life and the way. The Word of God is our daily bread and it is alive and sharper than a double edge sword. I don’t mean to preach but I must bring to mind and consideration that “Every word of God proves true, He is a shield to those who take refuge in Him. Every word of God is flawless…Proverbs 30:5

I think the Holy Spirit led people to write the Bible. We obey God first. If our president disobeys God , we obey God. Scripture teaches this. All scrolls found agree with each other?

Wow. Boy did you hit the nail on the head!!! I went through the same thing. I no longer attend church, and I am conscious of what these people actually are. They are groupies of the pastor. If he is away for the weekend, the attendance DROPS to about 20 - 25% of regular attendees! Thanks for a great YT post. the Bible has been manipulated by man to suit his desires.

Ya had hair back then lol. I agree with you man, lots of churches are Laodicea now. The good book said it is coming. I feel better since I left the church and I was on the board. They were too far out there for me. I have two degrees in bible studies. I like my understaning not a bunch of whackos.
