So the men in the show slaughtering each other in cold blood doesn't get questioned, but God forbid that the Queen slaps her subordinate to put him in his place.
Because male on female violence is a big no no and rightfully condemned so female on male violence makes people uncomfortable too. When men and women hit each other it causes too many problems. It's best we don't ever put hands on each other.

No …. She was starting to be looked at as a softy cause she tried to hold back as long as she could , and tried to avoid going to war , and they were starting to question her. So she slapped the shit out of dude and put him back in check. She was just reminding him that she’s not that softy they were thinking she was.

He was right about sending rhaenys alone and a knight trying to claim a dragon but he should've discussed it at an appropriate time. King or Queen shouldn't be laying hands on those that are loyal to them or else they shouldn't be surprised by betrayal.
He was right, sending Meleys alone was stupid, having one of your best and loyal knights claim a dragon, without knowing what was needed, was stupid and cost them. Yep , mean yes he was talking down on her too much but he was literally saying he is willing to still go and meet another lord and then go and retake Rooks Rest back from the Greens which is somewhat vital as Cole pointed out as she is completely trapped from the mainland with no where to deploy troops from and is having to rely on the other regions instead, surprising tbf that they have not just decided to up and leave her so far as the war so far is at a loss for them with no army and land part from a tiny section of Crackclaw point where Lord Celtigar is from and Daemon having a haunted castle tour with no luck getting the Riverlords to help yet ,the Winter Wolves are still in the north gathering and moving slowly, the Vale has not committed either but trying to leave it all to dragons only or wishful thinking.
She didn't want to send Meleys and Rhaenys to their deaths. She wanted to go by herself. It was a selfless act by a ruler to show her worth but Rhaenys insisted she must be the one to go. Rhaenys could have escaped after she completely wrecked Aegon and Sunfyre but she made the conscious decision to turn back and confront Vhagar head on, knowing that she would lose. So it was actually Rhaenys' own fault that she died. Rhaenyra didn't tell anyone about her plan to sneak into King's Landing to meet with Alicent because she knew they would try to stop her but as Queen she knew it was something she had to do. She needed to exhaust all other avenues to prevent war and unnecessary bloodshed whereas all the men around her were more than happy to slaughter each other. This was in spite of the fact that the Greens had already murdered her son. And yet, time and again, y'all keep saying that she's the mad and bloodthirsty one. As for Darklyn, she told him that it was a huge risk. She did so in front of the entire council but he himself insisted that he wanted to give it a shot. Also the ones who gave her the idea to find more dragon riders were Jace and Daemon. It was never her idea in the first place. Nobody's saying that she's perfect but the fact that you people think that the men could have made better decisions than her shows your prejudice against her.
She shouldn't have slapped him but that doesn't make her violent. Yes he was trying to help but he was talking to his queen as if she was his teenage daughter. He was being patronizing as everyone in this council are patronizing to Rheanyra one way or another no matter how much loyal they are and that's affecting her ability to have the influence a ruler needs. Rheanyra just made a wrong somewhat violent move out of despair for not being treated right because she's a woman. Slapping someone and feeding someone to your dragon is not the same.

Why is madness only associated with the Targaryens? Has Ramsay Bolton or Euron Greyjoy or Cersei or Tywin or Jaime or the Mountain or Ellaria Sand or Walder Frey ever been called mad for their cruelty? There are so many characters that have shown the capacity to be cruel and ruthless but somehow some people think the Targaryens are always the worst.

Is Daemons arc not supposed to be about him learning not to be so destructive and rash. For him to become a more mature soldier and semi decent human. Whatever that looks like for Daemon. I thought these arcs were about the two of them going down different paths.

Problem i have with the show is the characters aren't the same and the story isnt very impactful to me characters are foolish and power-hungry everybody wants a piece of the iron throne....the books tell you clearly ... is daemon really that unpredictable or dangerous ruthless guy in the books... even his actions are indecisive he supposed to be better.. how will aemond truly be angry if he not impatient and foolish by being as otto said "you only lost one eye how could you be so blind" and like haelena character how will she go mad if the blood nd cheese scene went downhill because it wasnt enough trauma on her in the books they played with her mind and made her choose and she offered her own life and they told her she is not a son if she didn't choose they threatened her daughter told her choose a son and haelena at least tried fooling them but they killed the opposite child she didn't choose who was the heir .. this was more impactful for me. In the show she doesn't offer her own life or try fooling them so they don't at least take the heir but the show wanted her to have dreams of these events and she accepted his death instead of feeling guilty about choosing her youngest son maelor and traumatized not only because the heirs death but the mind games they played on her.. they way they told her youngest " your mom chose you to die" and they kill the othr son this is more trauma how does alicent feel about starting a war over a mishearing of words the dumbest thing for me 🤔is this war being started not because of jealousy and they want the throne in their line alicent wanted to keep power which is why i love what she getting by being dismissed by her middle child but then rhaenyra sueing for peace the whole usurpation and afterward lucerys death she does say something along the lines but that is later... the characters are minimized in my opinion and the war don't mean much to me at this point I'm watching to see the dragons I have no clue what the story will turn into 😅 but so far I've been a little disappointed ever since they made viserys illness worse make alicent and rhaenyra friends and alicent is a sweet and calmely girl and rhaenyra just soft as cushons daemon has loyal man unto him more important than the ones he trying to raise he the most dangerous in westeros or supposed to but aemond looking like a calculated strategic I see why they cut that word of otto because they have no intentions of following the books they gone switch character arcs, combine characters, or minimize them to own pov..
team green is the rightful heir. Male preference over succession is dominant all over the world specially during medieval age. in comparison, England who has long track of succession only amend this in 2011 (very recent).
