Heusinkveld is a company in my Provence, Groningen. One day i will work there in the assembly line.. its one of my dreams. Every time i tried to apply for the job offer it was already taken, but i am not giving up! Niels Heuskinkveld looks and sounds like a awesome guy to work for and with. One day my friends, one day!
Goddammit I need that shifter, I’ll even take the prototype with the mis shifts. But, it’s what we’ve come to expect from Niels, always a perfectionist!
I like honest interviews like this. There is no need to withhold information like this most of the time. If anything it shows the dedication and the high standards of this company.
I agree, it's great that they're being so open about it. I didn't expect him to go into the specifics of what they didn't like about it, but there we go. I have to say though, I do disagree. I wasn't getting stuck between the gates or anything. Still wish they had released it like it was.
It’s very nice to see a company just remove a product from site until it is ready. Unlike some other companies (read fanatec) who boast about their new product being the next best thing and it’s ready, its here, it’s available. For pre order that is, never to be actually seen by anybody for months even years. And full of problems when it does. Praise for Heusinkveld!
@@travislu3748 The gas and clutch feel like my road car only with more resistance like you would expect from a race car with a heavy clutch. The brake is very very firm, it's almost like pushing up against a brick wall with your feet after the first cm of travel. My road car has more travel than that but a true race car doesn't because travel = delay in braking. Race drivers want an extremely firm pedal. The sprints have pad to disc travel with zero resistance, that's (by default) 50% the only travel the brake has. I love my sprints but allow yourself a few days to get used to the loadcell if you don't have a loadcell at the moment, it feels really strange in the beginning, it took me 10-15 hours to get a good feel for it.
It was made out of the same steel they use on their pedals. No idea why that would wear out quickly its decent quality. There where probaly some other problems with it. Niels Heusinkveld is a perfectionist.. thats why the pedals are so damn good!
@@whirlybirdrc yeah he is go great his handbrake has tons of side to side play, cheap ass wooden handle you can't change, and the cheap ass power box that the arduino board rattles inside. Over priced shit
Nothing is entirely perfect!......but you got lucky to be able to at least try one of the Prototypes.....I wish they would have tried to produce one just in stand alone H pattern mode not a combo, but like Neils said he didn't want nor have the time to swap one out, well that's his decision I guess, plus its a lot of work to get a product to market that stands up to what one has already created, I can see he didn't want to release what might have been a sub par product or one that would/might not have recovered the development costs as the world is ever changing towards the Sequential Shifter in real time anyways!
I just got the SHH shifter, now ailogs in also working on a H-pattern and if that’s as good as their sequential shifter that might be my pick for a serious shifter.
@@TheSimChannel I PM'ed them on Reddit, they are working towards a release but it will take a long time before they release it. Don't expect it in 2019, maybe 2020? No date was given to me.
