could you explain more about the ART sister brand in china? i saw it online recently and was guessing there was affiliation due to the stark similarities in design and offerings. is it something you can review/recommend also? (i am not able to find any useful info on ART online)
Hi looking to get a second hand one on ebay but he has talen the seat for his new rig . Can i just get a new seat and bolt on or do i need the Simulator mounting plate on Gt omege's site £49.95 ? cheers james
Quick question, you can put the same sliders for the seat on the pedal deck? Or is this some sort of crazy mod? Because this would make my life so easy for when I have people come over
I'm not up to date on the prices for used Pros in Austria, but the Pros are still a good pedal set today (much better than anything Fanatec or Thrustmaster for example). 500 Austrian dollars is like 300 EUR so that does indeed sound like a good price if the set is in decent condition. Software wise there's "DI View" (I think that was the name), you should find documentation on it on the Heusinkveld website. It's not the same as for the Sprint and Ultimate+, doesn't look at nice, but you set it and forget it.
@@enginefreak93 Ah. HS-8M (predecessor to the HS-8) and I believe this was the stand: www.thomann.de/intl/millenium_bs_1208.htm I have since upgraded to IK Multimedia iLoud MTMs, which are better and smaller, albeit a little more expensive.
I don't use the simulator much anymore to be honest, but yeah, the integrated mount makes for the best positioning of the screen, keeps everything compact. And it's the ideal solution for motion rigs as well. I still recommend it, unless one is looking for more vertical FOV.
I'm installing mine now and it's worse than installing a normal seat slider on a chair because you can't get your hand to slide the slider bracket easily with the p1x pedal plates in the way. I have the slider now, it's engaging, but it won't slide. I'm hating this thing already.
I'm not sure I follow. The handle for the slider sticks out far and wide in my direction on mine. You may be able to resolve the situation by flipping over the handle so it bends down instead of up?
I’m going for the triple mount. Would I be able to position the screens so they site just in front of the wheel base? So they sit between the wheel and wheel base if you get what I mean
What is the maximum height above ground for the seat (IOW how far from the ground can my butt be) with these feet? I’m currently trying to calculate whether it’s feasible to leave my monitor on my desk instead of mounting it to a rig (my desk is height adjustable).
i'm replacing mine with casters that have ratchet on them that cause them to also have rubber feet. I have to move my rig around a lot to utilize space in my basement, will see how that goes. My GT1EVO is using sim lab's caster wheels (8) with 4 locks on the corners, but I would have liked to raise their height more with the p1x feet, I guess mine will go unused.
There is no "too big". I used to run 60" at 80cm distance and am now running 49" (G9) at 80cm distance. Resolution can become low if it's not a 4k screen or similar, but there is never a "too big".
So would you say 10Nm is the max power dd wheel base you would use on this? 12Nm is a bit too much yeah? Also i would love it if you did this review for other wheel stands like the NLR 2.0 etc. I just want the most rigid wheel stand money can buy so i can get the most powerful DD wheelbase possible without flex.
I just got my prime so I was looking at reviews and all the flexy things illustrated here have been solved on any unit you buy in 2023. So buy with confidence this cockpit is excellent and has actually zero flex
as long as the uprights (that the monitor mount is mounted to) aren't further apart on your rig than they are on the P1-X / Prime, they will fit. Narrower wouldn't be an issue, wider would require a longer cross-bar.
Why do we even use cockpit view in sim racing? In a game, if we don’t have real world constraints, then why not use that as an advantage to make up for the small monitors we use (relative to real world). Why not put the camera above the hood? From the cockpit, 75% of the screen is made useless by the dash and A Pillar. It’s complete nonsense. In “Eleven”, a VR table tennis simulator, you can spawn a new ball into your hand using a button, eliminating the worst aspect of real life table tennis: fetching the ball between play.
I've seen where Rseat has come come up with a full-width beam for the two leveling pads in the front and another one for the two in the rear. I expect that will catch on. If not it would be very easy to DIY fabricate that
It's not going too well. Mathematics, geometry, precision. The left to right FOV is not the Horizontal FOV, it's the Vertical FOV as it's an angle off of a vertical axis. So many people get this wrong... I made a drawing! www.mediafire.com/view/61pz1q77dsojf0h/Vertical_FOV_-_3.jpg/file
Just assembled my P1-X and really like it. I had to cut the seat profiles a little shorter for my Monstertech seat, but that wasn't too bad. Those bracket covers are a real PITA! It has to be one of the poorest designs I've ever seen. At this point, I'm thinking about gluing the damn things on. Just light enough to hold, but easy enough to get off when it's time to check and re-tighten the bolts.
I own a gt evo, and want to make a pseudo P1-x do you know the length and type of profile used for the long left and right pieces? As thats all I really need I think
@@TheSimChannel Ok measurements of the actual profile. Uprights and then the main peices. I picked up the used Inverted p1x pedal deck. So would think I need that and then the 2 sandwich plates for the uprights. The rest I can use from gt evo "I think " lol and thanks for response
@@jcsquared1111 main chassis beams are 1350mm long, the pieces in between are 500mm for a total chassis width of 580mm, and the uprights are 780mm long/tall. hope that helps!
Judging from the pictures on their website, the GT Elite has individually longitudinally adjustable pedal mounts, and then this should be mountable, yes.
That was a Mirco Race Gel GT, I have since switched to a black Mirco GT seat, very similar to the one they have listed on their website now. For a while it looked like they were going out of business, but the website is still up and running, with 3 different seat models available. I think the Mirco GT is a very good seat for the asking price, you should find a review here on the channel as well.
Great, thanks a lot. So the Mirco GT seems a got fit for you. May I ask how tall and heavy you are? I am 78 kg and 191 cm with a short Torso more like 185 cm Person. Mirco GT is high on my list. Sadly I can not try before I buy @@TheSimChannel
Thank you for this test. I'm about to buy a 12nm DD and had doubts my GT Omega Apex can deal with it. But as it seems it'll be a feasible option until I can build a proper 40/80 rig.
Thank you for this video. Being able to see the flex I suspected it would cause under braking has helped me to make the right decision for me which is to go without a slider.
Hey TSC you were one of the best sim channels out there on RU-vid. Miss you man. I hope you're well and if you are. Please get back into the game and make more videos. Gt omega sim lab products are soo much different now and your thoughts would be great if you can.
