Your absolutely right! My sister is consistently in relationships, one after an another and when I was younger I was exactly the same. When my last relationship ended I was devastated but I chose to feel the feelings and finally learn to be with myself. The faces changed but they were all the same and when we broke up I wouldn't learn anything. So each heartbreak was in vaine, brcause I would make the same mistakes everrytime. After choosing to stay single for a while I learned I didn't need the validation of anyone but me. I don't NEED a man, that's the biggest thing. With that being said I also learned that I can't change someone unless they choose to. That feeling of having a gaping hole deep inside can be filled, but it 1000% can't be with external possessions and validation from others. It needs to come from within&once you learn to love yourself, relationships are never the same. Not only did i learn to love me but my standards went up as well.

Not everybody gets cheated on. My husband's first wife cheated on him, but it was truly her loss because he is AMAZING!!!! A genuine father and husband, and a true gentleman. Even after 12 years of being together and 10 years of marriage, I melt every time I see him.

It's not just guys that do it. Girls do it too and this is coming from a girl, I've seen so many of my friends just lead guys on and then break their hearts or cheat like it's no big deal. It isn't about the gender, it's about the person.

For most guys, ideally they don't want to leave the relationship, they want the full benefit of that person's love and commitment, while hiding the fun they're having on the side. They even pat themselves on the back for never leaving that person (who doesn't have any idea they're being cheated on), maintaining their marriage, never hurting their feelings by letting them find out about the meaningless fun they're having.

I am taking charge of my life for myself and for my kids. Figuring out what I wanted to do was simple; but, doing the work is the real job and if you were not shown how to take care of yourself in this manner than this is the hardest most rewarding job you will ever have.
