Neil Patrick Harris has been known to play many memorable characters during his long and successful career. Way back in the late 80s and early 90s, he played the titular character on the hit tv show Doogie Howser, M.D.
Today, he is best remembered for playing Barney Stinson in the hit sitcom How I Met Your Mother. That being said, Stinson is not the most lovable TV character as he is a serial playboy who only cares for himself on his quest to seduce women.
Although Harris is nothing like his character, he still rubs some people the wrong way. Here is the real reason why some celebs can't stand Neil Patrick Harris.

I grew up loving him reading war books listening to me nan tell me about being evacuated...I can't ignore the truth. He was a crap sealord and Gallipoli was a mess if it's our troops you care about but the starvation of millions due to his inability to correctly lead (if we're being too kind which I will be for the benefit of those I want to reach) he certainly isn't the great man I thought he was. the funniest part is this has a general theme is most have more education than him. First is James Woods went to MIT, Rachel Bloom has a BFA from NYU, Patti LuPone has a BFA from Juilliard, Kevin Smith attended Vancouver Film School. Harris has none of those to lean on. As far as I'm concerned I have more formal acting training than him after taking a few theater classes in college while completing my three Associate Degrees before going on to a bachelor's program.

So I see commenters arguing that the celebrities clashing with Harris aren’t “relevant” as they are not as famous as him. That shouldn’t matter and should not be a factor in seeing if this celebrity is a “jerk” or not. However, still in every single argument I see no reason to believe NPH is at fault. Sure, he’s said some faulty things, but every single time he’s owned up to it and apologized. He defends himself as an actor, he defends his friends for their choice on how raise their child, I see no reason to like NPH any less. I don’t understand why videos like this need to be made as it just spews gossip and rumors to people who don’t deserve it. I guess I’m a hypocrite because I watched the video all the way through, but well, it just makes me love Neil Patrick Harris even more.

So in a nutshell: he made 2 not so clever tweets, accepted they were bad and apologized for it publicly. 2 guys talk crap to him, one even threatened him when he did nothing wrong and he responds to their crap properly. And then 1 woman who, as a very poor colleague, started insulting his work, his person and professionalism to which he reacted like any die hard professional person would. Seems to me he's still the nicest guy in Hollywood (right after Ryan Reynolds maybe) and this whole video is clickbait (it got me to look). Downvoted though for being garbage.
