Lucifer was an anointed cherub in Gods throne room (look to the Ark of the covenant with the 2 cherubs on top) much like Jesus an Arch angel but fell because of his desire to be like the most High God and dethrone Him. We as humans are simply a puzzle piece in Satans attempts to prove to God that he deserves to be God and not Jehovah. We gave over our dominion and rights to the devil and he is now the god of this world. Jesus was commanded to take back possession of the earth and His Elect that overcome the dragon. God could just destroy the devil, but in His perfect will, He is proving that He is God for a reason and no one is like Him.

There is no actual biblical timeline that puts his fall earlier than the fall of man. No time is specifically given in scripture. Psalm 104:4 seems to put the creation of angels on day 2. So his own rebellion is sometime after day 2. He is a guardian cherub and it is possible his job was to guard the trees, which is why he was there, and indeed his own fall may have occurred when he rebelled in his heart, and decided to tempt mankind and seize power over them. At this moment we hear God’s judgement against him - that he wanted to make himself high, but would be cast down to “eretz” meaning both “earth” but also “the underworld”.

Correct. Isaiah 14 shows the pride of Lucifer. He was the #1 top angel whose wings literally covered the Throne of God. This apparently wasn't enough for him. God declared 6 judgments against him, reducing him each time. 1. Cast him out of Heaven. He no longer covers the Throne of God. 2. Curse him to crawl on his belly with no legs (the serpent). 3. Rename him Satan (the enemy or adversary). This also changed his character. He now had to be the enemy of God at all times. He couldn't repent or do any good deed. 4. He was de-fanged when Jesus died on the cross and resurrected. He was broken and there was a time limit placed on him. 5. After the Battle of Armageddon, Satan will be bound in a pit for 1000 years where he will be unable to influence the world. 6. The final judgment will be casting him into the Lake of Fire for all eternity. Pride set him on this path. It's a huge problem for people as well. Pride is the single most expensive thing you can own. Get rid of it.

Indeed, but to get a full third of angels to side with him, he would have needed a better sales pitch than "I'm awesome". There had to have been more to it than that, and resentment over humanity definitely makes sense as a trigger.

Yes it's a title not a name. I've heard it said that his true name is enlil but even that might be a pseudonym. Satan comes from the planet saturn which some believe was like a second sun at one time and it still puts out more energy than it receives from the sun. That would explain why he was called "light bringer" or "morning star" as the planet was, or at least may have been, somehow dedicated to him.

In extra-biblical texts, it's pretty clear what the original thought was on this topic. He was upset and jealous, because he viewed humans as inferior. He was commanded to worship humans as the living image of God, but he refused. Instead, he thought humans should worship him. Some of the other angels thought so too.

Apostle Paul said they were suppose to "minister" to us, and also are left with curiosity as to why God became like us. It was implied in the book of Job that Satan could maybe just kinda get back into Heaven even after his fall.... although it's not his territory and he's not welcome there. It's plausible he could leap back up there after tempting the humans.

Another reason is you interpret the verses the wrong way, ex: thinking the "building temple" is literal when if you would have read even a smithereen of the new testament youl see the new non literal meaning. Which fills in the blanks for the rebellion. If you look at first chapter in Genesis. God created Heaven singular and Earth singular. But now we get the spirit hovering over the waters and darkness. This in my opinion was judgment because everything is in chaos at this point. The earth was already in the waters. Adam was told to replenish the earth. That means it was filled once. Also we get three heavens because God had to divide them why. The 3rd heaven is where God resides it is separated from the second Heaven via the firmament above which is the sea of glass. Why did God separate The third Heaven from the second which is space. Because that is where Satan and the fallen angels domain is. Remember God didn’t call the space in between the firmament above and below which is outer space good reason why Satan and those angels live there.
