One very key point the story of job, that is often overlooked is: It was God who brought up job and it was God whom with His judgement declared at the start that Job was "blameless and upright.." So a key reason, perhaps the most important reason why Satan went after Job was to prove before all the heavenly hosts that God erred in judgement that God was wrong publicly (for them). It was never really about Job, it was about satan testing God's judgement and correctness.

What many tend to miss, was the fact that the dialog between God and satan was not know to Job at all. He went through the trial totally unprepared and not knowing what the deal was.

Technically the word 'Lucifer' isn't in scripture as a name. In fact, Satan is never given a name, even Satan is just a title meaning 'adversary' or 'enemy' which is even used to describe God being angry with David in 1 Chronicles 21 (We know it's God from 2 Samuel 24). Just goes to show how the dude is so insignificant to not even have his name remembered. 'Lucifer' comes from the late 4th-century latin vulgate translation of the Hebrew word 'helel' meaning "star of the morning" in Isaiah 14:12. Lucifer or any such variation of that word as a name, is not present in scripture anywhere.

Wow, I just found your channel, and mannnnnn I am grateful. The lord has been resting on me. And I have fallen short, and on this path of repentance I have accepted surrender to Christ, to God. To all of heaven, because it is my HONOR to SERVE. And the story of job is an amazing testimony to OUR GODS MERCY and just utmost love and humility. Who could be so gracious as our lord? Doctrine is mostly sound, but there is a lot of reading into the text and making assumptions. Assumptions are okay, but to place them alongside what is biblically clear is a bit dangerous. the being here in Zechariah 3:1-4 is actually the angel of the lord who is god. the angel of the lord is called Yahweh in verse 2 of Zechariah 3 and said Yahweh rebukes you satan. so the angel is a divine messenger of god. and is later becomes jesus Christ.

I really liked the video, but I have my doubts about whether Satan's ultimate goal is just to consolidate his argument. In the same way that humans use their Free will to pose as their own gods, it is natural to think that the same would apply to Satan. I remember that the scriptures say that because of who he was, he was amazed at all its power and beauty, and decided that he should be the one to rule creation, that he should be like God. Perhaps all his work in tempting humanity and take it away from God is to show through them that God is flawed and that Satan should be in his place.

What I realized about the book of job is that he knew everything about God, but the moment everything was stolen from him. It was,like he never REALLY knew God.

Lucifer never was a name but a title. The bible wasn't even refering to him in that passage. Even what jews consider to be his angel name is a title itself, H'Satan(pronounced 'hasatan'). The H' means "The" and Satan translates do "adversary". The H' is to set that he's THE adversary, not a simple one. The adversary of both the Creator, YASHA(Jesus) and mankind itself. And The Angel of The Lord is no other than YAUSHA (Jesus) himself, witch is also the archangel MichaEl. Who else besides The Creator could have such authority? It starts to make sense when you read those below in conjunction: Exodus 23:20-21 Daniel 12:1 1 Thessalonians 4:16 (Older translations, though. The recent ones says that He'll wait for the voice of an Archangel to play the horn. But in the original scriptures of what composes the bible, there's only one Archangel)

Hey man, I love your dedication to seeking biblical truth, but most of the stuff about Satan being the most beautiful angel and falling from heaven is actually from the book of Enoch- an ancient Hebrew religious text that is not in the Bible. We get told these things as Christians because it's a common belief and we assume it's in the Bible, but it's not. I think all we truly need to know about Satan is that he is real, he is our enemy, he has strategies that he uses to bring us down, and he is powerless compared to God. As it says in 1 Timothy 1:4, "command them not to spend their time on stories that are made up. They must not waste time on family histories that never end. These things only lead to fights about ideas. They don’t help God’s work move forward. His work is done by faith." (NIrV) Instead of speculating about who Satan really is, we should be focused on the mission God gave us: to make disciples of all nations. (Matt. 28:19-20) Keep using your channel to glorify God, brother, and keep on the full armor of God to guard against Satan's accusations. God bless!

Good animation. However I disagree with the assertion of 3:29, that Job was humanity's first example of a victory over Satan. It's much more likely to have been Noah. Noah is said to have found grace in the eyes of the Lord, was described as a preacher of righteousness, and exhibited the blind faith to build an ark when no one had even seen a massive flood before. The story of Job was likely to have occurred some time between Noah and Abraham, let's say between Genesis 10 and 12.

This is an amazing puzzle and telling of what could have happened between Lucifer and God himself. I personally empathize with both but going against god is the ultimate sin in my eyes. Lucifer wasn't giving God his full support or at least helping humanity with their flaws. He was just using them to destroy God's original plans for Humanity. Such a shame for someone so close to God himself.

God could have casted Satan to hell after he tempted Adam and Eve

I should note, some have argued the Satan in Job may not have been the great rebel, but an accuser whose responsibility was to catalog human deeds, and who erred in thinking he could judge the heart of humans better than God himself, a contention which necessitated this to prove God's appraisal before the divine assembly (and us, the readers) and demonstrate that He alone measurers the hearts of men.

Satan's real punishment from god was because satan proved to god that he was not all powerful. If god had been all powerful he would have been able to make men so perfectly that no person would have ever chosen to sin. that ultimately is what satan did that god could not forgive satan for doing.

Also nothing unclean can be in god's presence. So the christian story makes no sense. In the judaism it does make sense. In the original hebrew text, It was not satan who was talking to god, it was an angel of god called hasatan, which means tempter, but hasatan is not a fallen angel In judaism.
