Let’s see; Boeing refuses to go with a Lithium Aluminum alloy for the fuselage and decides to use more “proven” traditional alloys for the plane hoping new technology with thinner insulation and newly designed internal reinforcement techniques will do the trick. It then decides to have bigger 787 sized windows and to pressure the 777X at the same altitude and humidity as the 787 while using the same old fuselage alloy technology as the legacy 777. Now it wonders why the fuselage is cracking during tests. You can’t make this up. Cramming an extra seat per row to decrease fuel burn per seat is gimmick. It feels like all these bandaids (like structural reinforcement techniques) are just repeating the same mistakes as the Max program. Boeing is trying to get more out of outdated airframes than they were designed to do and is simply patching problems rather than acknowledging the systemic issues of their process. Some folks never learn.

it looks cursed to me..... this is a classic sign of bad engineering like the old British Leyland cars..........just a pile of junk, the 777X should've been flying years ago.

Let´s hope the new management of Boeing has understodd the issue and will correct that in order to come back to a more sound internal politics and set of values. I am convinced the workers know how to, it is just that the management culture has to be rolled back to fit aviation standards.

Maybe the design will be a bit dated when it is finally in service? It is already 11 years old and is "just" an upgrade, NEO of the original 777. Will it match A350-1000? What if Airbus makes a A350-1000 NEO?

If problems continue, and a strike in process fills de enviroment, there will be only a winner in Two engine heavy long distance jet airliner, the Airbus A 350, despite a recent engine problem making ground temporary the type. The issue is from a supplier, not from design and construction performance.

Another Airbus knife job on Boeing, ho hum. When you appoint accountants not Engineers to run a company and there are already inherited culture issues (McDonnell-Douglas acquisition) the company loses its focus. One big mistake was not appointing engineer Alan Mulally as CEO when Phil Condit left. Mulally was so capable he ended up as CEO at Ford Motor Company where he probably saved them from bankruptcy. I think Boeing will sort all this out its not like everything else in the USA is going great either just now.
@keithmclean4283
@keithmclean4283 2 дня назад
Airbus did not need to do a knife job. Boeing's wounds are self-inflicted and have a known source. Did you notice that the Europeans say virtually nothing about Boeing? Maybe Airbus fear it could develop similar problems if they are not very careful.
@arunta5
@arunta5 2 дня назад
@@keithmclean4283 Europe is being de-industrialised because of the cheap energy problems now Russia is at virtual war. VW just closed their last plant going to Mexico for cheap power labor. BASF huge, gone as well. France is an exception, but they have immigration and other issues causing instability. Gadaffi said' "remove me and Europe will be flooded with refugees from Africa." The outlook for Europe and the EU is very grim unless they change course and I see no sign of that. Airbus is along for the ride. The US seems to like it this way.

I think its best to scrap and cancel the 777X project to avoid problems and more delays. Its best to let go of it and focus on getting back to work and look ahead
@reubenmorris487
@reubenmorris487 3 дня назад
Your statement is oxymoronic. You can't scrap the 777X while looking ahead. The 777X IS the future (10 years) of Boeing commercial airplanes, as well as competent executives/board of directors.

@ChristopherZavalaVlogs
@ChristopherZavalaVlogs День назад
Its not oxymoronic, Airbus already has the lead, plus they've updated their new Rolls Royce engines for the A350, and even burn less more fuel than the GE 9X engines and more airlines are canceling their orders for the 777X! Boeing is spending more money on test flights and losing more millions. If they keep delaying the 777X, they're gonna go bankrupt and Boeing employees are on strike because of their pension plans. I mean, I like Boeing, but they're in deep sh(bleep) and this project and the 737MAX crisis, is not gonna help them out of this. That's why it's best to cancel and scrap the 777X and 737MAX projects for good

@roberthenry9319
@roberthenry9319 2 дня назад
As written, what you are saying in your comment is that America needs to return to being a society of racism, social injustice and unequal opportunity in order to be successful, productive and powerful both now and in the future. Yes, racism, social injustice and unequal opportunity did work well for us from the founding of our country in 1776 to the period up until the end of WW ll. But winning a global war against racism, inequality, racism and injustice (the pillars of both Nazi Germany and Japanese fascism and imperialism) became so important to the functioning of America after WW ll that over a period of about 25 years (1945-1970), it became clear that further tolerance of racism, unequal opportunity and injustice was going to destroy our society and our future. So "woke" (an intolerance of social injustice, racism unequal opportunity) has become a core strength of America, and not, as you say, a "core problem". However, something tells me that you will not understand any of this. Perhaps that is because I smell a MAGA mentality in your comment. The opportunity for you to understand what "woke" is and what it means is available to you. This is still America, so you can choose not to understand and move forward. But that means that you will be left behind the rest of us in your future, @jojje3000.

@@roberthenry9319 Woke pushing is not about pro or anti Trump. You're full of shit to the max with this long winded blurb. Woke is not about ending racism. That began from Lincoln and onto MLK. The KKK has little to no influence on society today. You're a far leftist activist who probably contributes to chaos like you are spewing off here. I take no part in any of your political parties as I am not an American. I love American people of all walks of life. Your last sentence shows YOU and those who think like yourself want to be in control of America's agenda. Woke staffing is an agenda, NOT equality.
