Same. I was about 7. I think it was the first legit well deserved real life vigilante justice I saw as a kid. It's a really formative thing for a boy to experience. It stuck with me forever. And not in any traumatic way, like a life lesson type thing about fatherhood I think.
Thank you again to Jody for coming to the show and sharing his story, and thank you guys for lining it up and having him on. Like I said before, I think this is very possibly one of the most important shows you guys have done.
Jody, you have so much strength and I do admire what you must have endured through your life and to be able to come out with such a great sense of humor and outlook on life. Cheers.
3:42 I’ve never been more personally called out in my life…. 25 years old… carrying a Taurus 856 snub nose .38…… because I’m broke as shit…. And it indeed was $350 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
@@BayouBoy2443 I still love mine and I don’t care what people think. Im quickest on the draw from appendix carry and I refuse to have a chambered pistol sitting on my junk however I know it’s useless to carry one without a round ready to rock so I compromise on carrying a double action over my dick
Your dad is a true American HERO. We need more laws based around this subject. We need laws that protect parents from prosecution for frontier justice. I thank your dad for his righteous justice and service to America.
This incident was like one of my first memories as a kid. I don't think I really got it but I remember the whole sequence seeing it as a boy. I was 7 or so. But I do know at some point to me it showed a father's love at it's primal state. I actually bought the book last week when i first saw some of this. I think it was 18 bucks for the paperback like the one shown here. There is an audiobook version btw through Audible that I saw. Can't remember the price though.
My question is did he always keep the felony charge and lose his 2A rights??? Or was it expunged after the 5 years probation and community service??? Cause that 5 years is the typical state time for temporary felony charges, that go away after serving probation. At least in my state, Georgia.
@@jplauche holy shit man, is that really you?!?! Hope all is well mate, sorry about what happened to you... But I know your hero dad was able to bring you peace!! ✌️ And about the hidden gun in the house: "What the fed bois don't know, won't hurt em!!!" 🤣
@@millsrickman7703 Disagree. You can't be reintroducing guests of every clip. It would take forever. It takes a simple couple of clicks to find out who he is.
Might be someone needs to learn to shoot if you can't hit a bowling ball at that close range. I had a 4" 38Special revolver made by Taurus and using semiwadcutters I made 8 inch groups double action at 25'(using one hand). So maybe a bit of practice might help you? LOL
Yes you had 4in barrel while the snub nose is 2ins or less which while they are not as inaccurate as Brandon is saying it makes a difference if your shooting out of something like mine which has like an inch and a quarter long barrel vs a 4-5 inch full size
