Yeah, I watched the tape again and Floyd still lost. Manny landed more power and meaningful punches than Floydie. Manny was punching while Floydie was mostly running around, hugging and missing a lot of punches. How could a runner and a hugger won against the more aggressive puncher?

I’ve been viewing boxing since I was a kid with my Dad watching the old black and white TV during the days of Floyd Patterson BEFORE the days of Cassius Clay (at that time). Ideally, they would have postponed the fight to let Pac get the surgery and recover. Meanwhile, FM fights a Berto and maybe Garcia for the next two fights, and then when Pac was back to 100% they fight for FM's shot at 50 wins. But of course FM wouldn't do that, because he's got no class or balls. He wanted to fight Pac that night because he knew Pac was injured, and the best chance to beat him was at that moment. FM knew he'd never get a chance like that again. I know if they would have postponed the fight because of Pac's shoulder FM would've been crowing that Pac was a coward for the next year, that Pac didn't really have a shoulder injury and was scared to fight him. I'm sure Pac knew that too. Also, if the fight gets called off, who knows if it would've even happened? It was tough enough getting FM to agree to the fight in the first place. And with FM only having two more Showtime fights left on his contract, and he fights Berto and maybe Garcia, then Moonves wouldn't have had the ability to force FM to fight Pac because FM wouldn't have been under Showtime anymore. In a way, it was a good thing this fight happened, even though it turned out to be a bunch of bullshit, because it exposed FM as the fraud that he is. Plus, with Pac coming back after his layoff and picking a terrific fighter in Tim Bradley apart, it showed that if Pac was close to 100% that night, FM would've gotten destroyed.
